It snowed here today! I was so excited...I took heaps of photos out of the window of the flat, and walking to work I couldn't resist crunching it with my shoes...LOL. If there's been more snow, I would've played in it a bit, but I'll leave that for another day, when I don't have to go to work. There wasn't much snow, but it was enough for me! It was so weird seeing cars driving around with snow about 3 inches thick on their rooves...LOL

You do ballet too! My goodness! Thats awesome! i had ballet class last night. It went pretty well. We are just learning how to do this certain turn, I forget the name (the break down is: you step in second position and then with the opposite foot your start with you start the turn with...terrible discription. I'll ask my teacher next week), and how to spike. I'm getting better. First I was terrible. But by the end I could do it pretty well. Now my turn out...EKK. It stinks! lol. But my point is pretty good. I just love it though. Its so relaxing and soothing. The movements are so graceful and beautiful. I wish I could do pointe, but I doubt I'll ever be able too. But here's hoping! lol What is it like to be on your toes like that? Is it easy or balance or do you really have to concentrate? I hope you're able to dance soon! *huggles* I know how you feel though, band isn't going on right now and I miss it like crazy. Summer seems so far away right now...

Sorry about yesterday loverlies. I was typing it out and then it was dinner time and afterward my Dad snuck on and had the computer all night because he was doing taxes . But I'm posting tonight! And...I got to write during history today.

I think the term you're looking for is pirhouette. I'm not sure if that's how you spell it, I'm not too good with the french ballet terms...lol. The spelling anyway. I'd rather just do them... I love pirhouettes. I randomly do one here and there when I'm bored, or just feel the urge to dance. Which is quite often, but currently I get it when I'm walking from the flat into town, so I control myself...I would so love to just start dancing down the streets of England! I blame it on my phone's mp3 player and my handsfree headphones...*giggles* They come in handy on long walks.

I love to do ballet when I'm stressed or tightly strung. Even just doing plies (darn french words...that is spelt right, I just don't have the little whatchamacallit thing over the e), or a pirhouette here and there. I find the urges appear more often when I'm in the kitchen or the living room. I do little dance steps between benches and appliances while cooking...LOL
I'm sure you'll get to pointe one day. If you want to do, you'll do it. You just have to keep trying. It is a lot more difficult than it appears to be. There's quite a few months of small exercises before you can actually start to do anything that's remotely considered dancing. There are a lot of ankle strengthening exercises to do. You have to have strong ankles to be able to keep yourself up. And you do have to concentrate on what you're doing, like any kind of dancing, but once you've got the hang of it, it comes a little more naturally. It also does hurt quite a bit at first until you become used to it and break your shoes in. It's all just a matter of practice, really. But it's so wonderful once you're up there and actually dancing. I performed my first concert performance on pointe the year before last, and it was amazing! I felt like a real ballerina...LOL.
I'm sure Summer will come faster than you think. What instrument do you play in the band?

I love going to ballet class because it is so relaxing. It's a nice down time during the week. lol, to tell you the truth I sometimes dance around too...but thats also because it cracks my mum up too. lol. I'm sure it is very difficult. But also so much fun. Oh! What was the performance? I bet you did wonderfully It's so exciting to perform.
I play the Alto Saxophone I get to play in the symphonic band during the fall and winter, but I miss all the people I see during marching band in the summer. And the exercize that we have to do is very tough at times but it's fun and exhillerating to do. And the compeitions we go to with the football field lights on and so many people there to see us, it's amazing. There is no feeling like it when the crowd cheers and dances as you perform. You can't help but smile and laugh, you know?

Aww. It has been snowing here since last night. It has snowed so much that they canceled school for me agian today. But I'm kind of sad they did because they will probably take away our Easter/Spring vacation and we will only have one day and a weekend. . Oh well. The snow looks so beautiful its hard to stay grumpy.

Around one o’clock Mrs. Petroff brought out cold sandwiches and a hot sweet drink Hermione could not name. They ate quickly and began to shovel again. Though it seemed like the sandwich and drink revived them because they were much more energized and shoveling seemed less tedious.

“Oh, I adore that smell! Ania lifted her head and breathed in deep. “Doesn’t it just smell so good?”

Hermione sniffed the air, “That fire smell you mean?”

“Yeah,” She sighed.

“It is rather nice. It smells…warm.” Hermione said.

“Smells warm?” Ania replied laughing. “I’d choose the description smoky.”

“Smoky…warm…same thing,” Hermione said with a jovial roll of the eyes.

