I think the new Dumbledor's doing an amazing job! Especially with the later movies coming up, where he's got to be a bit more active, the old one may have had some difficulty with that.

I've seen PoA before I saw PS and CoS. And I prefer the new Dumbledore, though. He's a good actor indeed. (in my opinion only)

I love both actors. They both did and do a great job in the Harry Potter movies.

To be honest I didnt really notice in the beginning, and when I realized it I think that this Dumbledore is by far better than the one in part 1 and 2.

He seems way too rough for Dumbledore. He's stated many times that he hasn't read the books and doesn't plan to, which explains the very off view on him. Although the original had the softer side down, I can't see him in the Half-Blood Prince fighting off the Inferi.

The first time I saw PoA I didn't notice him, but once I got a little older and saw GoF the difference was obvious.

I do love Gambon as an actor - he is undeniably talented. I do, however, wish he stopped playing Dumbledore as an angry old man, which he isn't. There is no sign of the sweet, cheerful Dumbledore we saw with the Richard Harris portrayal. Gambon will be a lot better in the more 'active' scenes.

I am not really that fond of Michael Gambon as Dumbledore. I mean, he's a great actor, but he didn't have Dumbledore's air, and I just don't think he'll be the best Dumbledore. I think he'll be the best Dumbledore to his own ability.

I liked the old Dumbledore he was nicer.

I think Gambon does a good job, I only have two complaints really. 1) He doesnt wear the "half moon glasses" in all the movies. its a small complaint but it's something that always bugs me whenever I've seen HBP. 2) how he acts in GOF. Sure he's in character in POA, OOTP and HBC, but he seemed REALLY off in GOF. I mean he gets really angry and also some of the things he said were completely different from what book Dumbledore said.

I don't like him at all. Richard Harris was so awesome! And then Gambon comes along, and he tries to copy Harris but fails, and it just really, really annoys me.

I preffer Gambon more dinamic, Harris is ok for the first 2 films but he was too old and can't imagine him fighting Voldemort or in the cave.

he's not the dumbledore of the books, but he's pretty awesome

I love them both, they both did great. But I think I'd have to go with Michael.
