I knew from the beginning that Harry and Ginny were going to get together eventually. I squealed when he recognized her smell from the potions class, the smells that he was attracted to.... And i was so happy whenever he felt jealous of Dean... and that constant debate with himself ("Ginny or Ron") was hilarious.
When Harry finally kissed Ginny after the quidditch match i was bursting inside, i almost started jumping up and down screaming!!! when dumbledore died, i was in shock, i just kept reading... but when Harry told Ginny that they couldn't be together anymore i started crying.. im serious... i read that part over and over again, hoping to find a hint that it wasn't completely over. and i have the feeling that by the end of the seventh book they'll be back together cuz it's so obvious that they still have feelings for each other... that is, if Harry survives.

R/H: haha that had me laughing all the time.. Whenever Hermione complimented Harry, Ron was so jealous that i just had to laugh. I was in shock when she set the canaries on him, but i almost cried when Harry heard her sob...
But it was so cute when Ron mumbled "Er-my-nee" in his sleep, and when Hermione hurtled to the Hospital Wing when she found out that Ron had been poisoned..... But the sweetest part was when Ron stroked her hair at the funeral and she cried into his shoulder...

Fleur/Bill and Tonks/Lupin.... I wasn't expecting that AT ALL!! but it was still very cute..lol

I feel the same way!! I was so surprised when they suddenly kissed! And when they broke up,i also cried, and tried to believe that it wasn't true. But that was at 3:00 in the morning after literally reading it nonstop.

As far as H/G go, I had a feeling it was coming when JKR made sure early on to coment on G's like of H. And after going through so much together since book 2 it seemed only natural that he would start to notice her once she made it clear through her actions with other boys that she was in fact an attractive girl. And especially with teenage boys, emotions and hormones bounce out of control.

plain and simple, mediocre fan-fict-ness. gosh you don't know how glad i am that i am not the only one thinking this book was LAME in the romance area. although i did find the whole tonks/remus cute (yet still VERY random).

Harry/Ginny- I must say this was very, very random. I understand that in previous books there was evidence pointing toward this ship, but it was like Woah! when he kissed her. Since when is Harry so open was his feelings and emotions? It was very out of character for him. But I'm indifferent toward this ship, so it doesn't bother me that they broke up in the end- or that they're destined to be together. Whatever.

Ron/Lavender- If anyone thinks this was a serious relationship and Ron genuinely liked her, you are quite gulible and marginally stupid. It was purely to show up Ginny by snogging like a mad man, and in the process making Hermione jealous. Which, once he realized what he was doing, kept it up because knew she had snogged Krum. Won- Won and Lav Lav's relationship was purely physical.

Ron/Hermione- In the past five books, we've had the most evidence toward this ship than any other. In book six, we had even more evidence. And nothing. I'm positive that all of this is leading up to something huge for Book 7, it has to be! Us R/Hr shippers deserve something big!! I didn't find their bickering out of place, in fact, it was quite normal- not at all exaggerated! They've been doing it for five years! In the end, when Ron stroked her hair, I was soooooo happy. I'm positive we're going to get a big payoff for Book 7!

Remus/Tonks- I sorta saw this coming. At Harry's birthday party, Mrs. Weasley looks over at Remus as if it's his fault Tonks and Bill can't get together. *pats self on back* I LOVE this ship almost as much as R/Hr. Remus deserves happiness, and Tonks compliments him very well. And people say it was random, and I think it was for them too! I agree was Jessica, it seems like maybe thy had a bit too much of butterbeer and it just happened!

Pansy/Draco- Predictable. But cute nonetheless.

Fleur/Bill- I wasn't a fan at the beginning. But she's sticking by him and that's what matters.

Overall, I was happy was the romantic. But it seemed too packed with it. Everybody was paired up, everything seemed to perfect- like an FF. But I'm guessing it's like the first time with the war. People are wanting to wait cause they never know what's going to happen tomorrow...