“I just hope that smells means that there will be a fire and a hot meal inside when we are done!” Ania added hopefully.

“Oh, now that would be wonderful! First taking a hot shower and putting on some warm…” she glanced down at her clothing. “And dry clothes!”

They both laughed lightly and began shoveling once more.

“Hey, do you here that?” Hermione asked a few minutes later.

Boom…dadadaboom…dadaboom…boom

“Yeah I do…wonder what it is.”

daaaaaaadadaBOOM

“Almost sounds like,” she thought for a moment. “A bass,”

“It must be Lev!” Ania gripped her shovel tightly in excitement. “I hope it is him. He has been gone for so many days.”

BOOM…BOOM..tadaddaaaaachchADADA

The sounds of the bass grew as the moment passed. Soon a shiny black 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V Convertible http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...%3Den%26sa%3DG(Hermione shook her head…she had been friends with Ron and Harry too long…how on earth did she know that’s what kind of car it was?) , the top up of course, could be seen driving down the snow covered road. It smoothly stopped in front of the little entrance gate. A car door swung open and a boy emerged.

“Lev!” Ania yelled.

The boy’s head, which had been staring at the ground, yanked up. He flashed Ania a small smirk. He had dark brown hair hat was just long enough that his bangs (fringe) laid casually across his forehead…not as long as Ron’s nor as short as Todd’s. He had long lean legs that walked leisurely towards the gate. He had prominent check bones that could be seen just below his sunglasses, they were reddened slightly from the harsh wind. He was wearing a pair of worn jeans that fit him snuggly and a black leather jacket. “Why the hell, would you wear a leather jacket in the winter?” Hermione wondered, her eyebrows rising as she questioned his sanity.

Lev didn’t even bother to open the gate, but instead, swung each leg over with ease. Ania placed her hand no her hip as he approached “Now where have you been?”

“No where.”

“What have you been up to?”

“Nothing,” He’s gaze focused on Hermione…well at least she thought it did. She couldn’t see his eyes behind those blasted sunglasses. Who wore sunglasses when it was so cloudy it looked like the evening in the middle of the day?

“Well then why have you been gone so long? Mother and Father have been in a fit since you didn’t come home the night before last. And they’ve been blaming and yelling at me for your absence!” She shook a pointed finger at him.

“Just been busy, little sister.” He replied simply, his head still turned towards Hermione in curiosity. Slowly his gaze traveled back to Ania. “Well, bye.” Lev continued his journey to the door.

Ania grunted in frustration, “Well that’s my brother for you!”

“Not very verbose,”

Ania laughed, “Not now anyway. He’s probably hungry or something.” She paused. “Or shy.”

“Shy?!” Hermione laughed.

“Yeah, he can be shy sometimes.”

Hermione just couldn’t imagine someone like Lev being shy. With his naive and teenage may care attitude, his first impression was that of him thinking he owned the world and was good-looking enough to do so…Hermione shook her head as someone just like him popped into her mind. Draco Malfoy strolled through her thoughts with all the grace he knew he possessed, her face scrunched in remembrance. No matter how many people stand up for him and no matter how many “good deeds” he does, Hermione just couldn’t forget what Malfoy did three years ago. My God, has it really been three years since Dumbledore’s death? Her stomach flip-flopped with regret and nausea.

“Are you alright?” Ania asked as she shoveled.

“Yes, I’m okay.” Hermione began to shovel.

The two girls gradually made their way down the pathway. The little light the dim sun had provided began to fade and the snow falling around them thickened.

“See what I mean, now? About the snow bring ridiculous?” Ania had to shout over the love howl of the wind.

“Yeah. But at least we shoveled away some of the snow. Just think how much more snow there would have been if we didn’t.”

“So, are you enjoying yourself freezing your butt off?”

“Oh yeah,” Hermione bent her head to the wind. “We’re almost done.”

“Yeah,” Ania sighed. “Then a hot shower and a warm supper.”

“Mmm, sounds wonderful.” Hermione gushed.

They reached the entrance gate and shoveled around it. When they were getting ready to go out to the road they heard Mrs. Petroff’s voice.

“Ania! Miss. Hermione! Come inside now. The snow is starting to get heavy again and it is almost dark.”

Hermione and Ania ran to the door in happiness. The soft glow of the houses warmth spilled out from the open door. Hermione saw Feodora run past yelling at Dimitri who was trailing behind her laughing.

As Hermione stepped into the house she could smell food in the air.

