Ryoma Shiradou Leaky Cauldron bartender | How to look like Hermione Granger implodey pixie ♧ gryffinDORK| |½ team house elf ♣ official cookie girl banner by sweetpinkpixieLooking to take your love and appreciation for everyone's favorite Gryffindor bookworm to the next level? Merlin are you in the right place! Here are some ways that YOU, muggle or not, can strive to resemble the brightest witch of her day! Curl your hair so your hair looks curly, as Hermione's hair is often described as "bushy". In the movies Hermione's hair varies from wavy to crimped, but it is genuinely curly and bushy in the books. If your hair isn't already curly and you don't particularly fancy the idea of using hot irons, then try this: After you have a shower leave your hair slightly damp and part you hair into a few sections, then twist each section up into a little bun and sleep on it. You should awake with some nice waves in your hair. Or you could split your hair into a few sections (depending on how thick your hair is) and braid yor hair. You could either sleep with them in or keep them in for half the day and you will have nice waves. Optionally you can also dye your hair a shade of medium brown and wear brown eye contacts (if your eyes are not already dark). Mimic her wardrobeFashion is not something that Hermione worries about. It’s more about books rather than looks! She is hardly vain, yet that doesn’t mean she lets herself look disheveled. Just remember to keep things tidy, simple and, most importantly, modest. School uniform: This consists of a v-neck sweater, white collared shirt with the Gryffindor tie, plain, pleated skirt, stockings or tights, mary-janes, black cloak, and a wizard robe (first and second year uniform is grey and thereafter is black). To finish off the outfit you may want to add a Gryffindor beanie and scarf in the house colors (gold and red), which you can knit yourself if you wish. Perhaps even a Prefect badge (Hermione may have become Head Girl the year she went back to finish her studies, but this is uncertain.) Casual dress: Because Hogwarts is rather chilly, when Hermione has to wear muggle clothing she opts for thick coats, jackets, striped or patterned knit sweaters and cardigans, jeans, cords, cargo or chino pants, and a good pair of sneakers. You can also imitate Emma Watson's wardrobe from the movies; wear cute, classic pieces like sweaters, hoodies, and chinos. Formal dress: For this occasion you should straighten your hair and then curl the ends. Make sure it has lots of volume though. (This will have the same affect as the Sleakeazy's hair potion that Hermione uses on special occasions.) Wear an elaborate dress. In her fourth year she attended the Yule Ball wearing a periwinkle blue dress, and in the film she wears a dusty pink coloured dress. In the Deathly Hallows book she wears a light purple dress to Bill and Fleur’s wedding, and in the film she wears a red dress. Pajamas: Wear either a long nightgown with a light coloured dressing gown with a pair of slippers or a plain tank top and pants with slippers and a dressing gown. Wear minimal and very natural makeup.Hermione does not care a dreadful lot about her appearance, so remember that it's your personality that counts - no matter what you wear or how your hair/face looks. However, a light foundation, lip balm, natural coloured eye shadow and mascara would do good to even your skin and make your features stand out. Hermione also has nicely shaped plump eyebrows; you can use an eyebrow grooming brush and hold gel for this look. Carry a few books you are reading (or just haven't returned to the library yet) with you in a tan satchel style book-bag.You could even include Quidditch Through the Ages, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, or The Tales of Beedle the Bard, which have been published (or you could just make fake covers). Obtain some sort of wand to carry around as well. Hermione's wand (before it was stolen) was made of vine wood and dragon heart-string, which is fairly dark. You can use a twig, make one out of clay, paint a pencil, or whatever you like. Consider adopting a catPreferably it should be large, long haired, and have a sort of squashed face so it looks like Hermione's cat Crookshanks. That kind of cat is a ginger Persian, but they are very very expensive. Also you can just carry around a stuffed animal cat that has the same appearance. Accessorize! You might wear a SPEW pin, a lumpy, wool "house-elf" hat, or a golden chain with a small hourglass charm (to represent the time turner). There you have it! Just follow these 7 easy steps and you are well on your way to looking just like Hermione Granger! Good luck! NOTE: this is just a bunch of silliness and shouldn't be taken too seriously.
