Hi everyone, my name is Jenn and this is my 5th FF on SS. The idea for this one came to me from Khristina (moonchic07)

It's going to be Romance eventually. It's about the second generation and it's going to start off with them just going to school but it'll skip to either 6th or 7th year, I haven't decided yet. This was originally going to be a one shot, but once I started writing I found that I wasn't going to be able to fit it all in a one shot.

Disclaimer: The characters belong to JKR, other than the ones I will make up along the way.

This FF is for Khristina because D/HR never happened in the books, but who's to say some version of it won't happen.

And now here's Curiosity! Hope you all like it. And I'd love to know what you think

Curiousity sa-13+

Over the years I have heard stories from my dad and uncle about how much my mother loathed him. Nothing really ever seemed to go right. From my mom though, I heard stories about how she had forgiven him for the way he acted while they were in school. That now, from the last she had heard he married well, not like his father would have wished and now he has a little boy because he went against what he was brought up to do. Becoming a widow she says changed him. I never really asked her much more about that, it was just one of those stories that you heard as a child and never gave much thought to.

Dad says that I’m like my mother in so many ways, except for my hair, I have my aunt’s hair. It’s manageable is all he says. Mom says it’s a blessing, and that I should have seen her hair when she was my age.

Hugo got to go to school last year, and this year it’s my turn, though, I believe that I’m smart enough to have gone last year, I’m still excited about getting to go now. Lily is going with me, so at least I’ll know someone other than my cousins.

In the morning everything was rushed, and mom and dad didn’t think that we were going to get there on time. But when we finally did get there, we only had a few minutes to find the Potters and get on the train. Teddy had come to see us off too, not because of us though, it’s because it’s Victoire’s last year. Mom and dad pushed me onto the train and told me to write, and that they’d see me at Christmas.

Fighting out way through the corridor Lily and I followed Hugo and Albus to find a compartment. They said that it’s only going to happen this year, next year we’re on our own to find a compartment. James and his friend Kyle Abbott had helped them last year so they were only passing on the favour. In the end we found Luna’s son Lorcan sitting in the very last compartment and that’s where Hugo and Albus left us. The train ride passed fairly smoothly. We already knew Lorcan so he was easy to get along. Mom says he’s a bit like his mom but won't tell us if that’s a good or bad thing.

The trained pulled to a stop as we reached Hogwarts. There were lights everywhere; I couldn’t wait to get inside. Oh, I just hope that I get sorted into Gryffindor.

Neville told us all to wait outside in the hallway and he would be back for us in a few minutes. Everyone around me was whispering about what house they wanted to be in, and if they would be put in the same house as their parents. Finally Neville came back; mom told me I could call him Neville when there wasn’t anyone else but family around, but otherwise I’m supposed to call him Professor Longbottom. He smiled down at Lily and me and motioned for everyone to follow him into the Great Hall. I got separated from Lily and found myself walking beside a boy I didn’t know. He was looking in amazement at the ceiling.

‘It’s not really the ceiling, you know, it’s enchanted to look that way, I read it in Hogwarts a History,’ I told him quietly.

When we reached the front Neville pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket and told us all to be quiet and wait for our name to be called.

‘Abbott, Kevin,’ HUFFLEPUFF!

‘Bryans, Olivia,’ RAVENCLAW!

‘Davis, Khristina,’ SLYTHERIN!

And then names went on for awhile until, ‘Potter, Lily’ was called and I looked up hoping that I would be sorted into the same house as her.

‘GRYFFINDOR!’ the hat shouted.

After Lily, Lorcan was sorted into Ravenclaw and I went back to waiting patiently for my name to be called.

‘Weasley, Dominique’ GRYFFINDOR!

‘Weasley, Lucy,’ joined the Gryffindor table as well and I could hear all my cousins cheering.

‘Weasley, Rose!’

I was nervous as I walked up to sit on the stool that looked like it was going to break. As Neville placed the hat on my head I heard the hat inside my head saying, ‘How many Weasleys am I going to have to put in Gryffindor tonight?’

‘Just one more after me I thought,’ smiling to myself because I knew where I was going to be. As I heard the hat shout ‘GRYFFINDOR! I jumped down from the stool and went to take my place at the Gryffindor table. I waited for Roxanne Weasley to be sorted before I stopped paying attention and clapped with the rest of my house when she came to sit down beside me.

After everyone had been sorted and Neville had put away the stool, everyone’s attention turned once again to the front as Professor McGonagall stood up.