“Alright dears, go take a bath and get some heat in your bodies. Supper should be ready very soon.” Mrs. Petroff put the shovels into the foyer closet and grabbed their coats. “We’ll just keep your coat down here honey so it doesn’t get all your nice clothes cold and wet.” She patted Hermione’s shoulder.

“Thank you,” Hermione and Ania hurried up the stairs and split company, each going to their own room.

Hermione pulled her key out of her jean pocket and opened her door. She was surprised to see Crookshanks greet her at the door.

“Hey Crookshanks,” Hermione picked him up and walked into the room. “Did you have a good day?” She sat down on the edge of her bed and plopped Crookshanks down beside her. Hermione pulled off her wet boots, “I am freaking’ freezing.” She rubbed her numb feet before standing up. She patted Crookshanks’ head then walked to the bathroom.

Hermione threw off her t-shirt and jacket then pealed off her soaking wet jeans. Her bare skin looked ghost white from the cold wet clothes. She turned on the shower water. As it heated she undid her frizzy plait. Her hair looked like a frizzy golden halo around her face in the bathroom light. Hermione stripped off her underwear then stepped into the shower. The warm droplets made her frozen body tingle and burn. Slowly her muscles relaxed, the tension eased from her body. Her cramped hands and arms that had had no feeling except random shots of pain experienced less pain beneath the gentle shower of warm water.

She washed her hair and body then dried off with a large fluffy blue towel. As she stepped out of the shower the floor felt cold to her wet and heat reddened feet.

Hermione picked out a comfortable outfit consisting of worm old jeans and a plan gray sweater. She quickly plaited her hair and sprayed honeysuckle perfume. Hermione looked at her reflection and smiled softly. She still couldn’t believe that this person staring straight back at her was Hermione Granger. That she was truly in Russia…that she really was strong enough to go so very far away from home and everything she knew.

But her smile began to fade as she thought of the one person she wished was right beside her even now. The person she knew secretly she had left for. Oh yes, she can say she left for herself. And in a way she did. She needed to find herself and to accept what had happened in the past. For him.

She looked determinedly at the mirror. She could do it. After all, she had gotten through one night without nightmares and an entire day with only a few thoughts of regret and pain. Her hands smoothed down the slicked back hair on the top of her head. “Give yourself time,”

Hermione left the bathroom and found a very hungry and grumpy cat awaiting her. “Come here Crookshanks,” She walked ahead of him and poured food into his bowl. “There you go,” He meowed loudly and began munching on his food.

Wow...Shan does ballet too! Sweetness! I LOVE dance. I'm going to a camp this summer to study for two weeks half way across the country. I got a scholorship too. I don't find it that relaxing since I'm dripping in sweat working my...butt off, but it's fun to do and I find it a great way to escape from home. Anyway...good post. Lev's back. He sounds...interesting. Does he like Hermy? Ooooo...that might get interesting. =P

lol, I'm sure. Well I only do strecthes at the bar and I just learned how to do some jumps and stuff. So I don't do that much actual dancing. Thank you

School was canceled for me AGIAN! because we got a foot of snow yesterday and freezing rain at night. No one is really allowed to drive now! =-O Only sad thing about this is my Easter and Spring vacation is practically gone. And I was planning on doing some stuff over that long weekend...darn. Oh well. It looks so pretty outside I can't stay mad. And it really fits what I'm writing right now that it is easier to picture in my mind

. So I'm going to write today and post...well that is if my Dad ever gets off the other computer which has all my work on it. I made some major changes from what I wrote down in History class that I can't use it really. I need to look at what I changed.

Hopefully he won't be too long. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a post tonight

Gosh I've missed you...I've missed everyone! 2 weeks without the internet is torture, especially when you've got no one to talk to. I really need to get out and make some friends. I think Thursday night clubbing sounds like a good idea...
I was meant to go to a salsa dance class last Tuesday night, but I'd spent most of the day in Bristol as I had an appointment there for my National Insurance Number application, and I walked everywhere, so when I got back home I was buggered and ended up falling asleep watching Scrubs. I didn't wake up until after the class had finished. LOL. It's ok. I might go this week instead. It'll be different to what I'm used to.

Anyway, it's waaaay past my bedtime so I should go to sleep. I've got job hunting to do tomorrow if I want to eat anytime in the near future. And move out of my uncle's couch. I need my own space...3 people sharing a tiny flat is horrible. But first I need a job. That's my top priority.