I always wanted something to happen between H/Hr but obviously that wasn't going to happen from start of the book. I actually started to like the idea of a R/Hr ship, but I hated how Ron went with Lavender, and how Hermione stooped to his level with McLaggen.
As for Harry and Ginny, again- wasn't a ship I liked, and his feelings definitely just appeared from no where, but I loved how he kissed her- very impulsive and romantic. I agree with a lot of you, JKR could have wrote the romance a little differently.
The one thing I really didn't want to happen was too much romance, and it was starting to feel that way when I read the book. When Harry and Ginny got together, it was closish to the end, then you find out Tonks loves Lupin, and I thought it would have spoiled it if Ron and Hermione got together then. There's no doubt they'll get together in the next book, and I'm glad JKR didn't "couple up" everyone in the sixth book..

Just thought of something. Perhaps it was after Sirius died and Tonks was afraid of dying before she told him. But I like my butterbeer theory. It did sound like they had done something... before.

I don't really like that whole 'destined' thing. I'd rather them break up and get together but not with that whole 'I've always loved you' thing.

Oh and honestly? To those shippers out there who seem to think that Harry, Ron and Hermione were under love potions the whole time, they weren't. Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione are now canon, so deal with it.

Actually, if you look at the pages dedicated to romance, they come no where near the amount of the pages with nothing on them about romance. I think JKR was setting it all straight. H/G, R/Hr, Remus/Tonks.

I've found that the more people think out it, they think it was more romance orientated. I didn't think it was that romantic until I came here. There was enough for me, but it didn't take over the story.

Someone mentioned that the romance in the book sounds like fan-fiction and that maybe it is what we wanted to hear.

Ok. Yeah, I liked the romance in the books. But I highly doubt she put it in because it is what we wanted.

Dumbledore stressssed in the book the importance of Love and even Prof. McGonagall said that Dumbledore wanted a little bit more love in the world. So all these relationships are building because it is love that will ultimately be the key to winning the war. Also strong, true love was also part of the original order. We had the Longbottoms and the Potters with Blood-tied love as well. (but then again look what happened to them..yikes)

Harry/Ginny. Noticed that when Harry discovered his feelings for Ginny there was the constant reference to the animal whithin. There was a more powerful love in this case than when Harry was after Cho. I perfer Luna for Harry, but I approve of either Ginny or Luna with either Harry or Neville.

Lupin/Tonks. This one hit me like a hardball. I was thinking more on the lines of them switching bodies and that was why the changes in attitude, appearance and patronus changed in Tonks. I never guessed it only because of the age difference. But Love knows no age and both of them deserve it.

Ron/Hermione. Ok. No. The one relashionship probably the most of us were waiting for just did not happen. Not fair. But I loved the flirting and the fighting and the making up between them. I litterally fell out of my chair when Ron gave his perfect "I love you" to Hermione. What really had me though was when he was in the hospital wing and all he could say was "Er-my-nee". The whole jealous/revenge relationships between the two were annoying. I had to reference book 3 again because I thought Trelawney had told Lavander to "beware a red-haired man" but it was said to Parvati. I would have been cute if it was. But I never cared for Lavander and them snogging was just annoying. And what is up with McGlaggen and Hermione??? what was he doing to her underneath the missletoe that her hair could actually get bushier??? Good thing she got rid of him.

Bill/Phlegm. Ok. I did see that coming. But Harry should have though that if Ron seemed OK with his brother marrying his former crush, then he would be ok with his mate hooking up with his sister. Alright, maybe not but it was worth considering. I am glad she still loves him after the mauling. More love for the order!!

i'm a R/Herm. shipper and i was happy. Ron's little fling with Lav. just prooved that ron really liked hermione and wanted to make her angry and come running to him. and, at the end, it seems to have worked........ the harry- ginny thing, well i support them too, and we now know that they really do love each other and after harry kills (hopefully) voldey-o he'll go back to ginny.(with ron's blessing of corse)

Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger: CANON! Told ya so! I will now happily hear what H/Hrs have to say on the subject. I look forward to it! Is ANYONE doubtful of Hermione's feelings for Ron NOW? I don't think quotes are necessary, are they? Because I've got some doosies! I mean, SHE SENT BIRDS AFTER HIM OUT OF JEALOUSY FOR GOODNESS SAKE! Yeah, but R/Hr is sooo one sided...puhlease! But if you have a reasonable explanation to defy the facts, please let me know.

Harry Potter and Ginivera Weasley: As Will said: It's not over.

