Romance in Book 7

This is the only thread in which romance in the upcoming 7th book may be discussed. Please stick on topic, not diverting to other shows/movies/songs/books (that are not the official Harry Potter Series) at all. Also, please respect other members opinions, whether you agree with them or not. Any vindictiveness in this thread will be severely dealt with, so just don't do it.

This thread may contain any desired ship, however some restrictions apply. There should be absolutely no sexual or slash comments, remembering that this is a site accommodating to all ages. This thread is very closely monitored to ensure that the rules aren't breached and to protect all members including you.

Now, in addition to this, there is now a new rule pertaining to this thread and all other Flourish and Blotts threads, so listen carefully...

If you are found to be breaking the rules in any way you will receive an instant warning.

If the behaviour continues, you will be banned from the forum. No questions, just a ban. Most likely temporary at first (lasting from a few days to a few weeks depending on the incident). However, if it is severe enough the ban could be permanent or could include the whole site.

Seriously guys, the rules are no laughing matter and are in place to protect you, and everyone who uses the forums. I hate getting cranky like this but we just can't allow things against the rules to happen, it just wouldn't be fair to the members who are here for the good fun and entertainment that this site provides.

But mostly, just have fun coming up with interesting ships and theories behind them. Do you support Harry/Ginny? What about Ron/Hermione? Or maybe Harry/Hermione? Do you have one that maybe hasn't been thought of before? Maybe some of the teachers are married and we don't know about it yet... Come on and let us know!!

anyways, Ron and Hermione of course. It has to happen.
Ginny and Harry? I think Harry wont end up with anyone but still I want to see him happy and Ginny will surely make him.
Neville and Luna. Weird couple if you ask me but they're alright. Neville needes someone who'll get him out of his shell and Luna can do that.
Tonks and Lupin. I want to see the changes Lupin will undergo for having a lady beside him...

Thank you Dainsie, we will try to stick to the rules this time. I don't think it will be that much of a problem anymore, we now live in a world where the shipping-war is not such a prominant thing. I suppose some see it as a relief, although if their are any H/Hr's out there who would like to come in with some evidence to discuss we all promise to be quiet and listen.
Now, seeing as the events of HBP are now in the past we can start looking to the future of the shipping world. I think I shuold start with the main character, Harry. There is little need to extend much on his love life, HBP seem to show that his interests lay in Ron's 'not-so-little-now' sister Ginny. Do I think that because they broke up it is sunk? I highly doubt it, comparing it directly to the break up with Cho, which was a screaming match, this one ended on a much sweeter note. They looked at each other, without words they understood, he broke it to her, she tried to fight him, he made it clear he felt too much for her to get hurt, she confessed her crush, she then confessed her current feelings and he accepted that even being around her was too much. And he walked away. A very telling line, that one. "He knew his resolution wouldn't hold", how exactly is he planning on going to the wedding? I don't think they will reunite then, but I think he will have to acknowledge that his feelings are far from over. The important thing is he broke up with her not because he didn't like her, but because he liked her too much. So, has Harry/Ginny sunk? Far from it. Will Harry's eye wander on his trip? He didn't give up his 'greatest source of comfort' for another pretty hexer to come along.
Next up, the only ship that has managed to keep on sailing, regardless of the fact that it has a million anvils onboard. I am talking about Ron and his growing affection for one, Hermione. There is no more need for me to point out the obvious, the subtle and the rest of the hints then there is for me to do the same with H/G. We saw it coming from as early as the first book. JK stated 'We now know it's Ron and Hermione'. And at the funeral they crossed the line and finally held each other, comforted each other, gave each other the support they wanted to give for so many years. Ron/Hermione? Is it going to sail? Oh please, rampaging Hippogriffs couldn't stop it.
Then the other ships, in HBP we saw the introduction of Tonk's romantic interest in Mr too old, too dangerous, too poor, Lupin. No doubt come the end of book seven there will be plenty of multi coloured werewolf babies running around. We also heard about Phlegm... sorry, Fluer and Bill's upcoming nuptials, not even a death eater attack will stop them. While JK shot it down for HBP, Neville and Luna showed a bond towards the end, perhapes come book seven he will finally get use to her wild flights of fancy. He didn't seem to mine her helping him when he was having trouble at the funeral. Oh please! Don't act like you didn't notice it! If not, then I hope they are happy. There was the newly unpredicatble formed love triangle between Draco, his pug-faced Slytherin gal-pal Pansy and the ghost with the most Myrtel. Will Draco be killed and choose to live out his days snogging in the S-bend? I sure hope so. And what about Filch and Pince? As if the most sour duo in Hogwarts have kept their budding romance hidden, even Harry saw it. But most of all, the ship I am most interested in, is Ron and Giant Squid. If our favorite muggle-born doesn't make it to the other side of book seven, I think it is safe to assume he will find comfort in those tenticles... oh come on! The symbolic clues are there if you look for them!

i don't think Bill and Fleur's wedding will go ahead..just because there's so much too find out in the next book i can't see JKR wasting time on a wedding...