‘Eat up,’ was all she said and our plates were filled with food. The hall was filled with the sound of people grabbing their forks and reaching for the food that they wanted. The only other thing clearly from the night all those years ago that I was sorted was just before I left the Great Hall, I noticed a boy maybe a year older than me looking at me, his eyes filled with curiosity, and that is where my story really began.

Now that's a nice start, Jenn! I can tell I'm going to like this fic!

About the boy I'm not saying. But as for the Weasleys. Lucy is Percy and Audrey's daughter. Roxanne is George and Angelina's daughter daughter. Dominique is Bill and Fleur's daughter and Rpse is of course Ron and Hermione's daughter. And the other "Weasley" is Lily and she is of course Harry and Ginny's daughter.

If you go to JK Rowling's Offical Site and click on the eraser it will take to you to a door, click on the door handle and then on the paper with the dark mark lying on the table and it is a list of who everyone married and what the name of their children are.

Heyy everyone

Hopefully I'll have a post for you within the hour, if I dont though, I'll have one for you after 9..because we have to turn everything off for earth hour but I promise if for some weird reason I can't get a post up tonight I'll post tomorrow morning

I'll reply to your posts later, I don't have time right now, everything has to be shut off in about 8 minutes. I might have another post for you after this one tonight, or tomorrow because I've got all these ideas in my head that I want to get down before I forget them.

Chapter 2

SIX YEARS LATER

Coming from downstairs all I could hear was the sound of people running around yelling at each other about whether or not they had forgotten anything. I was still upstairs in my room making sure that I got all of my stuff so that I did not have to send home for any thing this year. I’m determined to not forget anything this year. If I don’t then this will be the first year since I started at Hogwarts that I have not forgotten anything. That however is not the real reason why I am taking so long to get ready this year. All last year I tried to get his attention but he never seems to notice me but, I have a good feeling about this year, something just tells me that he’ll finally acknowledge me.

Lily, James and Albus are all downstairs. Mom, dad and my aunt and uncle have found that it creates less hassle if we all go to Kings Cross Station together. No matter what they think, I have to disagree on this one with them. Just as I finished getting ready mom shouts up at me from downstairs.

‘ROSE! Hurry up or we’re going to be late.’

‘Coming,’ I said.

Making my way downstairs I realized that I had been holding everyone up. The ones that were still in the house were waiting at the door with impatient looks on their faces.

‘Sorry,’ I muttered as I made my way out the door. They all followed out me out the door and as soon everyone was in the car, we pulled out of the drive. I was finally on my way back to Hogwarts.

I love the feeling I get when I walk through the front doors of school every year. It’s a feeling of complete ease and at that moment, I always feel that nothing can go wrong for those few minutes.

Walking up to the doors with my best friend Khristina from Slytherin we’re talking about everything that happened over the summer and what we’re most looking forward to this year. Sometimes I wish that she was sorted into Gryffindor, then I’d get to see more of her, but I know that she loves Slytherin.

‘Any idea on what you are going to do about Scorpious?’ she asked me.

‘Nope, I guess it’s going to have to be one step at a time.’

‘And what’s your first step going to be?’

‘Getting him to notice me,’ I told her

‘Oh, I’m sure he notices you,’ she told me.

‘Ya, I guess, well then change of plans, the first step is now going to be getting him to talk to me. I’m past caring what he says to me, I really just want him to talk to me,’ I said.

‘I’ll have to talk to you about this later,’ she said as we reached the Great Hall.

‘Okay, see you at break tomorrow’

‘Ya, bye Rose,’ she said as she walked off in the opposite direction to join the Slytherin table.

Still thinking about Scorpious I went over to join my brothers and Lily at the Gryffindor table. During dinner, I kept getting the feeling that someone was watching me but every time I would turn around no one I knew would be looking my way. Lily just kept looking at me knowingly. Lily and Khristina are the only ones that know about my ‘crush’ on Scorpious.


A couple of weeks later I was heading the dungeons when I felt someone tap my shoulders. When I turned around no one was there. A week later, it happened again, and for the next two weeks after that as well. A month into the school year I had to send a letter home so I was almost up to the Owlery when someone tapped on my shoulder again. This time when I turned around, I came face to face with Scorpious.

‘Hi Rose,’ he said. At least that’s what I think he said he was speaking so quietly that it was hard to understand.

‘Hi,’ I replied stumped for words.

