Over all I think it was a good movie. however I think that they left way too much of the book out. It makes me wonder how they are going to do the 6th year without people being confused about things.

I Think It Was Good. The Films Will Never Beat The Books Though , A lot Was Missed Out And I Dont Think They Explained Things Enough. But It Was Entertaining All The Same !

I saw this movie on Thursday and I was left very dissapointed. I imagined it to be the best since OOTP was my favourite book but no.When you wait for such a long time for a movie like this you usually expect it to be really good which it wasn't. Firstly there were too many changes between the book and the movie and also too many parts were cut out. Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) acted extremely idiotic; Luna is just a bit odd and well 'looney' but she acted like a 5 year old and her accent was very irritating. The battle in the ministry was silly. The part where Dumbledore tells Harry about the prophecy was very artificial and it seemed as though harry didn't really even care about Sirius's death. And most of the films attempt at humour weren't funny. It seems as if i'm being too critical but I did appreciate some elements of the film. Imelda Staunton brought a stunning performance as Dolores Umbridge and truly showed us that evil wears pink. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson also acted well and their friendship seemed much more natural then in the previous films. The scene of Harrys Hearing and of the detention with Umbridge were great. Overall it was dissapointing.

I thought it was the best movie yet, but I did feel like certain aspects were left out, but thats what you get with a 2 and a half hour movie I guess. I loved it tho. Can't wait for the next one!

If I had to pick a favorite out of the movies that one would be it no question. It was intense and surprisingly informative with things I thought they would leave out, since some of the other movies feel a little more rushed. Totally loved it though and give it * * * * *'s .

For the most part the movie was really good. My favorite part of all was where Umbridge asked Harry and Hermione to save her from the centaurs in the Forbidden Forest, asking them to tell the centaurs that she wasn't meaning any harm, and Harry answered, "I must not tell lies". I also loved the part where Fred and George set off the fireworks during the OWL exam, that was awesome, too! As far as acting goes, I thought special kudos should go to Jason Isaacs and Helena Bonham Carter, boy, her portrayal of Bellatrix was spot on!

I thought OotP was amazing! They did leave a lot of important bits out which I was very disappointed about but overall, I think they did a brilliant job!

as a movie i thought it was good

but unfortunately i was frustrated that they butchered so many things out of the movie that were in the book, sirius' mirror, bill? Charley?, rita's interview of harry, etc...

I think the movie was absolutely excellent. I loved the Umbridge parts, they were so funny. The fighting part at the ministry was scary though.Especially the duel between Volemort and Dumbledore.I didnt even know what was happening during the Death Eater fight with Harry and his friends and the Order and much less when it came to the duel between the two great wizards which was so fast that I thought Dumbledore and Voldemort had gone crazy.

I thought it was excellent, but I just despise it when movies leave out all the important and the favorite parts of practically everyone that agrees with me. They leave out the discussion between Dumbledore and Harry. And the date with Cho and switched things around. Some people are gonna get really, really confused. Like the others say, not many people read HP. I really like the movie though!

i was extremely disappointed with the 5th movie. it cut out so much that i felt that it was more like a trailer than a movie. alot of things that they put in that movie werent correct 2. e.g.: cho telling on the da instead of marietta, just to mention one of the more minor mistakes. ok it was entertaining, especially the kiss (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), but i wasd seriously disappointed.
{dont u think harry's a really good kisser????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!}

I won't say it's the best but is definitely good, there are so many details not addressed in the movie, they even altered some plots.

It could've been so much better. I'm gonna copy paste something I wrote somewhere else to save some time, but I haven't changed my views since then, they only got a bit worse

I think that in terms of visual effects, it was by far the best one. But in terms of ... adaptation and film itself, I have to say it was very, very poor. I thought the scene when the Order goes to pick him up, flying through London, was very out of context. The idea was quite good, mixing the magical world with our own world, but the result was very sad. After all, they were supposed to go and pick Harry and keep a low profile. I think flying right above the Thames in front of the Houses of Parliament isn't keeping a low profile. But that doesn't matter, the scene itself was a very sad attempt at something.

- Liked how the Grimmauld Place appeared squeezed between the two houses. That was perfectly done, and the house itself was just as I had pictured it, very dark, very obscure, exhaling dark magic in every corner. I was a bit disappointed that Sirius's mother didn't take a part in the film, but anyway.
- Was sorry also for the kitchen fight between Sirius and Snape not being included. I mean, just imagine Gary Oldman and Alan Rickman doing that scene. Wow.
- I think they focused more on visual effects rather than story or characters. You didn't have those moments and it all seemed a bit silly.
- Loved Gary Oldman playing Sirius this time. He was just as I pictured Sirius during all this time. Very lord-ish with long velvet jackets. But his death disappointed me, too. I was expecting a little more drama since that moment was a defining moment in the whole series.
- Luna was awesome.
- The Ron+Hermione moments in the film were a bit blah. Him being jealous of a giant? C'mon!

So, in general, visually, it's delighting. The fights are awesome, the Daily Prophet bits were really good too. But... it seemed like something was missing. I think I'll have to see it again. Oh, and as for Bellatrix, I think HBC overplayed her. She didn't call for such an exuberant performance, she seemed rather under the "This is a kids movie" stereotype and didn't bother to do like otherwise. I dunno.

i thought the movie was good/okay because the book is the longest in the series and they can only make the movie so long so they cut out alot of stuff. also, Tonks wasn't like i imagined her in the book, it was just kinda weird. and they changed the dementors and Dudley. the dementors were skeletons when they should have been freakish things in robes, and Dudley sounded retarded like" who's cedric?? ur boyfrend??" he was just gay. but Voldemorte was awesome!!!!!!

That's because he putting on a voice to mock Harry. Please don't use terms such as "gay" and "retarded" as insults.

I was disappointed to say the least. Don't get me wrong! The scenes were done extremely well especially the battle scene at the Ministry and the scene of Voldemort possessing Harry, but I feel that they left so much out and that it didn't follow the same 'Harry Potter' theme as the rest of the movies. Lol, I was really disappointed that they changed the music for the credits.

the film was alright, the way the stroy was told was not good at all, my friend who hadnt read the book was confused an had to ask wot was goin on. the actual story line was very fast until the extremely slow (and rather dull) harry and sirius scene talking about his family tree. so all in all not good for people that havnt read the book. although the special effects were fantastic! i went back to see it for the big fight near the end. it looked amazing, the story telling lacked (tho coz Ive read it it didnt matter to me)

I voted "good" i loved it, i just thought it was a bit rushed in parts which is to be expected because it would be hard to fit so much into just a couple of hours, i would of loved it so much better if it had Quidditch it in but i understand why they had to cut it but in my opinion i wouldn't care if the movie went for 5hours the longer the better