It DID NOT, I repeat, DID NOT say ANYWHERE that either Harry or Ginny lost their attraction to each other or want to be together. If you ask me, Harry's explanation as to why they must break up was oddly similar to Peter Parker's reason for breaking up with Mary Jane in Spiderman, no?

Peter Parker gives up the woman he loves because he knows that being together with her makes her a bigger target for his enemies. Both Harry and Peter give up a relationship beyond friendship to protect their girls. However, deep down, we know that Peter Parker is in love with Mary Jane and vise versa...I think same implies with Harry and Ginny. And both Mary Jane and Ginny say that it's their decision, that they should be able to determine it, don't they?

And, growing up with Spiderman-obsessed male relatives, I can safely and confidently say that Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson live happily ever after.

As for H/G being random...no, it's not. Though their signs were subtle and few, they were still there, reguardless of obvious display. But there are some times where there are obvious foreshadowing.

Ginny's crush on Harry and then her gradual maturity into her real self foreshadowed that relationship. Hermione, WHO HELPED GINNY WITH ADVISE ON HOW TO GET HARRY TO NOTICE HER!!!, knew that by being herself and just letting low, she would be seen for the girl she really is.

In OotP, Gryffindor beat Ravenclaw to win the Quidditch Cup. We were told that Ginny snatched the Snitch right from under Cho Chang's nose. In my humble opinion, this foreshadowed Ginny snatching Harry from under everyone's nose...but also the end of Harry/Cho relationship to make room for Ginny!

Here is where Will (Lupin Jr.) and I take a deserved and undeniably shocked bow as I come to the next ship...

Nymphadora Tonks and Remus J. Lupin: I believe it was right after the release of OotP that both Will and I openly shared our views that this was a potential ship. People rolled eyes because, yes, it was really random and unexpected, showing very little canon. Others laughed good naturedly and nodded jokingly..."Oh, yeah, sure! I could totally see that! Lol. jk." But the thing was that I, and I don't believe Will, was joking about the matter. I somehow feel that T/L ship belongs to Will and I.

As for Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour, DUH! I think we all knew this would happen. I knew they'd end up married. And Ginny/Mrs. Weasley/Hermione's reactions were so perfect...just like I imagined! Lol.

I still hold hopes for the Lost Ship Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood just because. Don't laugh. If people can still ship H/Hr after HBP, I can ship L/N...they've got the same canon...you do the math. Lol.

Now...this is where I feel oddly clairvoyant. I read the whole of HBP, and all through the book, though I was mostly surprised, I found that a lot that happened, I had a theory would happen. It was really freaky! I kind of scared myself...L/T was one of them!

But you see, I, like many others here, write fanfiction. My latest fic is coming to an end, but I used all of my theories and ideas about what would happen in the books in my fic. It is almost uncanny how some of my theories ended up happening.

I hope that my readers of UDDUP will vouch for me that all of this was indeed in my fic...

1.) R/Hr. No self-respecting R/Hr shipper would write a fic without them, right? I think we all knew this would happen, so not a big stretch. Yes, they haven't officially happened yet, but is there any real doubt they won't end up together?

2.) H/G. I admit, I did not think that they'd get together in HBP, but I do not think they are over, and I knew they would happen eventually. But the fact remains that even if for a short while, H/G did happen, something I knew. *GLOMPS WILL!* IT HAPPENED!!!

3.) L/T. This was just freaky, but I wove L/T into my theories as well as my fic. *GLOMPS WILL* You're the best, you know that?

4.) Ron Weasley and Lavender Brown: This was in my fanfiction as well. (Don't take my word for it.) Deep down in my gut, I knew that Lavender would take a notice to Ron. She did. The first time she gave Ron a second look in HBP, I had a strange feeling I'd be right. I also knew that Ron would kind of use Lavender to make Hermione jealous...that worked like a charm!

5.) B/F. I've hinted at it in my fic, but I won't say anymore than this..though we could all figure that out!

Those are all of my theories on just the ships. I have others that turned out to be true like I knew something would happen to Bill ( I was a bit off) and I knew the HBP would be the new DADA teacher. *told you Ottery*, but I did not see Snape, who I knew would show his true colors for the other side, would be the DADA teacher...but that's for another forum, I guess.

Anyhoo...

