Yeah, I know ... such a pity that he's older now. But he would've been a cool young Sirius a few years ago.

Oh, yeah, my name ... let me introduce me: Christa.

Oh, me too, I'm absolutely sure. I also cry when I read the book. Which brings me to a question:

Is there anyone else who hardly ever reads the end of OotP when they read the book? I always stop when the OWLs take place. I just can't handle reading the end too often.

Well, nope, I don't skip the ending because there were some interesting things... of course, except Sirius's death (was it really death?). I must say that I hardly ever get really touched reading books. It happens more often while watching movies. But when I was reading the ending of OotP for the first time (in Polish version at first), I almost cried. Really. That proves it was such a sad moment.

I never skip the ending either, it's one of my favourite scenes actually... not that I like Sirius going through the veil, but I do love the 'come and have a go, if you think you're hard enough' type of attitude he gives off.

I also do like the very last chapter of the book. You know, when Harry's so sad and talks to Nick and so on. But I just can't read the three chapters Beyond the Veil, The Only One He Ever Feared and The Lost Prophecy. These just make me too sad.

I guess that's another sign to show how obsessed I am, right?

Mmm... brightened my day.
Gary Oldman is just so Sirius, whether young or older.

And as to the ending, I hardly ever skip the ending of any book/movie. It gives me a better feeling in the end than if I skipped..
With OOTP, I relish the fact that Sirius was courageous and daring up to the very finish, and I reckon that the following chapters - with Harry's take on it all- only serve to show how strong their bond was and still is.

Yeah. I think so

But you know what? One day, I was viewing PoA photos on my computer. My younger sister was with me. I've got PoA screencaps so it's a bit like we would be watching the movie without the sound. When I reached that moment of Harry and Sirius' farewell, you know, my sister whispered something like: "That was so sad... and then he died..." and she started to cry. And I did it too! Believe that? Just because of the photos I've seen many times before! Well, I think we were listening some sad song in that moment too...

Yeah. I always get sucked and have to finish the book even if I get teary...I can never put down ANY hp book once I've started...unless I finally get to a part where the dramas on a down-low...The end of OOTP is defo filled with too much excitement!

I guess so....It may be sad but I dunno...I think JKR wrote it perfectly...If she had planned to cut Siry off in OOTP from the begining... I think that's the best way...Even if really I hated it...

I'm not making much sense am I?

Aww...That's cute...But I also cried numerous times when OOTP first came out...
After HBP, I sort of accepted it and just hoped for him to return but I haven't really got teary in a while...

Um, Many people who dislike Sirys charrie ((As hard as it may seem to us, there are a bunch of people who feel this way...I've debated on and on with HP fans on this topic)) say he's too hot-headed/cocky. And that's exactly why he should've been in Slyth...I've tried but I can never really shut the people up and they still talk smack...Anyone have a similar experience?

Waaaaaaaaa, the talk of OotP has made me... moody... emotionless...

Do you know what I mean when I say that I get so sad when I read when Sirikins disappears (I don't like saying 'dies' or 'dying'), but at the same time I can't stop reading it? You know? It's so addicting, even though you wanna avoid it.

Yesh! I know hun. I'm the exact same...I don't know. I guess, I've learned to accept what's happened to him...WHatever it may be.

You see my previous question Amie? I think Laura fits that description perfect...Doesn't she?

A while ago I found a topic on this at the Mugglenet forums and it's amazing that there really are people who don't like him. They say he makes rash decisions, they don't like how he behaved in the Pensieve scene and - most of all - they don't like how he treats Snape and Kreacher (the little traitor).

I was just feeling a bit ... uhm ... Sirius and so I made four quote icons from Prisoner of Azkaban (quotes of course by Sirius). They're nothing special, but I thought that I could still post them here in the Club.

Like I said - nothing grand, but the best I can do with my graphics program.

I think they are good.

Sirius is the character that really, more than anyone gave Harry a link to his parents. As their best friend and Harry's godfather, he was the only loving family Harry had. I certainly hope for a reappearrance of him the last book...and am really expecting it.

As for those who don't care for Sirius, perhaps they need to examine their own decisions. We are all like that at some time.

Almost everytime I read that book I sorta stop reading near the end because everytime I read about Sirius falling through the veil I end up crying so I only read the ending every once in a while.

I don't like saying he 'died' or anything like that eiter. I always argue with my brother because he says Sirius is dead and I always say something like 'No he's not, he simply fell through the veil'

I have had arguments with people about this so many times that I couldn't count. I always drive them insane by it cuz I never back down from my opinion. LOL.

Sorry I wasn't on much yesterday, I was at my best friend's house.

Hehe, never back down. Your opinion matters the most.

PS: Heather, I <3 your avvy!

As to Tina's question, there'll always be people who won't like one character or the other. And I think they should look more closely at Sirius' evolution. They'd be wrong in calling him cocky still. Sirius well said that most people are 'idiots' at the age of 15, and I'm more than convinced that he has shown he has fully grown out of that stage.
