My short review:
I absolutely LOVED it. I loved every minute of each of the 16 hours reading it. (Yes, I am a slow reader.)
Everything was answered. All the characters were attended to. Nothing was forgotten or left out. I was amazed how well she wound up the whole series!
Favorite parts: - Chapter 33. I cried through the whole chapter. I usually don't cry! I didn't for the death of Dumbledore or Sirius, but for this, I couldn't stop. And each time the character was mentioned after this chapter I nearly choked up.
- How Bella was dealt with.
- Hagrid
- The twins
- Luna and her father. But mostly Luna.
- What we learn about Dumbledore
- The Malfoys
- Neville!!
I can't wait to read it again.
I loved it much, much more than I thought I would. Honest. After the OotP film (which I did NOT like at all) I was very nervous about this. Now, I have just decided that the books are the books, and the movies are... something else. I don't have to like them for the books to be great! |

I LOVED the book but to me it seemed like there wasn't a closing feeling to the series so (for now) I'm refusing to belive that there won't be something more.
and I eithermissed what happend to 3 people or they weren't mentioned after the firstfew chapters, I kinda wanted to know what happened to them.

I Loovved it!!!!!!!! I thought it was a bit confusing at times but not enough to bother anyone. It was the best one, in my opinion. I do hope she releases another book. That would be Soooooo great. It really showed that everyone is not perfect, but that it is only human to be flawed and it is okay.J.K Rowling really outdid herself this time. It was Perfect.

- MRS WEASLEY IN THE LAST CHAPTERS
- DUMBLEDORE FAMILY KNOWLEDGE
- FRED AND GEORGE
- LUPIN AND TONKS

Robin Chargrin Accidents & Catastrophes | I agree with JK when she said this was her favourite book in the series. I thought that she really outdid herself. The book answered all but one of my questions and showed us that everyone - even those characters we don't like - can touch us. At the end of Chapter Thirty - One I cried and cried. And ever since then whenever I think about it I feel sad all over again. The way she treated the Harry - Dumbledore relationship was brilliant and showed me that no one is perfect. All in all I'm very satisfied.

I was surprised that a few characters died, espeically..._____ I think his secret name was. Poor guy....we'll miss him *tear* I knew, even before the book was published (actually when HBP was published) that...uh...____ would die. I don't know why, but it was a gut feeling. I cryed at the end, when he was going into the woods and he had the ____ Stone. No need to say more. Best book!! Ever! Period.

Daisy Novak | DH really was "the best" in the series. I can't go into specifics here because, as Dumbledore has advised, we shouldn't discuss spoilers {and I'm not the kind of person who can just say "I liked Harry in this book" - I have explain if I mention it at all! lol}, but it was truly fantastic. It was beautifully written, captivating, intriguing, and it all made sense. I'll never be comfortable with the fact that certain people died or how certain plot points were carried out, but JKR can't please everyone - she wrote DH how she knew it had to end, and the book was perfect in every way. Wonderful! |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Xylina Samuels Second Year Special Ops | I thought the book was absoloutely fantastic! I loved the way that there were refrences to other books in it, and I was shocked by many of the deaths, frankly, because I expected very few of them.
I couldn't stop crying right near the end, when we got into the forest, and it took me about an hour before I could read the rest of it through my tears. Never before has a book made me cry, (and I've read hundreds, it seems) so I have just gotta thank Jo for writing such a good book.

I loved this book!
i reckon that it was the best book in the series, but the only things that for me weren't cleared up (i probably just missed it) were the voices heard from the veil in dep. of mysteries (OoTP) and also how _____ isn't surprised or shocked to see harry, ron, hermione at Shells Cottage after they hadn't been seen by anyone or sent word to anyone of their being there. Only those at Shell Cottage knew.

Wow.
It's over.
Deaths of many did not go to waste, right?
Harry was fantastic.
JK Rowling put the character of Harry in us... We followed the books from the beginning and she took us in a great journey, she truly is a magical writer.
As I read the book, I felt like I was Harry... when he felt fooled by Dumbledore at one chapter... I felt the same, that I was fooled too by Dumbledore and was hurt same as Harry... And at _____'s revealing tale... I was ashamed to think he was what I thought he was in the previous books, as Harry did feel in some way... Even when Harry said the Taboo after tuning in the wireless that they got into trouble, I wanted to see Harry face to face and punch him on the nose for being so thick... yet, the plot needed to happen... I realized that when they rescued a lot of prisoners... Oh, yeah, JK really did a great job. She made us part of the books and the books are really part of us regardless of whatever lineage we are from. The denial is impossible...
I could go on and on about the great characters, the unbelievable plots, the unimaginable creations of the ideas in the book...
But one thing is for sure, the epilogue of the story meant a new beginning and I loved the idea of _____'s replica... of being unsure of where he will be sorted...
We were left hanging to make our own story, to make our own discussions, to make our own arguments, to have our own inspiration... JK Rowling left us a treasure that we will still talk about for years or possibly decades...
Clever clever...
Well, HP will never die. I am sure. Because the fanfictions will never let it die.
Thank you, JK Rowling. Your story taught the world that choosing will always be the next step to a better one.
We can find truth even in children's books. It is truly MAGIC.

this was by far my favorite harry potter as well. i laughed out loud, kicked my feet when something exciting was happening, got worried that some plans might not work and cried. i agree that there were no loose ends, i think that everything was wrapped into a nice little package. i have no questions and i won't change a darn thing. when i finished i held the book to my chest for about 15 minutes and just smiled. it was a wonderful end and im not quite sure how any others could follow.

At first I was a tad shocked of many of the deaths that happened rather quickly and unbelievingly.
I loved the couples and the kids names.

I thought it was a great book...chapters 32 and 33 had me crying for many many minutes and it took me a while to get the courage to continue reading...but i loved all the detail, the plot twists and the background information on Dumbledore which probably gives us the reason why he believes in second chances so much.