H/Hr is not even worth mentioning, I don't think.

H/L: interestingly enough, I was almost rooting for her...she's so cute! But NO. H/L won't happen. I can get the exact quote, but he was hoping she'd say no to his invitation to the Slug Party thing.

R/L: Still NO, but it was cute that Ron said she had grown on him. Plus, Luna did acknowledge that Ron could be very rude and hurtful sometimes when she revealed that Hermione was crying over Ron. *grins*

Now, onto the HP character shippers:

Harry on the Ron and Hermione ship: I'll get the quote if you want it, but notice that he doesn't know what to think. This is not a yes nor is it a no, and it certainly has nothing to do with his undying love for Hermione.

I've talked with a few of my friends who are H/Hr shippers and lets just say they aren't giving up. My friends theory: Ron adn Hermione's relationship is not strong enough to last and that they will break up eventually causing hermione to notice harry is the one for her and harry who was really under a love spell or potion will realize he never loved Ginny and he will realize hermione is the one for him. Thats my friends thories. I on the other hand am a R/Hr shipper and I think it would be a pity for JK to have built up the r/hr relationship so much and then have it come crashing down. Sorry I've spent way to much time around my non-r/hr shipper friends and I've started to feel pesimistic even in the aftermath of HBP. Well I will celebrate for now and hope it lasts.

No, I've come to accept that harry will be alone. The rift between him and everyone else has grown, and it can only become moreso. Also, so long as there is danger, Harry won't allow himself to love anyone.

Wow, you really don't like Harry/Ginny being together, do you? LupinJr. makes one of the most logical points about what Harry said to Ginny at the end of the book--he will see Ginny when Voldemort is defeated, that is, unless Harry doesn't survive. But in the end, if he is alive, he and Ginny will reunite and love, which is the great advantage Harry has over Voldemort--the ability to love. As he goes through his journey to destroy Voldemort, it is quite possible that his undying love for Ginny in his mind and the thought that he will one day see her again might play a key role in defeating Voldemort.....

Hermione Granger/ Ron Weasley: The long awaited romance is finally blooming, eh? Well, let's wait and see.. They seem perfect for each other now that they've gotten over a few things. But something will happen, as we probably all know..

Ginny Weasley/ Harry Potter: I don't love them being together, but I certainly don't mind. Not that they are together anymore anyway. I think Harry made the right choice breaking up with Ginny to keep her away from harm. He likes her a lot.. I'm happy for them, lol

Lavender Brown/ Ron Weasley: Thank goodness this is over. Whew!

Fleur Delacour/ Bill Weasley: They seem happy. The Weasley Family will just have to get used to Fleur. But at least we know she really loves him because otherwise she definitely wouldn't have agreed to marry him still after the werewolf attack thing..

Nymphadora Tonks/Remus Lupin: Well, predicted. I enjoy having them together. I don't like seeing either of them unhappy. Lupin has gone through tough times with his friends being murdered and being a werewolf. He deserves someone who truly loves him, Tonks. Perfect, no complaints.

Luna Lovegood/ Neville Longbottom: I think this was also forseen. I cannot say that I am pleased, but they might be good for each other! lol

Another thing. I really wished that Ron and Lavender broke up sooner. Then R/Hr would go to the Slug Club party together. And there could "just happen" to be a mistletoe, and Ron or Hermione would "just happen" stand under one while the other "just happens" to come along... Yeah. A lot of R/Hr could have squeezed in if Ron and Lavender broke up sooner. But Ron decides to do it when the book is nearly over. At least we got that part at the end where Hermione is crying on Ron's shoulder. Anyway, I'm looking forward to see the R/Hr fan sites posting their evidence from HBP soon. Ok Well first of all I have to say that I absolutly LOVED all of the romance in HPB. Secondly, I don't think it is like a bad fanfic! Geesh! JK has to write some kind of romance in HBP and whatever she wrote people would probably say it was like a fanfic but I never read a fanfic which all of this stuff happened!

Now for the part where I talk about the romance!

Ron/Lavendar- OMGSH! Shannon! That was in your fanfic! I was freaking out when I read that I was thinking Is Shannon a physic or something? Even though it wasn't exactly what happened in HBP It still freaked me out! Anyhoo I was very angry when Ron and Lavendar hooked up when they started snogging in the common room! Because I love Ron! And he's mine! And I will only let Hermoine have him! (which she will have him!)

