Well, we obviously know that the Marauders, well only 2 of them, James and Sirius absolutely loved jinxing and hexing Snivellus! *tries to wipe smile off face but cracks up once again*

Well, if you go through Snape's Worst Memory which just so happens to be my most FAVORITE chapter of all HP books, Chapter 28 of OoTP, there you will be first hand witness to the pranks that James and Sirius pulled on Snape. There you will find the obvious ones:

Impedimental - capable of tripping, freezing, binding, knocking back and generally impeding the target's progress towards the caster

Used by James to keep Snape from grabbing for his wand that was so talently taken by him with the Experlliarmus charm.

Scourgify - Pink soap bubbles

Guys and gals, this is what you get for the use of letting out "a stream of mixed swearwords and hexes" as Snape did. Oh, that was uncalled for! Snape should not have done that!! *points finger*

Levicorpus - Victim is dangling upside down in the air

Oops! This is what happened when Snape finally broke loose from the Impediamental hex and created a slash on the side of James' face. Never mess with a "messy haired" guy. He is liable to hang you from your feet upsidedown in the air, asking that ever-so famous question from OoTP "Who wants to see me take off Snivelly's pants?"

I loved the Levicorpus thingy a lot.... wish I could see those snivelly's pants off...

Ahh I felt so sorry for Snape when they started poking fun at him! Sure he isn't the nicest guy in the world but..gahh! I simply hate bullying.

I'm quite sure if they were about to take of Snapes pants at the end of their fifth year, they probably took his pants off for sure in the beginning of sixth year. Snape probably has that memory in his pensieve too. ^.^

I dont know why...but I have a feeling that one time the Mauraders must have washed Snapes hair.

Call me stupid as its not really even a prank but I feel that. o.O

Interesting topic This was always the side of the Marauders that I somewhat doubted all throughout. The things they did to Snape made them come out as downright bullies, and even though Sirius mentioned the fact that at 15 they were all idiots or smth similar, I still think it condemnable, AS LONG AS Snape didn't perhaps start everything, or act worse than them at a time. Maybe he did deserve it, who knows?, but then again, being the brilliant youths that they were, the Marauders could have thought of other ways to deal with Snape, other than bullying. Then again, they must have seen it as sheer fun; the bullies always do, though.

Well, much to ponder on that issue..


I'm pretty sure they must have done smth similar; they mentioned his slimy hair far too often, so at a certain time, they couldn't have missed the opportunity to mess with it a little, even if from a distance.

Well, I for one enjoy each and every Maurader prank described in the books. This side to the Mauraders was the first thing that got me so engrossed with them. I know in a way it was harsh but they were just so... clever and why waste it? Okay, so they could've used it actually thinking about their studies but they were just my ideal type of pranksters.

For some evil reason, I never felt sorry for Snape. I don't know why. Since the begining, I have hated Snape with a passion and though there are many different theories about how he'll be the one who helps Harry defeat Voldy, I'll forever hate him. So, in a way, I enjoyed each and every one of the pranks they played on him, even if it may make me sound evil.

I always wondered why Harry wasn't as interested in their old detention records when he was doing detention with Snape during the Quiditch match in HBP. I would've been thrilled if I could go back and read up on their lil adventures. Then again, as a captain missing the Quiditch match probably made him feel guilty... I don't know but the Maurader pranks will always interest me. XD

I kinda did this into a short story, so ... yeah!

Snape walked down to the Library peacfully, grooming his greasy hair. Sirius and James were just around the corner watching as Snape moved on the Marauder's Map.
"Here he comes," Sirius whispered, excitedly.
"Yep!" James replied. "He's deffinatley going to regret this. And Slytherin's playing against Gryffindor today as well."
Sirius chuckled. "This is going to be our worst ... I mean best prank ever!"
"Shh! He's nearly here. Remember what to do?"
"Yeah! I've been waiting a life time to do this!"
Sirius and James pulled out their wands and waited for Snape to turn the corner.
When Snape turned the corner, James yelled, "Patrificus Potalous!"
Snape screamed in terror, froze, and fell to the floor.
Sirius shouted, "Scourgify!"
Soapy bubbles shot out of Sirius' wand.
"Take that you greasy hair freak!" Sirius said, laughing.
Sirius and James shook hands and admirred their work.
"Well," James said. "Better get rid of him."
"Where hould we put our hostage?" Sirius asked.
"The girl's bathroom!" they two said together.
"Well," James said. "It's going to take both of us to get him in there. He wieghs a ton!"
"Okay!" Sirius agreed. "Better hurry up. It's almost time for the Quidditch match. Boy, the Slytherins aren't going to be to happy when they find their greasy little friend not there to catch the Snitch for them!"
James laughed. Sirius did, as well. The two looked at each other and said, "Wingardium Liviosa!"
Snape hoovered above the floor. Then, he flew through the bathroom door.
CRASH! The door broke, but Snape was at least in the bathroom.
"Reparo!" Sirius shouted.
The door was mended.
"Good job Sirius," James said.
"Thanks! You did a great job as well," Sirius said in return. "Well, we best be off seeing if Slytherin will forfiet the match."
The boys laughed as they left Snape behind.

Haha! The Levicorpus thing was SO funny! A bit harsh though, seeing as Snivellus didn't actually do anything to them in the first place :p

I wonder if they did take his pants off! :o
