No need to stalk me, Lisa. I have a post!

Draco watched Hermione leave with a strange feeling. It was nice of her to bring him his school work, he admitted to himself. Yet, he still hated the idea that he'd have to make her like him enough to gain her trust.

"Can I go now?" Draco asked Madam Pomfry who was looking through a near by closet.

"How do you feel?" she asked him.

"Fine," he replied.

"Then you may," she replied giving him one last look before returning to her room.

Draco hopped out of bed, gathered his things and left. He was on his way to the Slytherin common room when he saw Snape coming his way.

"Draco, may I ask why you were absent today, in potions?" Snape asked him.

"That's none of your business!" he replied angrily.

Snape glared at him.

"I have nothing to say to you, so take," he handed Draco a letter, "it's form your father."

Draco took it without a word and left. He entered the nearest classroom and untied it. The letter read:

Dear Draco,
Firstly, I am hearing form Severus not very pleasant things and I am asking you to do what he says. He can help you if you need him. Secondly, you will be coming home for Christmas where I am pleased to inform you that Pansy Parkinson will be staying with us at Malfoy Manor. Maybe you will consider her to be you're wife after you graduate from Hogwarts. And Lastly, the Dark Lord wants information about the whereabouts of the order when you come home for Christmas, so whatever you are planning to do, do it now. You have one month left until Christmas.
Your father

Draco folded the letter with trembling hands. He had one month to make Hermione Granger fall in love with him and the worst of all, consider Pansy Parkinson as your wife, had his family gone mad? It was worse enough he had to spend Christmas with her, but his family was arranging marriage for the two of them? He needed a plan, and fast!

Hey new reader. yeah that was for real. Not many details went into that becuase of school. if I could I'd rewrite it all. Well heres the next post. I have such a short attention span. i got bored with my science project and began working on this.

Hermione loved the familiar crunch of gravel as her and Harry walked down to the Lake. hagrid was planning on teaching them about the Giant Squid. hermione had helped him plan this lessona and knew nothing could go wrong, unless a Slytherin wanted it to.

"Hermione," Harry said for the fourth time that morning and she knew exactly what would follow."I think you should make-up with Ron."

Hermione scoffed,"And have him get mad at me yet again for something so stupid as taking homework to someone I hate on someone elses order. I don't think so. Anyways I don't think I didn't anything wrong."

"But Hermione look at it from Ron's point of veiw."

Hermione sighed,"His point of veiw would be,'Once i get there I blow him up' and you know I'm right." Hermione groaned as Harry opened his mouth to start again,"Just drop it Harry." She focused her attention on the lesson even though she knew every last it of it.

As Hagrid dissmissed the class Hermione was struggling to close her bag. She looked up at Harry,"Go on without me I'll be there soon. Anyways your probably dying to see Ron."

"Okay," Harry said as hermione listend to his retreating footsteps.

"Granger." Hermione sighed. A voice like that shouldn't be so familiar that it made her stomache flip. She looked up and stared at Malfoy then looked back at her bag and continued fiddling with it."You need some help?"
Hermione looked up."Offering to help. Suspicious. Sure go ahead it won't zip."

As Malfoy walked around her his scent hit her hard. It musky and manly and like nothing she had ever smelled before. She watched him as he zipped her bag with ease noting the flex of his muscles under his short-sleeve shirt. get a grip on yourself, she said in her head, IT'S MALFOY!
As he stepped back he smiled,"There you go."

"Thanks Malfoy." Hermione slipped her bag onto her shoulder and saw him still standing there"'What?"

"What do you have planned this Friday?"His eyes held curiosity.

"Nothing really. Why you ask?" Hermione began walking up the hill him following beside her.

"I was wondering if you would want to have dinner with me that night down by the lake."Hermione satred at the words that came out of his mouth.

"What about Pansy. I don't want to be cursed into the deep dark spaces of the universe." Hermione wasn't joking at all.

"Is that a yes?"

Hermione looked at the smirk on his face. It was the most playful thing she had ever seen."Fine its a yes. What time?"

"Meet me at about eight and please don't be late." Draco waved by and Hermione felt her heart skip a beat.

the day dragged on and Hermione told no one about her plan to meet Malfoy. She walked got up from the table during dinner and mumbled a lie to Harry about going to the library to do some homework. As she headed out the door she took in the scent of the night. She walked along the familiar path and sighed. Checking around her, Hermione made sure she wasn't be followed. As she got to the lake she saw Malfoy and smiled.

"Well here I am Malfoy."

"Yes there you are. And here is the picnic basket,"He said grabbing it out from the tree.

Shirel I don't know what chaoter we are on. I lost count. Your post was good and I can't wait till you next post.

Hello! I am terribly sorry about the long wait. The last month of school is always very busy for me but I finish next week! btw, I found what chpter were up to! Here it is:

Chapter 15:

Draco took out the blanket and laid it on the ground. He took out two small candles and lit them with a flick of his wand. Next, he took out a plate of sandwiches and a plate of cookies.

"Have a seat, my lady."

Hermione blushed and sat down. Draco sat down beside her and handed her a sandwich. She took it and smiled.

"What?" Draco asked.

"Nothing, it's just that… You've really changed." She looked at him and their eyes locked. Draco knew he had done well. And all the work had been worth it. Tomorrow if Snape asked how it was coming, he'd have news. He leaned in to kiss her, but she turned away.

Draco sighed, annoyed. What else did he have to do to please her? He made himself look like a total idiot just so she would like him. So why wasn't she satisfied yet?

"Look," she said quickly, trying to clear up the awkwardness.

"Its fine, I get it."

"Wait, its not that I don't like you or anything. I think you're a great guy but its going to take me a while. You're a Malfoy and I'm a… Mudblood."

"Hermione!" Draco said trying to sound exasperated. "Don't call yourself that." Although he thought, I would call her that any day if it weren't for Snape…

"Why not?" she said. "It's what I am. It’s the truth."

"Fine, but at least say muggleborn. It's better than saying-" he stopped himself.

"I guess," she said, smiling now. She took a cookie and took a bite. "This is good! Did you bake them especially for me?"

"Well, uh…"

Hermione laughed, pleased with herself. "Come on, Draco. Don't pretend!"

"Hey!" Draco protested. "I went all the way to the kitchen and had to persuade the house elves that it was for someone special. Don't think it was that easy."

"Uh huh," said Hermione nodding. "What hard work you do for me."

"And it's all because I care about you Hermione," said Draco resisting the erge to punch himself in the face. "May I offer you this dance?"

Hermione didn't answer for a moment, than slowly nodded.

Draco took her hand and pulled her up. He wrapped his arm around her waist and they began a slow dance. He felt her stiffen a little; Draco guessed that she didn't fully trust him yet. There was nice music in the background playing from Draco's wand. They danced for a few minutes. Their eyes were locked. Draco felt Hermione slowly relax as he pulled her closer to him. They’re faces were merely ten inches away. This is too easy, Draco thought as they're heads were now inches apart.

He put his lips to hers and kissed her.
