ZOMG yes! I thought Lissy's perspective was awesome! When I was reading that I was like 'No way!' I always thought the veil was a gateway to another dimension, but I loved her take. It was just perfect.

I really felt like there had to be something more about the veil. It just didn't seem like that could be a true end for our dear Sirius. So anti-climactic and so not fitting for him. Even in death he suffers another injustice? I felt he couldn't really be dead. But JKR says he is... Perhaps, I feel, he is in the land of the dead and by being there really is dead to the world. But maybe there is a way to find his way out? I hope! I really do!

Either that, or it could just be a portal related to time and I can have my young Sirius back!

I think that if JK wanted us fans to be certain of his death, she would have chosen a different end for him. There's something about that veil and she'd better reveal it in Book 7!

Hey people! My name's Nazneen and I am an obsessed Sirius fan! I think I was most attracted to the fact that... well, it's difficult to explain... he says what he feels. He doesn't lie or squirm around anything. Plus he's the only one who really understands what Harry feels cos they've both passed through the same kind of circumstances. If I had to really elaborate on the reasons why Padfoot is just awesomeness itself, I would probably be here for days, so will try and find a way to express myself as I post here.

Agree with you Tina. I did like him after PoA and in GoF, but in OotP he was rocking! And the horrible thing is that for months before the book came out I had this hunch that Sirius would die in OotP, and I felt bad but not that bad, but then when I read the book I loved him so much I was literally praying that he wouldn't die... but then he did... NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

OK I'm getting a little carried away...

Oh yes, and another reason why Sirius rules... he's very similar to this guy in an Indian soap I watch, called Sujal... both are embittered by something or the other... and both are hotness and awesomeness!!!

Personally, I've always thought young Sirius was one of the hardest to picture, and that's why I'm so very curious as to the casting for OOTP.
The closest I've ever come across would be Tom Sturridge, a minor *cough* obsession of mine
He's played in 'Vanity Fair' and 'Being Julia', the last of which I absolutely adore.

I agree with many assessments that it just seems like the veil could not have been the end. Harry needs something to happen I think to help him get that extra edge in the final battle. Certainly the reappearance of those who have gone before him would give him an edge, whatever form those appearances take.
