Hello everyone! This ff, “Never too Far,” is going to be written by not only me (Shirel- shirelbb) but by Heather (springbaby) too. This is going to be a Dramione ff and taking place in Draco’s and Hermione’s seventh year. I am going to write from Draco’s perspective in green and Heather is going to write it from Hermione’s perspective, in red.

There are a lot of Dramione fan fics in the Harry Potter fan world but each and every one is special in its own way! Enjoy!

Prolougue:

Draco pushed his trunk through the barrier dividing platforms nine and ten. He opened his eyes and found the station full of people of his kind. Again, he came with no mother and father to say goodbye to him before he got on the train and kiss him and make him promise to write to them during the school term. His parents were Death Eaters and they couldn’t just march into a station full of Aurors. The only reason he was really allowed to return to Hogwarts was because he didn’t actually kill Dumbledore and even if he tried to, he was still underage.

He didn’t even want to come back this year, because a supposed to-be murderer of Albus Dumbledore doesn’t really get welcomed back into Hogwarts with open arms. There was sure to be trouble this year from Potter, Weasley and Granger wanting to skin him alive the first chance they got. But he doubted they would even come back this year. With the Death Eaters and the Dark Lord at large, they were sure to be searching for him. It was a thing likely for Potter to do.

So the main reason he came back was because he was ordered to get inside information about Hogwarts, much to his dismay, and if Potter dared to come back, Draco was supposed to help hand him over to the Dark Lord.

Was he proud of being a Death Eater? Yes, he was. He was brought up in the Malfoy family and in that family you are surrounded by the Dark Arts. He grew up knowing that being a Death Eater and believing that mudbloods shouldn’t learn magic was the right way to think. He himself hated mudbloods, especially Granger.

Sometimes he imagined himself as a normal, innocent teenager with a pretty girlfriend sitting down by the lake, kissing. Maybe even having parents that could go anywhere without fear of Aurors. Sure, he was proud of being a Malfoy, but sometimes he just wished his every move wasn’t being watched. He was almost positive the teachers at Hogwarts were going to keep a close eye on him this year so he had to be extremely careful.

He stared wildly around Platform 9 3/4 for enemies. He made sure to keep his wand out if he needed to act quickly. He dragged his trunk to the doors of the Hogwarts express keeping his eyes peeled for any sign of Potter.

And there he was. Down, at the end of the station, standing with Weasley and Granger. They were talking to Mad-Eye Moody and his old Defense against the Dark Arts teacher, Lupin. He sighed knowing he was going to have a lot of dark work to do this year. He walked onto the train, carrying his trunk and to his amazement it wasn’t as heavy as it usually was when he carried it and he guessed that his hard workout this year had really helped. He searched for his Slytherin friends and found them huddled together in a compartment at the end of the train. He slid opened the door and greeted everyone. He saw Crabbe, Goyle, Blaise, and Pansy. He took a seat right next to Pansy and let her sit close to him. He usually found her annoying but when he had no parents hugging and kissing him, he found it quite comforting.

“Why are you so pale?” she asked him worriedly.

Draco didn’t answer her right away; he was used to her nudging him all the time.

“All Malfoys are pale,” he answered with a smirk on his face.

He stared out the window as the train began to pick up speed. This year was not going to be an easy one, he thought, because starting this week he was going to suffer endless pain in the hands of the Dark Lord, like a real and true Death Eater.

Okay guys here it is Hermiones beginning part.Of course I am not as good of a writer as Shirel so I give you the best I can.

Hermione walked through the barier casually with Harry right behind her. She turned and wastched as Ron and Lupin came into view followed bye Mad-Eye Moody who limped through the barrier. She walked down to the other end of the platform Harry and Ron on her heels. She stopped turned around and watched as the circle formed. Harry looked livid as if he had been forced to take something nasty and Ron looked a little scared at Harry's anger. Hermione gentley touched Harry's shoulder and shook her head.

"Okay I don't thnk we need to tell you to be good and stay out of trouble because our adults now and I think we can trust you to behave yourselves,"Lupin said starring at the three of them.

Harry laughed"Now do you really think we are actually going to get suspended this year. We've been getting into troble ever since our first year and still haven't been kicked out." He looked down at the other end of the station and had a scowl on his face yet again.

"I don't know about you,but i've behaved myself better than the both of you.Espacially in my second year,"Hermione said looking at Ron and Harry.

"Yeah but that doesn't count you were petrified for part of the year,"Ron said looking at her"So technially that year doesn't really count.

"No Ron it,"Hermione began but was cut off

"Just drop it you two the point is keep your ears and eyes open,and your mouths shut,"Moody growled at them both.

