Have you always wanted to discuss a topic about Lily Potter? Then you've come to the right place. Here is were you can sign up for a discussion. What you need to do is post the topic you want to discuss in this thread and define it clearly. One of the presidents will edit your post with a date to start your topic or some comments about your topic, so please do check your post regularly for updates.

Topic 2: Lily and Snape

Well i think that Lily hated James in the begining... because he was always fooling aroudn and cursing people... but with the years.. she fell in love with him...(maybe even from the first instant she lay eyes on him...but not like compleatly in love because she denied it). She may have fallen in love with his childish ways and him cursing people and messing up his hair... but she usually denied it...but we are all happy that in the end she accepted the fact that she was head over heals for Jamsie-boy. Love for Lily and James !!!

This topic is mighty close to the first...

Topic: Lily and Snape

A relationship, or at least a mutual (or one sided affection) between Lily and Snape has become more of a possibility as the books have gone on. There are many fans, of which I am one, who think that this possible relationship may play a part in the seventh, and final, book. Some people even suggest that this may be why Snape hates Harry (he’s James’s son, and not his) but also while he tries to protect him (he’s also Lily’s son). Some have even suggested that the shared love interest is the real reason for the rivalry between James Potter and Severus Snape. Did Lily really like Snape, or vice versa? Was there more to Lily and Snape then first meets the eye?

I think it would be interesting to see what the LPFC could and would come up with on this somewhat loaded topic, but maybe I’m just weird . Just a thought…

It seemed to me that Lily and James's relationship was an impending crush, where they seem almost fated to be together. I know my self that sometimes in "impending" crushes the girl or guy pretends not to like the other person. And who knows it might be something like a Freudian Slip, where they were fighting and Lily/James yelled "I LOVE YOU" instead of "I Hate You". (this kind of thing does happen, studied them in Psychology this past semester). I also think that Lily and James's actions somewhat mirror that of both Ron and Hermiones, and Harry and Ginny's. In Ron and Hermione's case its the constant fighting and bickering, which Lily and James had from the start. And in Harry and Ginny's case, its the flip of Lily and James's, this being that Harry didn't know he had feelings for Ginny or didn't develop them until he was nearly in 7th year, and its also the mirror image because James liked Lily for a long time, and Ginny in this case like Harry for a long while (since first year).