I stood there for a few more minutes and he didn’t say anything else so I turned back around and continued to walk up to the owlery.

‘Ilikou,’ he blurted out.

‘Sorry, I didn’t quite catch that, what did you say?’

I could see him steadying himself and taking a large breath before he said, ‘I like you.’

It was as if someone had put a body bind curse on me, I couldn’t move and I didn’t seem to be able to speak. He looked as if he was regretting that he had said anything and started to turn around. I don’t know where I got the courage to do anything but I reached out and touched his shoulder. When he turned back around to face me and looked into my eyes, I knew I didn’t have to tell him that the feeling was mutual; I just knew that he understood.

I didn’t really see much of him over the next few weeks. It would be considered weird for us to be seen together. One because of who our parents are and two because he is in Gryffindor.

For the next few weeks I would run into him at random. We had Defence Against the Dark Arts together because they had now mixed 6th and 7th years together in classes. If he came into class later than me when he walked past me to go sit down he’d whisper ‘I like you’ in my ear, the other times I would run into him were when I was doing my prefect duties. He’d come up behind me, tap on my shoulder and whisper ‘I like you’ walk past me and when he was half way down the hall turn around and give me a smile that I was coming to believe was reserved just for me.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ww *breaths* Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!

And Scorpius finally came out and told her, good for him, I'm so glad he did, they seem like such a nice couple, now they need to offically get together, lol.

So I'm really bored, and was writing and decided I'd post what I'd wrote so far. I hope you like it. There's more S/R in this post and Quidditch!! or Weasley Quidditch really

Chapter 3

I was finding that I didn’t have much time left for anything. Even with out OWLS or NEWTS 6th year is harder than I expected it would be. On top of school and my prefect duties, I was made Quidditch Captain this year because Kyle Wood graduated this year. It’s left me with a large reputation to live up to. Gryffindor has not lost the Quidditch cup since my uncle left school, with the exception of the year they did not come to school. Normally tryouts would have been held earlier but with everyone’s prefect duties no one has had time and I’d like the whole team to be there for the try out of finding a new chaser. Right now the team consists of; Hugo as Seeker, Dominique and her brother Louis as beaters, Jessica Wood and myself as Chasers and Lily as Seeker. It’s more so a Weasley Quidditch team than it is a Gryffindor team. Albus is the only one in the family that isn’t interested in the sport and the rest, well, they like it, but they’ve either left school or aren’t very good.

Tryouts took a long time this year, it was raining and none of the team was very happy with the people that tried out, and in the end, I ended up settling on a second year named Adam Creevy to fill the vacant chaser spot.

After everyone had headed back to castle, I made sure everything was put back where it was supposed to be and headed back to the castle caked in mud. When I was almost to the courtyard, I felt a hand on my shoulder, harder than normal as I was pulled off behind the wall in the dark. My instincts told me to scream but just as I opened my mouth to scream I hand came up over my mouth preventing me from making a sound.

‘Shhhh, it’s ok, it’s only me, please don’t scream Rose,’ I heard a deep calming voice whisper in my ear.

I couldn’t say anything so I nodded my head and he lifted his hand away from my mouth.

‘Sorry if I scared you,’ he continued, ‘I just wanted to see you, but you know how people will talk if they saw you with me. I can’t stand only being able to walk past you and whisper to you anymore. It’s really hard not to walk past you and grab your hand you know.’

‘I know,’ I said, sadness tinting my voice.

‘Will you meet me in Hogsmeade in two weeks?’

‘Yes, where?’

‘Hogs Head maybe? That way it’s out of the way,’ he said.

‘Okay,’ I said smiling although I knew he couldn’t see me. Taking his hand I squeezed it gently before turning to head back to Gryffindor Tower so I could take a shower. After I let go he grabbed my arm softly to stop me and kissed my cheek gently.
‘You may want to wash your hand off,’ was the last thing I said to him before I gave him a smile and walked towards the castle.

Ok I know I said I was done in the last post but.

Scorpius kissed her, Scorpius kissed!! Yay!!! And they have their fisrt date, I'm so excited!!! I sure do hope things turn out great for them.

Hehe, Weasley Quidditch, that's funny. Let me guess, Adam Creevey is Denise Creevey's son? Am I right, huh huh?

Honestly I'm gone for a week and you post two more chapters!! I should go away more often!!! I love the idea of Rose and Scorpius together and the Weasley Quidditch Team is brilliant especially since it is a continuation of Harry, Ron, and Ginny's legacy.
