I think I remember her saying in some interview... maybe Oprah? That she was probably going to make an encyclopedia of some sort. And I hope there will be a Harry Potter 8 but I highly doubt it. She said that she probably wouldn't write another, unfortunately. :/

she did say that but as u I dont remember where she said it..but she is making like a encyclopedia of Harry Potter books..Because there is one out there that isnt registered or traidmarked by her...So she wants to make one that she knows has all the facts in it for all the fans an the ones that are just starting out watching and reading Harry Potter series...

I heard she was writing more than one thing at the same time. She isn't rushing with anything because she want's it perfect.

Whatever she writes I'll buy it. She writes a kids book about pigs and chickens at a farm, I'd buy it. No matter what.

I hope its something like the encyclopedia or anything on the Potter world, I think its fantastic!! I can't get enough and im a grown woman!!. When the books first came out I had no kids, Ive scince had a boy whos 7 now and Ive passed my love for harry potter over to him. I know he would love something else about that world,xx

I think It might be an encyclopedia. It would be so big!! It would also be intresting to see J.K write about fiction in a non-fiction way (if any anyone understands me) I don't think It should be Harry Potter 8, as everything is over now (You-know-who is dead etc...) and she wouldnt have much to write about. I think J.K might want a break from HP and write something different now, because she can.

I hope she writes more books about the Wizarding World, but not about Hogwarts or Harry, something different.

When they interviewed the woman from Leaky during the MTV coverage of the HP Exhibition in New York City, she said that JK was working on the encyclopedia. It would be great to have it come out right after DH2 was released.

I don't think there will be an HP 8 cause she told Dan he'd never have to play Harry again. But I'd love to see the Marauder's story with Snape's story thrown in too. I could see the ending of the Marauder's story being Voldemort walking up to the Potter's house in Godric's Hollow, he puts his hand on the doorknob then it says-The beginning...

Harry Potter 8 as handbook on table

I guess Harry Potter part 8 would be great. This time not about Harry or Voldermort. It must be about Harry's kids or Ron's kids at Hogwarts. This must be about their adventures in Hogwarts.

i really hope she does write something harry potter related book again, i like the idea of a prequal that would be awsome, it would also awnser a few questions. writning from the perspective of james, wormtail, sirius and lupin would be good as well. i also like the idea of writing from what happens after the fianl battle although i don't wthi it would be as good because voldemort is dead and the storys are based on killing him and how harry goes through school.

as much as i love harry potter i think it is better leaving it with unanswerd question.

if she does write anything else i think it will be something else as she would want to explore other genres :-)

You do know that she wouldn't be able to write about him being 18/19 because the epilogue in book seven is NINETEEN years later?!

Though I think she'll write about the marauders, or something pre-hogwarts. Though I think she said she's doing the encyclopedia.
And she might do Dumbledore's full story, or snape's I dunno. Or maybe even Hogwarts, a history. haha I don't know, that'd be cool. Or even a book through Draco's eyes. Anywayyyy.

I'd like to see Harry Potter 8, the lives of Harry, Hermione and Ron after Hogwarts and the War. But HP Enclycopedia would be epic too.
