Well I Like It I Barely Caught The New Features And I Am Wayyyyy Behind On My Posts And What W/Snitch Caught??

even though I have not been here long the new layout seems pretty easy to follow *thumbs up*

the old ss was a little better than this. but..its still pretty cool. everyone just has to get used to the changes.

Its pretty good but i agree with a lot of other people, i liked the other one better but i am getting used to this one now i just cant access the map

I'm going to wait until it's all up and running, with the frontpage etc, til I make a judgement. But I'm liking it more everytime I log in. There are loads of advantages of this server and it's lovely that it runs so fast.

SS could never be dull, but it's nice to have a fresh start with things like 'Snitches caught' etc.

I still miss the old SS but this one looks like it's going to be much better when it's finished. =]

I'm sure once the whole site is up and running, it will be great. It will just take some time to get used to the new layout. It is MUCH faster than the old SS and I always had trouble with pages not loading. I haven't encountered any problems yet!

i really miss the old layout but am loving the speed, its cos it took a while to learn the old layout, but i guess im getting used to it,

i like the green light on the person to see if there in line, i think thats a cool idea, but let me get used to it and il be ok again,

oh and im a bit wooked about my siggie disappearing , will it come back?

I don't like that they don't give you the little icons so you can post pics on your posts. Tha really sux, and I can't use my old avvie!!! I love the smilies tho! lol!

I really like it, but, I do miss the drop down menu for the forums... Oh well though

You can still post pics in your posts, and now it's even easier than before!

Plus there are loads more cool icons and buttons when posting that let you do lots of stuff better, faster, adn easier than before.

If you don't see these options, either you are just posting "quick reply" (the small box at the bottom fo each page in a topic), or your personal settings are set to only use a simple text-box when posting (iinstead of the WYSIWYG editor or htlp buttons). To set it in your profile to show all icons and buttons, go to USER CP > EDIT OPTIONS and scroll down to where it asks you what options you would like to see when posting.

As for the avatar, you are allowed to have an avatar up to 100x100 and 15 or 16 kb.

That is plenty big enough for simply animations or a nice attractive static avatar.

The only thing we are disallowing is medium and large (heavy) animations that make the pages slower to load.

This is better for everybody. Really it is.

I should never have included a link on that map icon - at least not until the actual page is ready! :oops:

But I promise to get on that as soon as I can. First, we need to get the front page, side blocks and gllaery back up. Then the map and other thigns will come.

One thing's for sure: The map feature will RULE!!!

You guys all really need to have faith in us. (I know, some of you do, and that's great!)

I promise you all that the changes that are coming here are going to blow the old SS completely out of the water. (You'll look like this guy -> ) I think most of you will want to take back what you voted here, but maybe we'll just start another poll when the changes are complete.

I've never even posted before so can't really comment on how that goes..err..much preferred the old layout, although I've just read that there's still more to be done.

Hey, just so you know... I'm loving the new color scheme... not depressed anymore with the green... it's bright again!!! WooHoo!!! Thanks again for that!

School is working great... once you familiarize yourself with where things are it gets easy to move around! (Love quicklinks!) And I never saw the map...and it's exciting to know there is more to come besides the opening page and left bar and.... you tell us! Will house points be up too?

And I would change my vote even now with a new poll! Great job! Those who are just coming back definetly should give it a chance... cause things can only get better! :sorcerer:

They asked for opinions... and actually made changes because of them! I think Dumbledore has responded well to all complaints... and I really think there are more kudos now anyway!

lol i have to admit though at first it was a lot to get used to i mean this is really diffrent from SS and as it has been said before. people dont like change!
