I hope so! I actually had access to a high-speed computer so I actually posted a lot. I don't DL and December Boys will come out at the same time....at least..I hope not. *crosses fingers*

I think DB and DL actually might be close to coming out the same time. If it does, it'll be interesting to see what movie beats out the other, but I'm tired of the Dan vs. Rupert saga. It's quite old. Though some people deserve it if Rupert were to come out on top and I do think that's possible. DL has three wonderful actors in it that people will go see. It was a Tribeca hit! It needed a fourth showing and that sold out within days, so I think when it comes to theatres it will get much of the same treatment... selling out rather quickly. And then there is word of mouth. I don't know if DB will be good, but from what I hear of DL, people really enjoyed the film.

Of course I'm thinking this discussion would be better suited in the DL thread. LOL

Rupert has more experience with movie acting. Dan has only the HP movies and DB now. Rupert has had a couple before HP. So he should come out on top.

Well we also know a lot about Rupert's character, and many people have seen the movie. We don't know as much about DB, so there isn't much to go on. I personally don't care for the DB story line, but more power to him. Back to Rupert. Well now all we are doing is anticipating the release!

Erm, not entirely true...

If I'm not mistaken, Dan had 2 films before the HP Films: Taylor of Panama and David Copperfield.

Rupert has Thunderpants and Driving Lessons of course.

Before the HP films, Rupert did only school plays, while Dan did those 2 films.

But Rupert went to "acting school" as a child (I don't know if Dan ever went to acting school).

Yes he is getting famous very fast. I'm both happy and scared, but the scared part is very selfish one. Shame on me! he he. I don't think he's famous the way Dan is in the media, but I do believe he does have more of a loyal fan following. Of'course I do believe Rupert will one day be talked about just as much or more than Dan. It is already happening anyway. He's just too talented. People are recognizing that now.

LOL Jesi. I always praise actors for taking classes, because it shows how serious they are about their craft and that you can never stop learning. I havne't seen those other movies Dan did, but even if I did I don't think it would change much of my opinion with him as an actor. Oh well. The important thing is that we are proud of Rupert, and that he is obviously advancing in his career. I'm so excited to see what will happen next with DL.

well yea,, Dan did hav Tailor of Panama andDavid Copperfield,,but they were for TV,, yup he had more experience,, and well his dad being a producer also is a plus-point.
But Rupert's first ever thing was Sorcerer's stone,he was great and since then there has been no looking backfor him,,, he's getting better and better,, and will be more famous than he'd ever thought he'd be,, thanks to lovers like us!

Just a fair warning... don't go too far into talking about Dan to where it ends up negative.

I think Rupert's done such wonderful career moves. Harry Potter got him in. Thunderpants was him just having fun. And DL? I think that was him trying to take his craft seriously, but he wanted to do the movie because he enjoyed the script. So no matter what, the movies Rupert is in will always be things HE enjoyed.

Rupert is very lucky in the fact that he can do that. That alone shows how far he, as an actor, and his career has progressed. He's only done 4 big films and he can already pick and choose what he stars in. And as he is, obviously, going to make wise choices that shows that he will un-doubtedly be around for quite a while! *cheers*
