Ok, Its been almost three weeks since my last post and I've been trying to finish typing the tenth chapter up but every time I try to type I find myself just staring at the screen for an hour... Oh and btw I forgot to tell you!!! Thursday was my last day of school!!!!!!!!!!!! And as I mentioned to Jemma, I am sick!!!

On the first few days of the summer, NOT NORMAL!!!!!! But I think I'm getting better. I'm drinking lots and lots of tea! Anyway, (its me who's rambling now, Cody! ) I'll try to get it up today.

Anyway, hey you all! Finally its been a long month with no post. I was having writers block, but finally today I finished the chapter. I hope you like it!

Chapter Ten:

As I sat there crying, I felt someone walk in and put a hand on my shoulder. I spun around immediately and flung out my wand. Even though it was dark, I could tell it was Harry.

"What do you want?" I asked him coldly.

"I've been looking for you. I just came to apologize for the scene in the common room. It was my fault."

I didn't say anything. I didn't know what to say and I was afraid that he'd become my next punching bag, so I just kept my mouth shut.

He continued, "I was worried and a little suspicious as to why you got all those broses and scars."

"It's none of your business," I said. "It's like me asking you why you have a scar on your forehead."

"You know why," he said.

"Yes, he gave it to you."

"Lord Voldemort."

I flinched. "Don't you dare speak the Dark Lord's name!" I stood up so that our heads were almost leveled.

He stared at me. "Are you a Death Eater or something?"

"NO!" I said automatically, wishing that the answer could be a 'no' forever. "I would never join them!" I said and tears sprang out of my eyes once again.

Harry kept starring at me as if I was paranoid. He didn't know what to do.

"No one said you have to be a Death Eater," he said quickly. He wrapped his arms around me and did what was called a 'hug.' I had seen Lavender and Parvati do it a bunch of times. It felt nice and warm and I wanted him to hug me forever and never let go.

"Come," he whispered. "Let's go back to the common room, it's getting late."

We walked back up in silence. My thoughts whirled back to Death Eaters and the reason I was here, at Hogwarts.

When we reached the portrait of the fat lady and Harry was about to say the password, I stopped him.

"Harry," I said.

"Yes?" he said, turning around to face me.

"Promise me one thing," I said, looking straight into his green eyes.

Harry looked at me puzzled. "What?"

"Promise you'll never fall in love with me," I said.

It was the one thing I had dreamed of most for so many years. The one thing I had heard, read, wished, was about to be taken away from me. But, I knew if I didn't do this now, it would be too late.

He looked startled and taken aback by my promise. "Um… okay."

The next morning was a very unusual one. Hermione was talking to me like nothing had happened the day before. Like the fight which we had yesterday never occurred. All was forgotten and forgiven. Well, mostly because I had more important things on my mind rather than foolish arguments. I had exactly two weeks left until October 1st, my 17th Birthday. I don't know if scared is the word. More like frightening, I'd say.

The next week I spent alone. I built an imaginary wall around me letting no one into my thoughts or fears. Harry, Ron, and Hermione made some attempts to talk to me, but I made excuses and went to my dorm. Time was going by too fast for my liking. I only had a few more days until my nightmare would come. One day, as I was walking out of the potions classroom, Draco grabbed me by the arm.

"Lorly, I need to talk to you."

I tried to pull away, but his grip on my arm only tightened. "Draco let go of me, I don't want to talk to you. I don't want anything to do with you."

"Just come with me, please," he whispered.

I went along with him, unwillingly. He led me to the end of the dungeon hall and faced me.

"I know you're mad at me, but please understand it's not my fault. I have nothing to do with it," he pleaded. I snatched my arm out of his grip and looked him straight in the face. My eyes were red and puffy and I had lost my confidence, so that I was trembling slightly. I had never been like this even when Serena had let those big black barn dogs, which belonged to a barn not far away from the shack, bite me.

"You know I don't want to be a Death Eater, Draco," I said. "I'm not like my father. My mother would have never wanted me to become one."

"How would you know that? You never even met her!"

