Also, someone said the 'snitches caught' was one of the surprises SS has for us... not yet revealed.... hmmmm? |

| I like how much faster this is, but I miss the old SS. I also don't like how you can only have avatars that are 80x80. Nice job, though. |

| I see a lot of people saying that they pretty much dislike SS now. I ask you this. Say you were building a house. A new house. All there was, is an empty block of land, with the exception of the cement foundations, with stacks of bricks over there, and other miscellaneous building equipment. Do you like your house? No, you wouldn't.
After the house was built, the walls were up, the windows put in, a roof over it. It looked a bit better, didn't it? But you don't like it yet, the floors are concrete and the walls are bare. Then you get floor treatment, paint the walls, add furniture and other things you would like to put in your house. Now do you like it? Yes, you do.
SS now, is like a new house. This is it's third house. The server, is like the block of land. Then we put the concrete foundations, and begin to work on the house. Instead of a house by Invision Power Board, we decided to use vBulletin. Of course the toilet isn't going to be there like it was before, and the dining room isn't going to be there like it was before, because it's different.
For me, I see the house with the concrete floor, and bare walls. There's a roof of course, Snape, Lupin, Harry and the Hippogriff are sitting on the roof. The windows are being put in, but the place hasn't been locked up to prevent mischief yet. But it will be soon. Then we'll get floor treatment, paint the walls, add furniture, and other homely things.
Then you will like SS. You will be used to vBulletin, and perhaps by then you will realize how silly you've been by doubting us and saying you dislike SS. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is SS. We moved server, and we moved forum software in the best interests of everyone here.
We wanted to make your time here at SS better than it was before. Give us time, give us a chance, and don't doubt us. This is only the beginning. I do wonder though, for some of you, if this is how you react to change for everything. Because change happens. You can't avoid it, you have to learn to get used to it. Sometimes it is for the better.
This change, is for the better, believe it or not. I know some people might read this and think, "What the Heck is she going on about? Who let her escape the psychiatric hospital with all this house BS?". I use a house as an example, because for most of us, SS is like a home for us. And our home has moved to a bigger block of land, and a better house. Plus because that's how I see it.
You may have lost posts, your signature, the ability to have 100x100 avatars. For posts, if you got to a certain number before, you can do it again. You know you can, because you've done it before. Your signature, well you would change it eventually, wouldn't you? And it's the same with the posts, you've done it before, you can do it again.
The avatars, they were previously 80x80 for a while. Nobody complained, because they were used to it. Sure, you can fit a lot more in 100x100, and making 80x60 ones may seem like a waste of time, but at least you have the option of having an avatar. I'm sure we could easily take away the option of having avatars. Then that wouldn't be fun at all, would it?
Be grateful for what you have, give us time, give us a chance, and don't doubt us. If everyone during the history of SS didn't, it might not be here today. We need your support, and your positivity. Dumbledore and Mr. Squally spent hours trying to get SS up and running as soon as they could, without loss of anything. I don't think they got much sleep during that week.
They did this for YOU. Not just themselves, but YOU. I speak you as everyone here, and those who read this post. Dumbledore and Mr. Squally didn't have to do this, they could've just let you suffer with a slow server and forum software which isn't as good as vBulletin. But they did.
Please. Give us your support, your positivity, some time, a chance, and don't doubt. And a big "Thank You" to Dumbledore and Mr. Squally. I know you may be giving us your opinion, but I'm sure some of you could be a bit more positive with your opinion. Things at SS can only get better now, so long as you give us those few things. It's not asking much at all.
That's my opinion on things, you can agree with it, or disagree with it. It's not up to me, it's up to you what you decide to do. I just hope you understand where I'm coming from. |

| We appreciate what the SS team has done to make the site better...it's faster...and I'm getting more used to it everyday. Change is always hard, but in the long run it's always for the good... I'm intrigued about that snitch thing...any clues about it, please? here's icecream for the team who made SS possible...cheers, guys! |

| New "Classic" style available Ok, for all of you who miss the old SS purples, pinks, blues and other bright colors, go down to the bottom of the page and select "SS Classic" from the style selector.
Let me know what you think!
(More styles on the way...) |

| It's kind of amazing how fast I got used to the new look of the site. Now that I've tried changing to SS classic, it feels weird... So I'm going back to the green colors, I love them! |

| Yeah! SS Classic rules!
I think you should make some layout based on house colours...and try some really bold stuff, like purple and red, and then a really toned-down one, like in pastel colours.
Thanks!
PS:How can I have a private word with you? |
