Romance in the Half-Blood Prince

Ron/Hermione-w00teh! I nearly cried when ron went "I love you Hermione", It is sad I know but OMG YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!! They were totally cute throughout the whole thing as per usual, makeing each other jealous, arguing, sutle hints at each other *sighs* I have always been totally for this ship so it is like just pure bliss. I could seriously go on forever about it...eeeeeee *does a dance*
btw-how can people say it was out of the blue?! There was many shippers from book PS.

Harry/Hermione- What can I say? ....There was none, *cries from happiness* I always envisioned me so rubbing it in when r/hr got together, but I'm not going to be that mean Overall I think there platonic relationship went quite well, you can tell they love each other just not romantically. It was nice to see. Just something else, if Harry ever did like Hermione romanticaly then wouldn't we ba able to see his thoughts about it like with Ginny since it is from his pov?

Harry/Ginny- Sweet <3 I think that Harry did make the right final decision, but I dont know if it will last, did'nt Dumbledore say that he was able to love and thats what made him better than voldemort? Not just love for Ginny of course. JK did the whole best friends sister angle wonderfully, the thoughts in his head and Ron approving.

Tonks/Lupin- Totally random but a nice touch to the sad ending.

Bill/Fleur- I loved how she said that it doesn't matter what he looks like. That gave me respect for her. Looking forward to the wedding

I HATED this book. Not just for the romance issues but they were more then a little annoying.

Am I the only one who thinks Hermione deserves better then a self-centered PRAT like Ron? I'm sorry but Hermione is suppose to be smart. Why the heck did she sit there and wait for him to wake up and smell the coffee? She walked around in a snit because he was dating Lavander for how many months? Do these seem like the actions of a INTELLIGENT person?

Do not even get me started on the whole OMG must snog Ginny thing with Harry. That was just random. It was like all those bad fan-fic's out there where they throw H/G together to justify R/Hr.

Why did she bother creating Luna and building her up in the 5th book? What was the point?

OMG, the romance in HBP was THE BEST THING EVER!

Seriously, I couldn't have wished for more. Apart from Harry/Ginny break up at the end...

I just re-read their 'break up' and it is very obvious that both have strong feelings for each other. Harry knew he had to leave or otherwise he would never be able to say goodbye to her. It was less of a 'break up' and more of a 'I'll see you when Voldemorts dead' kind of thing.

No, I've come to accept that harry will be alone. The rift between him and everyone else has grown, and it can only become moreso. Also, so long as there is danger, Harry won't allow himself to love anyone.

There was A TON of romance in that book. Now wether you like romance or not makes a large difference in wether you liked the book. It really seemed like any relationship that you could think of happened. Within reason of course. As someone said before some of the romantic parts felt like fangirl fanfiction.

I liked the Harry/Ginny! Cute-ness! I was very happy! (obviously) I was a bit dissapointed when Harry said that they couldn't see each other anymore. But he's right. If Voldemort were to find out the results would be disastrous.

Ron/Hermione-ness!! Woot! I LOVED the little hints. Like Ron saying her name in is sleep. And all those things. teehee! I liked the litte bit between them during Dumbledore's funeral. I HATED the Ron/Lavender! That was SO NOT Ron!

Draco/Pansy...Mst of the time, I like being right! This was one of those times when I didn't. I knew it was comming, but I wasn't neccesarly (sp?) ready for it. Totaly caught me off gaurd! I was a little disturbed...

As much as I LOVE my Moony, I have always been a Remus/Tonks fan. I thought that was great!!! I was happy for Moony, now that all his friends are gone he needs somebody there for him, and now he has Tonks!! Yay Tonks and Remus!! There were hints in OotP and in HBP, you just had to look REALLY hard!!

Now, Bill/Fleur. I liked it, but I find Fleur a LITTLE annoying! Just a little!

As for the STRANGE rumor about Filch/Pince, I don't wanna go there!!

And Hagrid/Madame Maxime *victory dance* Yay!!!

I also found Harry's fangirls a LITTLE annoying too! *rolls eyes*

Ok, I'm done ranting about the relationships. I'm gonna go find some Remus/Tonks hints in OotP...

OMG, the shipping wars are over! No more debates! I wouldn't be surprised if fanfiction becomes highly unpopular now...

Don't be so sure. I know a LOT of people who don't go along with Jo's ships. Many people will still write fanfics with the characters that they want, because they are stubborn.
I know I still like my two made up characters and their boyfirends: Remus/Gewn and Harry/Wren. I'm not gonna give up my fanfics. But I will be writing some Remus/Tonks stuff now, hopefully I won't get too many people saying "Eww! That's gross! Remus is so much older than her!" or the all time favourite: "You are SO screwed up! That's just so RAMDOM! And WRONG!"

Hopefully for us fanfic writers, people will start to get used to the new ships.

I was so happy for Lupin that I leapt off my bed, danced around my room and started crying. I've never shipped any characters because I could care less about the romantic aspect, but I'm just happy to see that someone loves him. YES! Ahhh... I'm ecstatic about this. He deserves this happiness more than any other characters in this book... I could not be more thrilled.

It's weird because even though I'm not into shipping at all, I called every romance in this book. I wasn't shocked by any of them. **** fanfictions. lol.

Yay, everything turned out the way I wanted it too! Harry/Ginny are perfect for eachother, lets just hope that they'll be able to get together again once the whole thing is over!

Ron/Hermione was just bound to happen, and they are so cute together! Always arguing and such, but still caring about eachtother deeply. Yay!

