dont mean to break up the conversation about the veil itself...it is kind of a theory to Sirius's death...and i havent really had anyone to tell it to...but the SBFC is definitely the perfect place to post it so here goes

k well i dont have the book with me right now so i dont remember what page it is on but its the page where sirius gets it...it says something about Bellatrix casting a spell and it is a jet of red light and it misses sirius...but when sirius gets hit with the second jet of light it isnt specified what color teh light is...i looked it up and Stupefy is the spell that has a red jet of light...and that is a stunning spell...so i was thinking that maybe sirius didnt really die persay but was just stunned when he went through teh veil since the second jet's color was never specified...and if it was avada kedavra one would think that JKR would have specified it as a green light

so maybe the reasoning behind him falling through the veil and being dead while falling through it or being stunned and falling through it would be 2 different situations as to what is really behind the veil

i know its a LONG shot but i just wanted to see what everyone elses thoughts were...i was trying to figure out anyway possible that Sirius survived

I agree with you, and as I believe, once Bellatrix is dead Sirius is goin' to be able to come back, cuz I truly hope that he has just been pertrify!
