| OMG!!!! I cannot believe that the person who kills the other character did that!! I soooooooooooooooo wanted Snape to become good!! boo hoo!!
But, I had a feeling that the character who died knew he was going to die. I think that Harry has definetly grown up a lot in this book and that Ron has too. I think that overall HBP was really good although a lot more serious than any of the other books in the series, there wasn;t much laughter and jokes.
But, I loved it anyway. There was a lot more deaths as well, with people going missing, getting attacked etc, I really thought there would be another showdown between Harry and Voldemort, since he has come back.
I couldn't believe that the Half Blood Prince was Snape, OMG!! I thought he was pure blood, since he was a death eater and everything.
Overall, brilliant!! |

| I had no spoilers for the book, just a long list of who the HBP wasn't. I had no clue and am still shocked about it. BUt I didn't like spoliers, so I won't ruin it for anyone else. Great book though! |

I liked Draco more and more in that one because he was much more inportant then the other books and you see more of him. though the fith book is still my favorite book in the sireis.

Two things that shocked me were the death (I knew it was coming at some point but now...too soon for me *tear*) and the HBP because it was exactly who I suspected it to be but for completely different reasons than I thought.
I liked the shippings. The one I'm shipping is finally happening although I wish it did actually happen I need more than just book 7 of this ship. I know some will agree.
This book definitely had a lot of information, but a lot of the stuff on the list on Mugglenet of the things we knew we'd find out wasn't actually told in this book. So that was kind of disappointing because I was looking forward to it but I'm sure the 7th book will tell us about it all.
I liked that she added a lot of funny moments because it lightened up the book a bit. This one is definitely my second favorite, right behind POA.
I know there was more I wanted to say but I can't seem to remember. I do wish this book was a bit longer.

Dumbeldore is stupid.

| It was so rich and fufilling but bittersweet. I felt like Mj in spiderman 1 as the hero takes off into the sunset u are left behind wondering where are they going!>? It was a ride.
I'm so glad people don't give away things ( sarcastic tone) But thank godness I took the book home and read it without lifting a paper, opening another book, turning on the tv or computer, or it would have been ruined. I Loved the book but GOF will always be my fav. go Quidditch world cup! |

Second | As much as I enjoyed HBP, it's still not quiet as good as GoF in my opinion. I don't know what it is about GoF that's so unbeatable, but every time I read it I get so excited!!
I'm glad Jo decided to tie up so of the loose ends in HBP, a lot of my questions have been answered, but unfortunatly it's raised a load more that need answering!! |

| | | Having read and re-read all books - 1 through 5 numerous times (they are all equally good imo), I intentionally waited to purchase book 6 until I had read two weeks worth of "spoilers" on various HP sites.
I decided to take this approach with HBP because I guessed for months (year?) that DD was going to die and I guessed Snape was the HBP. Once I realized I had figured it out by reading the spoilers first, I figured I would have a more objective viewpoint of the HBP as a whole and how it related to the previous 5 books.
The most prominent change I feel in JKR's structure is what changed the whole "feeling" of book 6 was the first 2 chapters. No matter what "spoilers" I had read, they had not prepared me for the "tone" she set from the very beginning....very different from all the others. I knew then that book would be very different. And so it was. I believe that she wrote this book in a totally different "mood" from all the others - knowing - what the last 2 chapters held (and book 7).
Even knowing the "spoilers" when I did read the final chapters I had to stop, wipe tears, read, stop, wipe tears over and over. Not for the death (?) of DD, but for the end of this fantastic, mesmorizing tale. No matter what "tone" JKR set with this book, she still had the power (gift) of words and expressions to impart to the reader her feelings....she is in this book beginning to let go of her "Harry". That is the true sadness in this book, I am realizing (as I'm sure many are) that I will eventually and finally have to let go of Harry.

| | | it's impressive. kids are teens now, their personality changes are very realistic, especially for Harry. all plot is so exciting. in addition, I was always curious about the world with Voldemort. now I know, and it's frightening. I'll read this book again and again, just like the previous ones. I really love JKR!!! | |

| I loved this book and it's my favorite out of all the books now. I just really liked that we learned a lot of information in this book and all the romance. But i was shocked at the death but this is still my all-time favorite book in the series. I just can't wait for the 7th!!! |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Silvie Sherwood Seventh | I ADORED the book, even though my favorite is the 5th. one... I liked the romance between Harry and u know who (That sounded like Voldy and Harry hehe!), but I still don't like her... I think my Harry deserves a better, cuter girl... The death left me in denial for days! I still can't believe it... Anyways! I can't wait 4 questions to be answered in book 7!!! |

| | | Personally, I think it's the worst in the series. Not because Dumbledore died, thought. The firt two chapters were excellent, but for me everything was 'on the same line'. Snoging, snoginga and snoging, bleh, haha! -Well, thats only my opinion, bit I think there could have been more action. | |
