I think he didn't like the way his family was and he didn't want to follow in his footsteps so he made a choice that he wouldn't be in Slytherin.

I think that Peter may have felt those qualitites at one time, but bieng the least amongst brethren breeds jealousy..which certainly gives the opporunity to choose a path differnt than the one you set out on. | |

I agree. It makes a lot of sense. He could have been very loyal and brave at one point but when he made friends with he three he felt a little left out and then to make matters worse Lily came and he probably felt even more left ouit since the one person he looked up to a lot started spending more time with a girl and paid more attention to her than Peter. Yeah I thought about it a lot. | |

I absolutely loved how he portrayed Siry in PoA and I'm sure he'll also be great in OotP. I also think that he really looks like Sirius.
