I agree with Linda. Her role in Conversations with Other Women was just amazing. I think that her role in that film was pretty easy for her because that is pretty much her personality. Maybe a little more ... zany, but a lot like her character.

discussion: I've only seen her in a few things. I quite enjoy her as Mrs. Lovett and Bellatrix, but I can't imagine her much like either. Except for the fact she was totally committed to the thing she identified with.

I wonder what Helena's most challenging role was, she has certainly done some very demanding and unusuall characters. It might be fun to speculate on this issue a little more and see which of the many roles she has played would be considered the most challenging. Mrs. Lovett is possible, simply because she had to do so much singing for that particular role. I would think that would be really hard!
