Here is Chapter six. Its a little shorter than usual but it fits for the celebration of Becca, Jemma and Ashy who have been sorted!

Chapter Six:

I closed the letter with an angry feeling. I knew exactly what Draco wanted to see me for. I knew that I was in big trouble for being placed in Gryffindor. With a heavy feeling, I exited the common room and concentrated on finding the entrance to the castle. I knew it was on the first floor, so all I had to do was take the moving staircase all the way down.

I found Draco standing near the castle doors not looking very pleased. I held out my wand that he had given me on the train out in front of me, ready to attack him if need be.

"You are in serous trouble," said Draco.

"Why?" I asked him coldly.

"You know exactly why," he answered back in the same tone.

I stared at him, daring him to try anything, just anything and I would rip him into tiny, little pieces.

"Do you think I asked to be in Gryffindor?" I asked him angrily.

"I don't care what you asked for or not, but the quest remains the same. When we get the signal, Potter is brought directly to hands of the Dark Lord and then, you can go back to that old woman, Serena."

I glared at him. I knew he was making fun of me.

"You've got some nerve, Malfoy!" I scowled. "You will regret the day you were born when I'm through with you, Draco Malfoy!"

Without waiting for his reply I ran off back up to Gryffindor tower. By the time I found my way back up it was already late and I still needed to think of a plan to revenge Malfoy. I climbed the stairs up to the girl's dormitory and entered the seventh year's dorm. I found Hermione and the two girls who had laughed at me at dinner getting ready for bed. When they heard me come in, they stopped chattering immediately and hurried into bed.

I sighed angrily and headed to the bathroom.

"Get up! GET UP ALREADY!"

I opened my eyes and sat bolt upright, expecting to see Serena towering over me, holding a broomstick in her hand, about to hit me with it. But what I saw made me realize for the second time in two days that I was no longer living with Serena. I was free! Well, almost… I still had Draco Malfoy to take care off until my real liberty and freedom would come. It was Hermione yelling at me to get up.

"It's about time! I just tolled Lavender to go fetch me some water," she said looking very annoyed.

"Hermione, is she up?" I heard Lavender ask.

"Yes," Hermione replied. "No need for the water."

"Well, what are you waiting for?" she asked, looking agitated. "Go get dressed or you'll be late!"

I made my way out of bed towards the bathroom. I stopped at the door. It was already being occupied be Parvati. She was putting some colored powder on her face.

"What are you doing?" I asked before I could stop myself.

Parvati turned to look at me. She looked at me disbelievingly.

"Are you like, from the old times?" she asked. "This is makeup, weirdo. And that's a shower." She added in case I didn't know.

She was right. I didn't. I felt so stupid standing there and not knowing what anything was. I felt like an old-timer. In-fact, I think just living with an old lady like Serena makes me a double old-timer.

"It's all yours," she said packing up her stuff and stepping out.

I closed the door and turned on the faucet. I splashed cold water on my face and looked at my reflection in the mirror. My bruises had started to clear up, but were still very noticeable. I changed my clothes form the other day into fresh robes and pinned the Gryffindor pin onto my robe. I walked out of the bathroom and saw Hermione, Lavender and Parvati gathering their things.

"Were going now, Lorly," Hermione said to me. "You're welcome to join us."

With out a word I carried my bag full of books out of the dorm and walked with them.

"I hope we don't have potions on our first day," Parvati said.

"What's wrong with potions?" I asked, thinking about a potion that I can use on Malfoy.

"We have potions with the Slytherin's," Hermione answered. "Professor Snape is head of Slytherin. He's not nice to any house besides his own."

"Oh," I said.

There was a moments silence as we walked down to the bottom floor.

"What's with the bruises, Lorly?" Hermione asked me. It seemed like she'd wanted to ask me that question since she first met me on the train, but had been holding it in.

"Um…" I said trying to think of an excuse. "I fell. No big deal." I hoped she'd believe me and not pasture me any further, but I was saved. At that moment we had entered the Great Hall and the noise there was loud. All over there were owls flying in and out, looking for its owner. We walked over to the Gryffindor table and I was about to go sit by myself at the end of the table, when Hermione turned to me.

"Lorly, come sit with me, Harry and Ron."

I was about to decline the invitation. I wasn't very comfortable about sitting with my supposed to be enemy and all the Death's Eater's enemy, Harry Potter, but the warm smile Hermione gave me, changed my mind. I slid in beside her. Harry and Ron stared at me for a moment and gave Hermione a questioning look before returning back to their food.

I loaded my plate with all kinds of different foods, anxious to try everything and this time, with a little more experience from last nights events, I ate with a fork and a knife. At first I ate a little clumsy, but once I got used to it, I realized it was actually quite easy.

"Did McGonagall give out our schedules yet?" Hermione asked Harry and Ron.

"Oh, yeah," Harry answered, pulling out a schedule from his bag and handing it to Hermione. "She gave me one to give to Hermione but she didn't give me one for you." He explained to me apologetically.

"That's okay," I replied unhurt. "I'll be fine without it."

"Great!" Hermione cried, looking up form her schedule. "Potions class first! Why did I jinx it?"