Ron/ Hermione romance will contunie. They will be together with Harry as they won't let him go alone. I think that the main romance in book 7 will be R/Hr. We won't see H/G. Harry will be busy and won't give Ginny the chance to go with him so he must step aside from her until he can manage to kill Voldemort and this won't happen until the end of the book ( I think that in all his journeys to find and destroy the Horocrux, he will think in Ginny some times. He will miss her so much because Harry can love powerfully ) But Rowling said that we will see how Ginny is powerful in book 7, I think she will help Harry by the power of her love. They both love each other. I hope to see a happy ending in this book. We saw the sad end in book 6 so Jo should give us a break Bill and Fleur will marry. Tonks and Lupin will fight together and I believe one of them will die ( The little voice in my head says so ). I don't see any of N/L romance in book 7. They are only friends as I think.

shell do the weding just not go crazy aboout it,just mention it, im most interested in r/hr if it dont happen j.k.'s gona have some mad fans... and tonks/lupin awesome he deserves some love, as for harry, well.... i dont think so, nothing until AFTER heskilled voldie... either way i hope its like a huge gimungo book

i think someone out of the relationships will die..they can't all live happy ever after...for me the likely people are Hermione or Tonks....i think Ginny is safe though

I think she will put in the wedding, but it will be at the very start, and only cover a few pages, maybe a chapter, though, if it is a chapter, the wedding wont be the main focus, something will happen there. I think H/G will have a moment at the wedding, a moment, no more. As for R/Hr, just give it one life threatening moment, just one, while they are on the hunt for the horcruxes, and it will all come out. Long live Lupin and Tonks - he deserves some love.

I think there needs to be a wedding at the beginning. I mean there should be some scene of some sort that's not full of stress and chaos. It needs to relieve some tension many of us have already from the six book. There needs to be some hope. And I think Hope is going to be a main theme throughout the book.

I think there should be a wedding at the beginning, all that chaos and whatnot in the middle, and in the end is a 'second wedding' of like Tonks and Lupin (if one of them doesn't die) and who should happen to catch the bouquet other that Hermione *wink wink nudge nudge*? I think there's going to be a lot of love throughout book 7 little tidbits here and there.

I also think 'new life' should be introduced in book 7. Like one of the characters needs to have a baby, that's born into a world without Lord Voldemort and is finally at peace in the wizarding world. I think a baby at the end would be a great ending, it's the perfect way to show hope. And if I had to choose I would want Tonks to have a baby!

i think JKR will leave some of the relationships open at the end of book 7..i think she might let us make up our own futures for us...but i also think the will tie up some that have benn going on forever (Ron & Hermione Yawn)!!!!

I don't know i think book 6 was all about the relationship building and developing between the characters, but i can't see them going any further...so i think book 7 will be more action packed..... i mean it is the final book after all and there is so much to do in the next book that i can't see there being many sub plots like in books 4, 5 & 6...i think and hope that JKR will leave the relationships open so we can make up our own endings after Voldermort is defeated!!!!!

I hope JK does more on Tonks and Remus. Ron and Hermione too. we've been waiting for them to get together since forever. Harry should be happy too but wait til volde's dead so they cant be used against him

Well I think the wedding will go gon but maybe somathing strange i gonna happen..

Anyways Ron and Hermione are gonna be together, I mean it has to! I really Want Harry to be with Luna, but I guess Luna and Nevill might happen... Harry/Ginny and Tonks/Lupin.

I agree with you completely. I just hope it's not a doomed romance! I would love it if it was a "love-conquers-all" situation! (Yes... I really am a romantic at heart! *sigh*)

Erm, because there's only 12 months to go, they aren't even together and haven't even kissed, and it takes 9 months for a baby to gestate... I just don't think that would happen...

Because that would be so wrong, they are kids books after all and and that isn't showing a very good example because she's only 17, i think a few parents would complain about it if that happened.
