Many won't like it... but you can't please everybody and I for one am still a huge HP fan if not an even bigger one! Neither can I! I was so depressed, i'm rereading and also listening to the audiobook on my iPod. It's my tied favorite with book 3, but book 4 is a close second. I liked this one way better than the fifth, he's finally chilled out a little. I really liked it! Though certain ships won't think so!

^That's a bit of a spoiler, given your signature, don't you think?
i thought it was absolutely horrible.. Harry's character seemed so.. emotionless. i wont say anything more here. But I seriously think it was the worst book in the series. Lack of plot until the end was killing me. The death was horrifying. Talk about the worst way to go. <33jess

I thought it was a very good book, indeed it did have some flaws. But I liked it.

it was marvellous but i dnt think it was the best yet because this book was sad and we have come to know and enjoy hp because it was fun and all...but i think the end was needed otherwise the series would not have gone further...now with the ending of the 6th book, the 7th book will be even more eagerly awaited...i cant!

What a book! Not only was it great. It is also very sad. Love was surely in the air. But I have a lot of hate for Snape. I cannot wait for the next book. I am now imagining what could happen in the next book.

| I liked it a lot, even though the death has made me feel horrible. I actually cried and I don't mean teary eyed I mean full on tears. I felt like I was watching it happen in my mind.....I was so shocked. I liked the romance in the book it was soo funny I just feel bad because I wasn't exactly going for 'those' couples but JK made it seem like it was so right (and I guess I knew deep down it was bound to happen). All in all it was a great read, probably after I finish re-reading it again it will become my favorite book. I just feel kinda sad because now there is only one book left and then it will all be over. |

I wasn't too upset. The death was necessary for Harry's character to grow. We all die.
But I loved reading more about the history of Riddle. I also loved how the suspense of finding out who the HBP was enough to make me want to pee myself.

I can't decide whether it's my favorite of the series or not, as GoF is neck and neck for me. As for the ending...Man...It left me cheeks a bit wet. All in all, this book more than met my expectations, and I absolutely cannot wait for the last one, although I don't know what I'll do when there's no more Potter.

Half-Blood Prince is my second fav. I'll probably be third when Book 7 comes out and takes the Number one spot.
Anyone else notice the numerous usage of the words, "threshold" and "surreptitiously"

I thought it was an ok book. Some parts I really loved, but other parts of it seemed like a bad fanfic to me, especially some of the relationship parts. I don't know why...