"I can't wait to see Malfoy's face when I try Harry's new spell on him," Ron said but Harry and Hermione gave him a warning look and he stopped talking.

I knew it was because of me. If they were going to hide secrets form me, than maybe they weren't the friends I was looking for and I'd just have to keep searching.

awesome post!! Serves them right for just assuming that she would be sorted into Slytherin. And the other this is...well, maybe it's not that Ron stopped talking because of her, that's sorta what they do so maybe they are the friends you're looking for. Please dont hand Harry over to Voldemort, thats never good.

Yeah it would. I always imagined Lavender and Parvati as girlygirls and a little snobbish, but I think they are nice once you get to know them. Well Paravti, at least becasue I think Lavender is a little imature and very flirty. I lerned that form the Sixth book. Thanks for reading, Jemma!

Thankies Jenn!! I agree. It wasn't APhrothena's fault that she was sorted into Gryffindor. Harry and Hermione tolled Ron to be quiet becasue he was revealing secret information that was only meant for their ears. They're like that, but maybe, just maybe, Aphrothena will fit in and they will be good friends. We'll have to wait and see!

Chapter Seven:

I walked in back of Hermione, Harry, and Ron down to the dungeons towards the potions classroom. We entered the classroom and took our seats. I saw Malfoy talking to a bunch of boys and a girl, from his house that I had met on the train. I scowled when he looked at me and took a seat at the back of the class and sat by myself waiting for the potions Professor. I didn't know what to expect and was slightly nervous that he wiould ask me questions that I wouldn't be able to answer.

"Please take your seats," said a cold voice. "Class has begun."

Professor Snape, a middle-aged wizard with long black robes and shoulder length sleek, black hair strode in to the front of the classroom and called out names in alphabetical order.

"Mr. Malfoy, Ms. Parkinson, Mr. Weasley," he dragged on in a lazy, cold voice. "Ms. Brown, Ms Patil, Mr. Potter, Mr. Longbottom, Miss Attanment …" he paused and looked straight towards me.

I felt Goosebumps on my arms and a shiver run down my spine as his dark eyes bore into mine. I didn't break eye contact with him. I felt everyone's eyes on me. Finally, he looked away and called the rest of the names. I wasn't concentrating on what he was saying. I looked up and saw Malfoy staring right at me. I glared at him which he returned with an innocent look.

"Mr. Malfoy and Ms. Attanment," Snape called. "Pay attention!"

I turned around and listened to Snape who was teaching about a sleeping potion.

Finally, the bell was heard and everyone accumulated their things and headed out.

"What do we have now?" I asked Hermione.

"Free period," she replied. "I'm off to the library; Harry and Ron are going to the common room so you can go with them."

I found Harry and Ron at the end of the hall and asked if I can join them.

"I don't know the way to the common room yet," I explained.

They turned around and nodded at me.

"Sure," said Harry.

"Snape wasn't that welcoming, was he?" Ron asked me.

"I don't mind," I said to Ron. "I'm not usually liked."

I saw Ron and Harry exchange confused looks.

"I mean, I don't get along that well with teachers…" I added quickly.

"Join the club," Ron said with a grin.

I grinned back for the first time and smiled to myself.

"Can I ask you how Malfoy knows you?" asked Harry suddenly.

My eyes opened in shock. Was I that obvious? If Malfoy found out that already people were beginning to get suspicious, I'd be sent back to Serena before I could say another word.

"Um, I met him once when I was a kid." I said hurriedly, praying they believed me.

"Oh. Well, you don't want to mess with him. His whole family is a bunch of Death Eaters," Harry said.

I was about to say I was brought up in a house full of Death Eater's, when I stopped myself at the last minute. I hated keeping everything inside, I felt like letting everything out about my past, my life, the torture and my real name! I was living a complete lie and I hated it!

"Don't worry," I reassured him. "He's not what you call a 'friend.'"

We reached the portrait of the Fat Lady and Harry gave the password. We walked in to an empty common room apart for the Gryffindor's in our year and sat in the armchairs.

"Yes!" Ron said cheerfully. "We've got it all to out selves."

"What class do we have next?" I asked Harry and Ron.

"One period of Defense against the Dark Arts-" Harry began.

"And then Lunch!" Ron finished.

"The food here is great," I said.

"Yes, especially the desert," Ron said and after a moment he added, "Lorly, your bleeding."

"What?" I asked him.

"On the top of your forehead," Harry said pointing to the brose on top of my left eye.

I reached up to touch it and sure, enough it was bleeding.

"Oh, no," I muttered annoyed. That brose was a specifically difficult one that was taking a long time to heal. I think I got it when Serena through me against the kitchen wall. "I'll go wash it with some water." I stood up and ran up to the bathroom of the girl's dormitory. I splashed water onto my face and rubbed the wound with my towel. I looked at my reflection in the mirror and sure enough, it had stopped bleeding.

When I returned to the common room I saw Harry and Ron deep in conversation but when they heard me, they immediately stopped talking.

"Are you alright?" Harry asked.

"I'll live," I said smiling.

After a moment of silence which I noticed that Harry was debating on something, opening and closing his mouth, he finally spoke.

"Lorly, how exactly did you get all those broses?" he asked slowly, his eyebrows furrowed.

It was the question which I had feared most of.