"I could feel her in my heart," I said touching the tiny gold locket that was around my neck.

"Listen, I'll be there with you. You won't have to be alone."

"Draco I'm scared," I finally said, breaking down into tears. He wrapped me into a hug and suddenly I was spilling out everything that I had been through for the past few days. He soothed me and told me it would be alright and everything would workout in the end. I tried my hardest to believe him, but inside I was falling apart, little by little.

I was walking back to the common room, ready for a free period that we had now. I planned to spend it by sleeping. Last night I hadn't been able to fall asleep, so I was pretty much exhausted. I gave the password to the fat lady and she opened for me, muttering about how skinny and pale I looked and I how wasn't eating enough.

I walked into a pool of utter darkness. Something was not right. I felt along the walls, but stopped in my tracks as I heard a loud pop! My heart beat fast and my head was spinning. Suddenly the lights went on and-

"SURPRISE!"


At every sad time, there comes a good time.

I just came back from camp a few hours ago! !!!!!
Okay, now a new page!!!! I have a post!!! -Well at least half a post! Tomorrow night I will probably add the rest. Here you go!

Chapter 11:

All the Gryffindor's in my year were standing all around me in the common room, all smiling happily, and singing a song which I have never heard of before. They all led me to a big red armchair which I sat down somewhat, awkwardly. I tried to smile, I tried not to cry, I tried to be happy, and I tried to thank everyone for arranging me a birthday party. I really did try, but all I did was sit there numbly and look for a way to escape.

It was my first Birthday party that someone had thrown for me, and yet, I felt as if it was my funeral party.

I looked around at all the smiling faces of, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Lavender, Parvati, Seamus, and Dean, filled with concern and suddenly I felt ashamed with myself. All they tried to do was help and I wasn't even paying them the slightest attention.

"Th-thank you guys," I stuttered. "I really appreciate your effort."

"Here are the presents," said Ron, handing me a stack of presents. I took them gratefully, feeling a little excited. I never received a present before and I was curious to know what was inside the colorful rappers. I opened First lavender's and Parvati's present and my eyes lit up. They had given me a golden bracelet. I thank them and forced myself to smile. Next, I opened Ron's: a bag of sweets. I opened Hermione's next and wasn't at all surprised to find a book about spells. I thought it was it, when Harry handed me a small box covered with silver paper and red ribbon. I looked around and realized that everyone else had gone, it was just me and Harry in the common room. I ripped open the paper and removed the lid. Inside was a beaded necklace. It was beautiful. I looked down at my locket.

"You could ware something else for a change instead of that locket you always wear," said Harry.

I looked down at the necklace in my hands and shook my head.

"I'm sorry," I whispered sadly. "You wouldn’t understand."

"You're right," Harry said, his voice rising a little. "How would I, when you're so distant and rapped up in your own self all the time?"

I didn't answer.

"Why can't you act like a normal person for once?" he asked angrily.

"You know you're not going to get answers so why do you bother?" I said.

He was silent for several moments. "Because I care about you," he finally said.

"You shouldn’t," I said getting up to leave.

He pulled me back and looked straight into my eyes. I couldn't turn away no matter how hard I tried.

"Look," he whispered. "I don't know anything about you. Where you're from, who you are… all I know is, you're always miserable, and somehow, I'm going to find out why."

"Harry," I pleaded. "Please, you don't want to get involved."

I was on the verge of tears. I tried hard not to let them spill out, but with Harry standing so close, I was sure he could notice. Why did I have to cry? When I was with Serena I never cried. What do all these emotions mean?

Harry didn't answer. He moved his head closer and closer… his lips met mine… he held me close and tight… my eyes closed… and I felt wonderful… All my worries were gone.

Hey Becca!! I missed you!
I hope the chapter wasn't awkward or anything. Or the kiss wasn't to soon. I had to move on with the plot.

There hasn't been the rest of the chapter I promised becasue, sadly, I have not been feeling well this past week and I still don't feel very well. As soon as I feel better I will post. I love you all!
