I did not read any spoilers before reading the book. I waited too long to actually read it myself to have it spoiled for me.

I admit I hate spoilers but if I find out I won't be upset. I admit though on the night of the release I read the sleeves while waiting in line to pay for my book and opened the page where it said who died! My guess was right ... I wasn't upset I just didn't know how the individual died that I wanted to be a surprise. But yes the chapter titles kinda give it away as does the end of the Order of the Phoenix. I thought so at least.

I kept away from everything but alas, got wind of the character death. I have to say I nearly didn't want to read the book I was so angry (I have a problem with her writing in a death every flippin book, I mean come on woman let the grim reaper have a vacation once in a while!). However, I'm glad I read the book because it's the journey not the destination...or something like that.

I cant help but to read spoilers ... I guess I'm just weird like that ...but thats alright ..

I had it ruined for my by one of my closest friends. >.< argh.

The death was spoiled for me. I was telling this one girl I know, mind she's not a friend, waht chapter I was on at the time which was "After the Burial". And she says "Whose? Dumbledore's?" I was so upset. She just blurted it right out. I could've killed her. I told you she wasn't a friend. Or at least isn't anymore!

i wouldnt mind too much i guess, i havent read any of the books; ive just seen the first three movies

i wouldn't care if i read the spoilers because i already read the book so they are just telling me thing that i already knew

Spoilers are rubbish. Just complete rubbish. It killed me everyday that I didn't have HBP, which wasn't very lond mind you, not to read them and spoil the story. They are horribly tempting but they aren't worth the temptation at all either. Hearing someone's interpertation of the story before I read it would be completely idiotic since I'd probably not agree once I'd read the story anyway.
Well hey, If you want to soil up the story for yourself, then I guess you can read them. It's completely up to the individual in question.

I said it and I repeat it, I hate spoilers. When the HBP was announced to be released, I stopped logging in to Harry Potter websites. I knew that there were going to be ideas, hypotheses and discussions. The book was released, I bought it, read it and finally I looked the HP websites. Its just that I love the excitement of reading page after page and finding out the plot as it is supposed to be. But it is quite different with the movies. I love to see trailers and advances of the movies. I already know what the movie is going to be about, but I can't wait to see the images. Anyway, we have to respect other's opinions, right?

If a person buys the book he expects to read it and find out.... otherwise he would just wait and ask those who have read and finished to tell him everything about it.... a true fan of Harry Potter always waits in good time.... and enjoys what he has waited for....

Never ruin something you long for quickly... Take time and enjoy what you longed for...

I do not like spoilers, but it's so hard when the plot line is within your fingertips!!!

I went out of my way to stay away from information about a month before because I accidentally stumbled on DD's fate and didn't want anythign else ruined. For book 7, I will probably stay away from HP sites for two months prior to the release.

I tried to stay away from them, but then the local t.v. station said something about one of the main characters being killed..... so I knew it was coming I just didn't know who.....

I like to read the reviews before reading the book. Don't want to know tooooo much, just some of the little stuff to get you wanting more.

I only got my copy brought across fromm Negland, but many people unwittingly ruined it all for me... I haven't read much, now. It's just not that interesting after it.