"The point is behave,got it,"Lupin said looking at the three of them as they nodded. "Good. Now get on the train before it leaves without you."

Hermione turned her cart around and pushed it down the platform. She waved bye to Lupin and Moddy and boreded the train behind Ron and Harry sighing as their conversation dirffted to her,"Its like they think we get into trouble everyday,"Ron said defesively.Hermione rolled her eyes and continued to walk down the corridor looking for and empty compartment incase they missed one. She accidently bumped into Ron as Harry stopped and glared into a compartment.

She looked and saw Malfoy sitting there,"Just keep walking Harry I can see an empty compartment from here."

As Harry , Ron , and Hermioned got situated Harry sat down ,"Did you guys see who was back this year,"he asked scowling.

"No Harry we didn't,"Hermione said sarcasticly as she sat down and opend her book"Why don't you tell us who it was."

Hary opend his mouth about to argue when Ron cut him off, "Just drop it mate or Hermione will go all 'Oh don't conceren yourself with it' on us,"Ron said grabbing a chocolate card from his pocket.

Hermione sat there reading her book quietly letting them talk about what their little hearts desired. This year is going to be a long year, she thought, a very long year.

Chapter 1: An Evening Stroll

Draco and his friends entered the Great Hall and walked over to the Slytherin table, stomach’s rumbling. Draco sat on the bench and Pansy hurried over to sit next to him. On his other side, sat Blaise and across from them sat Crabbe and Goyle. This year McGonagall was Headmistress and they of course had another new staff member this year replacing Snape who taught Defense against the Dark Arts. While everyone was filing in Draco noticed that the enchanted ceiling was midnight blue; the exact color of Dumbledore’s robes! He figured that it was there to remember him and the thought of Dumbledore made him sick.

“Dracoooo,” Pansy nudged playfully and tickled his arm slightly. He jumped at her touch and sprang out of his thoughts. He pushed his hand away from her reach and smiled instead.

“I hate sorting!” he complained. “Why can’t we just skip to the food?”

“I’m not going to each much tonight. You see, I’m on a special diet that will make me look really pretty. I wake up in the morning and at Breakfast I only eat the-”

“- eggs and at lunch you eat the cheese and toast and at dinner you eat the chicken and drink lot’s of water,” he finished for her.

Pansy looked stunned at smiled admiringly up at Draco.

“Bravo Draco!” she said clapping her hands. “That’s exactly what I do. But how did you know?”

“I know because you only told me that about one hundred and twenty times!” he replied beginning to get annoyed with her.

“Wow!” she exclaimed. “Only one hundred and twenty times? Remind me to tell you again before you go to bed!” she joked.

“I will, only once I’ve fed myself to the dragons first,” he played along. The sorting began but he neither of them was listening.

“What will I tell Potter when you haven’t come back?” she asked.

Draco looked over at the Gryffindor table and saw Potter sitting with Weasley, Granger and Longbottom. He looked back at Pansy and smirked.

“Tell him I went to the spa to find good women!” he said but immediately regretted it when Pansy glared at him. “I mean to get good muscles for the girl I love most!” he said trying to cover up. He gave her a light kiss on her cheek and she relaxed straight away. She turned her head to watch the sorting.

Draco looked down at his plate, deep in thought. He really meant what he said about Pansy. She was the perfect girlfriend; she was extremely pretty with her long curly black hair and blue eyes, and she was really good at kissing. She wasn’t really smart though but Draco loved her sarcasm. But what he really liked about her was that she agreed and did whatever he wanted her to do, he admitted to himself.

After the sorting had ended the empty dishes filled with all kinds of different foods and he immediately began filling his plate with his favorite foods. Pansy on the other hand took a piece of chicken and filled her silver goblet with water.

“Did you try the Potatoes, yet?” Blaise asked him.

“I’m not in the mood for them now but the meat is great!” he said, knowing that would annoy Blaise since he was a vegetarian.

Blaise rolled his eyes and turned to Pansy.

“How do you survive with him being your girlfriend?” he asked and Draco stepped on his foot.

“With great difficulty,” she smiled and pulled Draco into a hug.

Crabbe and Goyle watched with interest and tried to follow the conversation by laughing stupidly at the appropriate times.

“I’m full,” Draco said pushing his plate away from him and looked at Pansy who finished first. “Do you want to go for a walk?”

“Oh, yes!” she said excitedly.

They stood up and walked away from the Slytherin table towards the doors, hand in hand. They wore about to exit when they heard a snicker in back of them. Draco spun around to see who his next victim would be and was not surprised when he saw Potter, Weasley, and Granger. By the look of it, Weasley was the one who snickered.

“Did something happen to your face, Weasley?” he asked coldly.

