12 days of potter thread

Hello SBFC members, I thought I'd create a thread to make it easier on us. Here is where us, SBFC members can discuss on what to plan for the holiday season. I am not sure how many were around during last year, but we celebrated the holidays over the entire month of christmas where admins did something special over a period of days and the entire event was called 12 days of potter. This year we will be having the same thing, but instead of admins hosting it, it will be fan clubs hosting certain days.

SBFC will be on Day 1 - December 1st - 2nd - Sirius Black, Snape

SBFC get to have Day 1 with Severus Snape FC. It would be great if officers and members of the club collaborated and brainstormed for ideas on what special treat to give SS Members for the holiday season.


Okaay, so i am allowing questions regarding the event come in here as well. This way we can all be on the same side. Also any suggestions you have, PLEASE do post them in here.

We share a day with Snape I wonder if we can do something fun that plays that up. I made the suggestion to the SSFC too, not that I can influence anything there... hehe

I remember last Christmas the Adims did like Avvie saying Hello my name is...something something

well how about Sirius called me his sweetie or his pal or his food changer something like that

got more ideas *hits head* but they won't get out

Yes they did the "hello my name" avatars and placed one of your favorite items in there, it was rather cute.

I mentioned this in the chat, but since its about this topic i was thinking along the lines of a marauder's badge, possibly with "Mischief Managed" on it.

Okay, so for suggestions we have:
1. Avatars with Sirius saying a "comment" about a member
2. Marauder's Badge


We can compile a list of suggestion first and then discuss more about them once we have a few good ones and plan it out

Alright, I had this idea in another FC as well, but looks like we could use the suggestion more here than there. What if we had tags that said something like, 'The R in Sirius' or 'The B in Black'?

Oohhhhhhh! My thoughts exactly. I was thinking of teaming up with Snape people but making sure that everyone knew that it was just a joke/prank/blah blah blah so that it did not get out of hand. I love your way of thinking my dear Lissy!

I like this idea too. For the Snape fans we have "Hello My Name Is Snivellus/Greasy hair/<insert Sirius quote on Snape here>" (That one was for Snape himself)

You know how much I love my Sirius comments and love to put them to Avatars and such (along with you ) That sounds like a fun idea also.

This is something to think about as well but that is a lot of tags for one person to put in. *looks to Lissy*

I'm not sure about competition wise but I know that Snape FC has some good graphics members as well.

You know Rhea, over in my other FC, I told people that we would also have a voting/poll to see who likes what the best. We might think about having it here also seeing all the wonderful suggestions and such.

We do have a lot of graphic makers in the house but I would like to make it to where everyone could participate if they wanted too. But either way I am okay with anything, just about.

Yes, we need suggestions

Tags are always fun!!! SBFC is very popular for giving them out when members join the club. I am not sure about doing it again for 12 days of potter
Maybe we can use the titles in something different other than tags? If so what

Working with Snape FC is brilliant and i agree with stacey they are awesome with graphics. So count me in . 12 days of potter isn't about competitions betweeb clubs though, its about giving something to SS members for the holidays, so how about we do something graphics wise with Snape FC for SS members

Poll idea sounds superb!!! i can add one to this thread once we have enough suggestions and club members can vote for their favourite one

Okay Guys! This seems tobe sound crazy but I have a thought!

Why don't we play the SS Radio 24 hours on that Day for the members! So that we can Entertain the members as well as us. But with one condition, One for one(one song for each member)as per their request. So that Every member will get a chance.

Its not crazy, thats pretty fun actually ..
Since i am the only SBFC member that can DJ, i don't mind taking requests and such but 24 hours is a loong time, and i would have to sleep at some point . however we would have to stick to my playlist =D

So yup! we can do that , maybe we can make it sirius themed or play games on air?

That's a good idea! I suggested it over in the SSFC, too! But I like the ideas that people are coming up with! Another idea could be drabble requests on a particular subject. Easier than fanfics, most definitely! And I would love to work with you guys, because a SSFC and SBFC Christmas would be so totally awesome!

The one sentence story about Sirius related. Each sentence contains and explains the whole story! And It's not necessary to be a continueos story or related to the previous poster's sentences.

Let's think

We can ask other DJ's to host, but they also have other clubs they sponsor and would need the time to work with them as a priority, so we don't want to overwhelm them with our work as well

One line fic would be difficult to implement since, we have to GIVE members something as a present. I don't see how we can do that using line addons =).


Since we don't have alot of time left i will post the poll immediately and you guys can vote on what sbfc should do. All results are not final and i will look over the votes to see whats best fits sbfc.
The poll will be open for exactly 24 hours then i will post our claim.


Edit: I did not add the sirius/snape avatars option because both SBFC & SSFC will be working individually.
