Default the worst of all the movies

the movie was alright but completely disapointing
yes it was the longest book so they had to cut out stuff, thats understandable
but it was the longest book and the shortest movie? whats that all about?
i personally did not like the montages of the newspaper headings and clips of the interviews with the ministry and umbridge, it was too fast and didn't seem explanatory
i honestly dont understand how someone who hasn't read the books could follow along
im looking forward to the next one just because its harry potter and its amazing
but the direction of OOTP was disapointing, i guess thats good because my hopes wont be too high for HBP

ps.
i think the acting, mostly of daniel radcliffe , is getting worse and worse as the movies go
dumbledore by the way is way worse than the original , hes way too rough and loud and active for his age, he should act more old and wise and appropriate to the character

pps.
im REALLY hoping the DH gets made into two movies(yn)

I think OotP was brilliant! ;P I regret that there wasn't for example Neville's parents, but anyway it was great! ;D

I think it was a great movie but a little scary in the ending part where he sees voldemorts reflection in the mirror.

When I first watched it, I didn't really like it.
But then I watched it again and it really grew on me.
Evanna Lynch was the highlight, but they cut out so much.
Where were the brains?! Quidditch...Kreacher.[I know they showed him, but it was hardly notable] . . . Mrs Black...The actual plot of how Sirius died. >_>
damn.

actually...I did not hink the movie was really that good. They cut SO MUCH from the books. It was ok, but it could have been WAY better.

I actually liked the movie, but I keep saying the books are way better.
Like when It's the scene with the Marauders...
Omg that was kind of a disaster, it went so quik and I don't think people who haven't read the book understand it at all.

I thought the movie was okay when i first saw it.
when I watched it over and over and over again.... it started to grow on me.

I just wish that they would have made Umbridge more of a toad-like character. She reminded me of an overly mean Grandma... instead of a toad-like wench that she was in the book.
she still played the part good.... b/c I still didnt like Umbridge-- but the fact that she didnt really look the part... was kind of disappointing.

but the Cho/Harry scene... just made my eyes even MORE glued to the screen then they already were.
when I read it in the book... i just smiled to myself.
I will always want Harry and Ginny to be together-- but just that scene... was just to romantic for words.

Well, I don't think they got all the important scenes in the movie, as they have in the books. And it is the longest book, but the shortest movie? That dosen't make sense..

Default I loved OotP

Overall I loved the movie. I especially liked the parts with Bellatrix, and when they were fighting Voldemort. It was not as good as the book, though.

i think they did the best they could with this film as it's the longest and probably the most complicated book
it was good to see dumbledore's army all together
the ministry was incredible-and i just LOVED mr weasley on the tube!
but the dumbledore's office scene was a bit flat
and the kiss *shudder*
but grimmauld place was brilliant-exactly how i imagined it
and imelda staunton played umbridge wonderfully

i think i'm done now!

I really liked it. A lot of people who only watch the movies & haven't read the books said that it was too much talking, but I think David Yates did a wonderful job of making up for some other NAMELESS director's slack. There was a lot of info that wasn't previously mentioned. Plus, if no one noticed OoTP is the longest book in the series. Obviously it's going to be pretty long. Lol. I looooved it.

quill Mmmm...

It is a good film, excpet for the fact that they messed up a lot of points. I though the directors were going to be faithful to the books?

I'm torn completely. While it is always amazing to see a HP movie (especially seeing Dan!) They left out soooooooo much of this one. My husband doesn't read the books (what a dork) and he was having a hard time trying to figure out everything that was going on. I wonder how many others felt that way. I mean one minute, it's the first day back at Hogwarts and then all of the sudden - poof - it was Christmas! What was that about. I would have gladly sat through a 3 or 4 hour movie. But then again, I'm a HP addict!!