“I never thought you would have Parkinson as a girlfriend,” he said and Draco felt Pansy tighten her grip around his arm.

“Look at it this way. You don’t even have a girlfriend, blood traitor. At least girls like me, unlike you,” he said with a smirk. “Girls can barely look at you, you’re so ugly.”

Weasley made to take out his wand but Potter was faster. He went in front of him and thrust out his wand. Draco did the same and Pansy took back her arm and stood in back of him to watch the action.

“You should not have said that!” said Potter dangerously and Draco saw Granger trying to convince Potter that it wouldn’t be a good idea to pick a fight on their first day.

“Why? Going to run to Dumbledore?” Draco laughed knowing Potter would not like this. And he didn’t; his eyes flashed dangerously and he yelled a spell which missed Draco narrowly.

“Externafly!” he yelled. A spell he had learnt that from his aunt Bellatrix.

A blue string of light soared towards Potter but he ducked just before it hit him. Potter was about to fight back when a familiar voice yelled at them.

“What is going on here?” yelled Professor McGonagall.

Draco tried to look innocent but it didn’t work for Professor McGonagall.

“We don’t use wands against classmates! Since I can’t dock any points, you will each get a detention with whom I will notify you tomorrow at breakfast,” she said angrily and gave them a disapproving look before turning on her heel and leaving.

Draco took Pansy by her hand and together they left the Great hall out into the dark night. They walked in silence around the lake each in their own thoughts.

“Thank you for standing up for me back there,” she said, looking at the ground.

“I will always look after you,” he said. He picked up her chin and kissed her lips lightly. He moved his mouth up to her ear and tickled it with his tong, wrapping his arms around her waist. He put his hand through her hair and played with it.

Okay lets ee I'll have my post up in about three days if possible we are about to enter the new semester in my school so i'll be pretty busy.

Okay peoples heres the thing....i've been really busy and seeing as I need to keep grades up my post will be comming just a little slower than usal.
Seeing as I am finally done with this one I am now going to post it. Enjoy. Sorry for the ranting just a habit.

Hermione, Ron, and Harry made their way out of the great hall and to Hermione's disapointment ran into Malfoy. She sighed angerly as the comments shot past her and glared at him angerly when he mentioned Ron's girlfriend status. She wanted nothing more then to blow him to bits, but Harry had already pulled his wand out.

"Harry don't do it your just going to get into to trouble and it's only our first day back,"she whispered trying to pull him away from the fight.It was to late and a lost cause when Malfoy sneered something about Dumbledore that she didn't completely catch and Harry had fired a spell at him. It missed Malfoy by a few inches and then he retaliated. She ducked as Harry ducked and then stood back up and watrched as Harry was about to go at it again until Professor McGonagall showed up.

"What is going on here?" yelled Professor McGonagall.

Hermione watched Malfoy tried to pull on an innocent look and was about to stand up in Harry's defense but Professor McGonagall had already told them theyd have detention.Hermione grabbed Harry and Ron and they walked up the stairs heading to the common room.

"I told you not to fight,"she said climbing a set of stairs.

"Oh just drop it Hermione it wasn't his fault that Malfoy made him angry,"Ron said rolling his eyes as he walked in front of her.

"Oh don't get so overly dramatic Ronald,"she said angerly. She walked up to the Fat Lady and gave the password,"I don't understand why you three have to squabble evrything.So what Ron doesn't have a girlfriend it doesn't matter."

Ron and Harry looked like the had eaten something sour as their faces dropped into shock at her words.Oh well she thought it isn't my fault they don't know how to behave.

"Actually I'm very defensive over my love life and who says I don't have a girlfriend,"Ron said bitterly.

"Well its obvious that you don't because if you do then why don't we see her,"Hermione said standing at the stair case to the dorms.

"Well your not taken either do. How did we even get onto the whole topic of relationships anyway?"Ron was glaring was as if it was asking him to kill himself.

"You know what just forget Ronald. I guess its true what they say about boys they mature a lot slower than girls because your pretty in mature to let anything Malfoy,"she spat the name" says get to you.So just drop it and grow uo like the rest of us."

Hermione turned around angirly and heard Ron mutter something like its not my fault. She went into the girls dorm and fell on her bed letting the tears flow,"Stupid boys,"she muttered picking up a book off the floor. She flipped to the marked page and picked up her reading from there. Thoughts swam through out her head that had nothing to do with the words on the page. She closed the book and put it on her bed-side table, rolled over and slowly fell to sleep.

It was soooo good. I think Ron really should get a girlfriend. Maybe with that he'll miture a little. Cuz now he's acting like a little seven year old...

I will post sometime this week probably. I have a really busy week ahead of me and I don't know how much time I'll have to go on the computer.