Harry/Ginny- Wow. Ok well I have to admit that I am not exactly the world's most biggest H/G shipper or whatver. But it surprised me sooooooo much when Harry kissed Ginny that I had to read it over like 5 times before it actually sunk into my head! It was adorable nonetheless. I loved how Harry was looking at everyone's reactions! But I think that the kiss really celebrated the Gryffindor win! (I was thinking that they were going to lose but I was SOOOOO happy when they won!) And I also love how Hermoine actually gave Ginny advice just to be herself even though I did love the Ginny who could barely talk to Harry.

Dean/Ginny- I didn't really like this hookup of course. And when Ron and Harry found then snogging in the secret passage I was shocked! I was thinking How could Ginny do this???????? It was the first big romance thing in HBP and it was a total shocker to me!

Harry/Luna- oK guys don't kill me when I say this but I really would love Luna and Harry hook up even though I know it isn't going to happen so don't lecture me! But you got to admit they had a chance because in OOTP Luna was the only person Harry could talk to and I thought it was adorable how that worked even though I realized in HBP that it is never going to happen. Although I love how Harry asked her to the party. And she was soo excited because she never gets invited to things like that. Poor Luna.

Ron/Luna- I just had to put that I loved the way that he said that she's growing on him because I love Luna!

Bill/Fluer- Pretty Predictable. Of course we all probably knew that was coming. Even though I did like the idea with Bill and Tonks. Then I was thinking well then maybe Charlie and Tonks. But oh well that brings me to the next couple.

Tonks/Lupin-Again Shannon! This was also in your fanfic althoguh in a completely different way! Wow. You are physic man! Ok anyways when Tonks said...wait I'll find the whole thing in the book.

Ha Hermione and Harry shippers! We were right and you were wrong! Muah ha ha! I have to admit (sorry fellow R/HR shippers) that I was getting a little worried because H/Hr shippers were talking about how Hermione doesn't actually like Ron, but as you can see with Herimione crying and her birds attacking Ron () that she does like Ron! YES! I loved how when Ron and Lavendar were snogging in the common room how Hermione went out of the room and Harry followed her into the desereted classroom. And then Ron and Lavendar walked in! AH! I thought it was going to be a teacher or like Luna or Ginny but not Ron and Lavendar!! AHH! And then I thought Hermione was just going to walk right out without doing anything but then the birds! And then Harry heard a sob! AAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! Poor Hermione! I felt soo bad for her! And then Hermoine and Ron didn't talk for weeks! I thought they were doomed! BUT Ron got poisoned(which scared me to death! Thank God he is still ok.) and he whispered "Er-my-nee" in his hospital bed!!!!! AWWWWWW! I was liek dancing all around my room and I was soo happy! I also loved how whenever any girls came Ron his behind her and I don't think Hermione's big enough to hide him! LOL. OMGSH! I was going crazy and dancing around my room and everything! AWWWWWW! SOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!! I think Ron has grown an emotional side to him! Ever since Ginny yelled at him. Because she was stroking her hair! AWWWWW!!!! I can't get enough of this stuff! If I find that I forgot anyhting I will come back and post more!But right now I think my post will cover this whole page so I should end it right here! Oh but like I said I love Ron and the only person I will let him be with his Hermione!

No... I don't. I don't think I would have minded as much, though, if reading Harry's sudden feelings for Ginny weren't akin to reading BAD FANFICTION. Harry's feelings were random and a bit too sudden. He's had many years to develope feelings for the youngest Weasley, and all of a sudden he wants to snog her. It didn't feel believable to me.

(By the way, my little sister is a Harry/Ginny fan, and even she didn't like the way Harry ended up with Ginny. For an hour she was convinced that JKRowling stole her notebook of fanfiction and copied it into the HBP transcript by mistake.)

LupinJr. makes one of the most logical points about what Harry said to Ginny at the end of the book--he will see Ginny when Voldemort is defeated, that is, unless Harry doesn't survive.

If Harry survives he battle with the Dark Lord, you really think he will put everythign behind him and marry Ginny the next day?
