I loved the character Sirius Black as soon as I read POA. But really fell in love with him when I found out that my favorite Actor was cast as him in the movie. I was really sad when Jo killed him in OOTP but I'm happy that he made a comeo in the last book. I hope it makes it to the movie.

I was worried about joining in on the fan clubs because everyone seems so young here on SS. I am a 40 y/o former school teacher. But I have seen that not all of you are 'babies' (My step son is 28, if you are under that age the you will always be a baby in my eyes, sorry thats what happens when you become a mother, even a step-mother.)

I now spend my time doing genealogy research, HP web surfing, and Gary Oldman web surfing and I own a small new age gift shoppe call 'The Magick Box.

I live in Leland North Carolina which is near Wilmington, the home of Screen Gem Studios. Dawson's Creek, One Tree Hill and Whittaker Bay were Filmed in Wilmington, as was Matlock, Track 29 (Gary Oldman film) and soooooo many more.

Hi guys, thank for adding me. I just love Sirius. It broke my heart so much when he died. I was so cut up about it that I wrote a fan fiction about the time just after he'd been arrested where his few remaining allies try to prove his innocence. Ithink it was a desperate attempt to keep him alive.

I hated the fact that he died. He was such a great character - and I really wanted Harry to be able to move in with him. That would have a been a... nice development to the story, for lack of a better word.

Reason for joining: There are sooo many, where do I start? For one, Sirius became my favorite character almost as soon as he was introduced. He was such a loyal, kind-hearted friend to James and he LOVED Harry almost as much as I did. He encompassed all of the personality traits that I look for in people. He was honest, trustworthy, dependable (although at times irresponsible), brave and passionate. Not too mention...gorgeous.

I love Sirius, because he's so strong, arrogant, funny, caring, brave and carefree...something we would all like to be...I love the fact that he's very loyal to his best friend and even dies to help his son and his own Godson. His death was really tragic but I believe he lives on in the hearts of all of us who love him dearly.

I decided to join this fanclub because well...Sirius Black is awesome. My favourite part of the Harry Potter books, for some reason was always the parts about the Marauders. This was probably the reason that I joined SS so I could read the fanfics regarding the Marauders. Sirius and his transformations have always made him an awesome character in the series. I was completely devistated when he died. It was funny I came out of the movie and this kid was like "How could they kill him?" and I turned to him and said, "Kid...read the books!"
