Young Sirius. Heh. A beautiful, yet controversial topic.

I've gotten as far as to care less abt how much the actor will resemble my image of young Sirius, as I'm just asking for him to actually appear in OOTP. Truthfully, I cannot understand how there are doubts whether to include the roles of young Sirius and Lupin in the movie... seeing as though they are including so many secondary characters, it wouldn't hurt to see those two, as well. After all, they're one of the most anticipated fractions of the movie, just like the entire Pensieve scene.
For the movie's sake, and our enjoyment's, I do hope there will be what to swoon over in OOTP, namely, a young Sirius.

Sirius's & Jame's characters are hard to find, and they need two actors one for each to be just as compatible with each other on the movie screen as sirius and james in the books were .. so most definitely might take time. But i hope not too long!.

*pets* . But he also brought in some nice scenes of hogsmade, the knight bus: the skeletons made me crack up!, and ron & hormione's scene..

You talked about the screnes in the 3rd movie always went black while changing. Yeah, I hated that too :/ but in the 4th movie he took that away. Couldn't stand it, maybe the ideia was to make the movie "darker" but he worked to close to the meaning lol if you understand what I'm saying!

I wonder if they are going to have Sirius a little cleaner since he does have fresh water and a bed to sleep in. (Gary would then look like he did in The Scarlet Letter - Yummy!!!)

Good point. They're going to need two actors who have an on-screen chemistry that makes you believe these are two very good friends, as close as brothers. I'm sure it will be a satisfactory choice when it is finally made, but still, the patience in me is wearing thin.

But still, they announced James' interpret, and rumours started circulating even as to Lupin - but all this time not a word about Sirius. I'm starting to think it may be just a WB strategy, like in Viktor Krum's case, for the GOF. When Stanislav's first pic was released, it was soon taken off the net by WB officials, stating that they were mistaken, and they wanted to give the character of Krum a 'more spectacular entrance'. Considering that Sirius is one of the most popular charries in JK's universe, it could be a similar case now, with the actor who'll interpret his younger self.
WB is definitely getting the audience excited about it all, and I sure do hope we'll have what to be excited about, lastly.

yeah, hi.....just a thought, but, do you think that guy who played Edmund in the Chronicles Of Narnina would make a great young Sirius? he is sorta cute...sorta...and he has the black hair, bad guy attitude, and british accent!

I did not know that there would be a young sirius portrayed in the fifth movie! I'm so excited now. I can't hardly stand it! when does this movie come out? November?

We have over a year before we get to see Sirius on the big screen again. I just wish that some of the pictures with Gary would come out. We are hoping and praying that there will be a young Sirikins added to the movie. I would be ashamed if he were not there.

I don't how old they are going to be portraying the marauders as, but certainly older than the actor who portrayed Edmund. I'm thinking the boys will probably be about 14-15 at least, and that is a definite stretch for Skandar Keynes. Personally, I think he is rather homely...

^ Ohh, he really does look good But I don't think that he's got this ... well, Marauder look, if you get my meaning. I think that Jamie Bell would maybe make a good Sirius, although he doesn't have the right hairstyle in all the photos of him I've seen.

I agree with you Jo!! We need the bad boy, best mate image thing going on here. Someone who's eyes stand out above the rest and who's facial features are something that we would never forget. *sighs* Johnny Depp is too old....*cries* can't believe I just said that....but someone who reminds me of Johnny would be one that I would go with. You can always give someone contacts (except Dan in the first movie).

As far as Jamie Bell, I think he would make an excellent Remus and agree with Amber on that one.

Huzzah! My thoughts exactly. I can't think of an actor who fits the bill, though. I'm sure the actor who is eventually chosen will not be well known, at least to anyone outside of the UK.

Gary Oldman did an awesome job in PoA...we didn't really see him much in GoF but in the book he was in there a lot...I was kind of disappointed...but still I loved him in PoA!

So, by now we probably have all seen photos of our young Siry. What do you think? I say that he has definitely a lot of potential and I can just imagine him in Hogwarts robes and pulling a prank on Snivellus.

I think that being his girlfriend she would have better pictures then what she provided for the HP world to see. With that being said and from what I can tell in the pictures (as I look at them more and more), he is definately going to be a good looking Marauder for me, you just can't see it in the pictures yet.... No Siriusly, I think that he will be okay I am just ready for the real pictures of him to come out and not some cheesy snapshot taking on the spur of the moment by a cheap camera....No hard feelings, eh?

Well, you do have a point. The pics are not best quality, but I can still see it - he has it in him. There's just this look in his eyes that tells me that he's a Marauder. But let's wait for the next pics of him.
