Russian Forum Announcements

This is for the annoucements concerning activities and events happening in the Russian forum! Your Russian Language Mods will keep you updated on what is going on in this wonderful place. This thread will be in English only so that even members who are not fluent in the Russian language can understand it and hopefully be more inclined to participate in the activities and post in the threads.

If you have any suggestions for activities, games, events or threads, feel free to post in this thread if you have any questions or suggestion. We'll make sure to answer all your questions and take your ideas in consideration!

We have made it to the point to getting this forum some activity! We have plenty of games and discussions for you guys to post in. We also have the chat thread up and running, so please feel free to stop by for a little while.

If you have any suggestions, please post them in the Вопросы и Предложения thread. We would love to have your suggestions to make the Russian language forum a better place for everyone!

If you are not fluent in the Russian languaage, you are now allowed to post in English in the chat thread! We have chosen to make this change in order to have more people be able to speak in the thread while learning some Russian at the same time. We do, however, ask you to use a word or two in Russian from what you have learned in the Learn Russian thread.

Also, check out some of the other threads in this forum. Some of them have both Russian AND English translations in them.

Do you see some new threads about the place that you've never seen before? Well, don't worry that you didn't notice them before. I have recently bumped all of the forums that were starting to loose activity because they haven't been posted in recently. We here at the Russian forum want some activity in each and every one of our beloved threads.

There is a way stop this little thread disappearing issue if you wish to see all the threads at all times whenever you pop into the forum or any other forum on SS. All you have to do is head over to your User CP, click on Edit Options, and scroll down until you get to the Thread Display Options box. Once your there, you scroll down a little bit until you find Default Thread Age Cut Off and change the option from Use Forum Default to Show all threads. Then click Save Changes and your good to go! BAM! You will be able to see all threads in every forum that you go to. It's just a nice way to be able to see the threads that need some lovin'.

Also, I have been planning a new game for our forum that I think will help make those begining Russian learners make learning the language fun. I am still making some last minute additions to it, but I promise you that this new game will be coming very soon.

Just so that you all will be informed, I will be on away from the computer starting August 16th and lasting until the 19th.

While I'm away, the games, discussions, and our chat thread are still open to you all. I would just like to remind you to continue following all SS Rules, play nicely, and - most importantly - have fun. I know that four days may seem like forever, but I promise that I will be back sooner than you think.

With that being said, there is only one thing left to say:

I'm back again with another announcement!

First I'll update you on that game I promised you all a while ago. It is still in the making. I have only like half of the rules planned out, but it will show up ... eventually. But while this game is still being created, I have something you all can take part in.

I just recently started up a thread in the Russian forum for all SSers to post in. The new thread is called 101 Reasons Why We love the Russian Forum, and, as you have probably guessed, we will be making a list on why we love the Russian forum!

Pretty easy, eh? Then get in there and post!

From today I am a mod of the Russian forum. My name is Anna. I am quite kind and friendly, so you can contact me for any questions that you care about. I'll not bite. I promise.

Pretty soon there will be organized the lessons of Russian Language for all who has the desire to know it and also will be opened a few threads with games and discussions.

I hope together we will make our forum better!