I don't know, I'm not going to give up on fanfiction. I don't write fics but as long as people do write I will be reading fanfiction. Plus i agree with gryffindorangel, a lot of people are going to write fics with the ships they want or with made-up characters.

Now on to the romance in the book. I was pretty happy about the romance in the book, all except for harry/ginny. Reading that was torture, one of the only ships I really didn't want to happen. Other then that, the romance in the book was fine. I
am very happy about tonks/remus, that part was great. Remus really deserves someone, I mean he lost all of his friends but now he has tonks. yay!!!

I have been to some shipping sites and the wars are far from over. HBP just added more wood to the fire.

It's a little strange, but all the ships in the book were ones that I suported. My friends were all freaking out about certain ships. And I just went "I told you so!" I was right about Snape too. But no one listens to me! grr...

Thats what I said...I mean Ron and Lavander, Tonks and Lupin????? But I loved the Harry and Ginny. They were ment to be together. And Harry really cares about her, thats why they broke up. But they'll get back together. I kno they will. I loved it how Ginny said "I never gave up on you. Not really." I love that quote! So harry and ginny are going to get back together. They can't stay apart. They like each other to much.

I want to kill JKR for making us wait one more book for Ron and Hermione!!!! They were soooo close!!! They almost got together, but them Ginny had to tell Ron that Hermione made out with Krum...But they ending on a very hopeful note! Ron and Hermione will end up together in the next book. I just kno it.

i do not support harry and ginny in any way, i was not happy at all that they got together, but i was rather pleased when he broke up with her

i am all for ron and hermione, i think that was a good choice that JKR did there

lavender brown, i think that ron didnt really have any feelings, just a way to get back to hermione, just like what hermione did as well

i also fully support tonks and lupin, b/c lupin has gone through a lot, he has dealt with many deaths of people he loves, and all i want for him is for him to find some happiness

I love JKR!!! Yay Ron and Hermione finally cofessed their feelings to each other! Man I loved it when Ron said I love you Hermione in page 449 in chapter 21! I never imagined Tonks and Remus but that was kinda amusing! I love the Ginny and Harry ship! They are soo perfect together they kinda look like Lily and James if you think about it. Too bad Harry had to break up with her but it was for a Ginny's safety. I love this book!

I agree with you. People with stick with their ships. I will continue reading and thinking up fanfiction even if it contradicts romances in HBP.

I agree. I think that that relationship was purely physical. I thought that in the beginning Ron was getting revenge on Ginny and their fight how Ron doesn't have a girlfriend, etc. In the end though, it switched to getting revenge on Hermione. It was quite amusing.

First of all, Harry suggesting Tonks was in love with Sirius was gross, I mean hello, they are second cousins. As far as why she was so uspet whenever someone mentioned Sirius, Harry should pay more attention because one he was her cousin and second, in the beginning, Ginny said that Tonks blamed herself for Sirius' death.

I was happy that Tonks/Remus got together. I just knew it would happen. I'm a big Remus/Tonks shipper.

Madam Pince and Filch? I mean who saw that?

Draco and Pansy we all saw coming since PoA.

Harry and Ginny. Finally Harry? Stupid dolt, what took him so long. When he kissed her, in front of everyone, I started bouncing around in my seat.As far as him breaking up with her, figures Harry would do something like that to protect her. I just hope they end up together in the end. I love them together.

Bill and Fleur was odd. She is so annoying, But like Mrs. Weasley said, he's just afraid he'll die before he gets married. But, I can see that she actually loves him, so I can I'll have to deal with it.

Ron/ Hermoine- ok i have seen their relationship build but i thought that it was going to really explode in this book. we saw Hermoines side of things and you could totally tell that she was jealous. I think that Rons thing with Lavender was just him wanted to fit in and get experience but he clearly didnt like her.
Harry/ Ginny- I always encouraged it in fics becuase like well i was totally against H/Hr..and i still am. I think that it was cute but his feelings for her were never THIS big before. i was kind of like..wow... he was doing the conga! remmeber? that was funny. I know that he did like her but he wants to keep her safe. i mean if he kills dumb ole' voldy then they will be together.
Pansy/ Draco- They were put together from their parents since birth right? so it was bound to catch up with them. but i dont like either of them soo...blah on them. hehe
Tonks/ Remus- awww that is cute. i was happy that they have feeling for one another. She couldnt have loved Sirius.. well she could have but it would have been wierd considering they are cousins

There was a lot of romance in this book. Which meant a lot of people were turning shades of pink. A lot of the couples were just like "where did that come from?". However JKR finally included some major R/Hr moments, other than hints that they like eachother from their facial expressions. But now they actually do something about it.

My words exactly. I got so into the R/ Hr moments that I wanted more of that than the actual plot. I liked the "I love you, Hermione" (though it didn't seem like he really truelly meant it with all of his heart because he was tired when he said it. Seems more like a "you're the best" too me. Or maybe he did mean it? I dunno.) I also liked when Hermione said she was going to ask Ron to the Slug Club thing, and after Ron and Lavender broke she kept smiling "and when asked she said "It's a nice day."
As for Harry and Ginny, it's better than H/Hr but it was sort of out of no where. All of a sudden Harry likes Ginny and it's just... weird. And the part at the end where Harry talks about them not seeing eachother anymore because he's afraid Ginny might get hurt, that sounds like it's directly from the recent Spider-Man movies.
Lupin and Tonks. Who would have guessed. Ok well I bet some one would. But correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think this was hinted in the previous books. Can't say I'm disapointed though.

After this, I think that H/Hr fans will have a harder time thinking that Harry and Hermione will end up together in future books.
