:Harry: is back with his fifth year at Hogwarts to find that no one is believing the teenage escaper of Avada Kedavra, that the most feared and dark wizard of all time is back at large, . then there are those in Private Drive, which nearly get Harry expelled, but then a Hearing is decided. There is also a new change, The Order Of The Phoenix (sorry, I am not their Secret-Keeper, I can't tell you where it is). As though this is nothing, The Minister of Magic gets the idea that may be planning to become the Minister of Magic. So he appoints a new Defence Against the Dark Artsteacher, who follows the 'ministry approved' course and doesn't teach them defence and leaving the young wizards and witches unprepared for what is outside. Seeing this Harry decides to take matters into his own hands...Still, to make matters worse, Harry is feeling uneasy, having dreams about locked corridors with dead ends... and worst of all, is not looking at :Harry:! And most of all, + THE KISS!The movie is as exciting as the book. See how Harry copes up with everything from the Hearing to having extra lessons with to detention with Umbridge to visiting Voldemort at nights. this is an "action/romance/adventure/a little horror/and boring to some non-Harry fan 'fools' " movie. So watch OUT

Overall, it was great, but they cut so much out, I wonder if the people who hadn't read it really got all of it...It seemed like there was a lot you might've missed had you not read the books in this one.

It was so awesome!!! The script was amazing. in fact everything was amazing! The quotes were straight from the bookes it was sooooooooo cool. I just got back from the theater! and they had two guys dressed as Bananas! it was Weird!!!!!!!!

The movie was as close to perfect as anyone in their right mind could ask for. There are always things that can be critiqued but the script was directly from the book and the acting was phanominal. I Loved it . I just came from the theater. I went with sally1. We were freaking out the whole time. Go See It Now if you haven't yet! It was AMAZING. Best film so far. What were your favorite scenes? I liked the Battle at the DOM best. I just saw it again in IMAX 3D--even better in 3D.

Excellent doesn't quite describe the awesomeness of this movie.
Usually I'm kinda iffy about the movies, but WOW. OotP was SO, so amazing. The last 20 minutes especially so. *sobs*

Seeing the Voldemort VS Dumbledore duel in 3D was just about one of the best HP-experiences ever

For once I thought they made the cuts where nessecary instead of just cutting apart the book to make a new plot. The only thing they NEEDED to leave in that they didn't, in my opinion, was the ending talk between Harry and Dumbledore. Harry breaking things, throwing a tantrum... you barely got to see Harry be upset by Sirius at all.

The rest of the movie was spectacular, though. Excellent effects, and GREAT acting. Umbridge was just as evil as I was hoping for All the Ron-Hermy tension was just cute, and I loved the look Harry gave Ginny in this movie... sets up their romance for the future.

Yayyyy. I saw it at midnight!! and had to get up 6 hours later for work!!! It was worth it thought. I really thought the movie was great!!! It wasn't as dissapointing as the fouth movie was! I loved Hogwarts but the House of Black wasn't what I had expected, and I thought it would have been funny if they put Sirius' mom in there. Overall I thought it was great, of course the movies are never as good as the books. .

I hated pretty much the whole movie. The actors were absolutely fantastic (especially Imelda Staunton, Gary Oldman and Jason Isaacs), but the scenario was rather poor, in my opinion.

To be brief, I thought the movie was the best theatrically. I liked it better than PoA and GoF. I didn't think it was canon enough to be as good as the first two.

The adult actors were phenominal, of course. Standouts are Gary Oldman, Alan Rickman, who finally got a chance to show who Snape is, and Helena Bonham Carter who is insanity and deranged personified! She was fabulous. Too bad her part was brief. IMELDA STAUNTON and EVANNA LYNCH, I swear, walked out of the book onto the screen. They were spot on perfect. However, despite all the hype, I thought Dan's performance was a little overrated. I do think he's improved immensely, and Emma was better, but I wasn't blown away. I also missed Tonks and Remus...as actual roles, not necessarily their romance foreshadowing. I wanted to see more of them.

It was good. I essentially liked it. I'm glad I went...at midnight, which was fun. (I've never done that before.) But, I was left feeling a little blank. Sirius's death, Snape's Worst Memory, and the Prophecy were done very, very poorly, and I was extremely disappointed in them...and they were all IMPORTANT SCENES! You didn't even see Lily, Harry didn't have time to grieve over Sirius (and the audience really couldn't appreciate that he's dead), and you didn't get the impact of the Prophecy and what it meant...and the connection and all of that. *annoyed*

R/HR H/G FOREVER!...but where was the H/G look? I know she kind of gave him a look, but in which scene did he give her a look? I can't believe I missed it! *is annoyed*

I missed alot of things that they didn't put in it but thats to be expected. The movie can never be as good as the book. I thought Grawp was really cute! All in all I thought it was okay. I didn't really like the beginning and the MoM scene wasn't nearly how I'd imagined it but yeah, it was a good show.

The movie was absolutely fantastic! There are no words to explain how terrific it is. OotP is my favorite book in the series so I’m pretty happy that the movie was well made. Yes; a lot things were left out, but it doesn’t matter. Everything that is crucial to the story was left in and it was just all put together very well.

It was just awesome!!! The fighting scenes were incredible and the battle between Voldemort and Dumbledore was phenomenal!! People who haven’t read the book should really consider reading it though…you’d definitely get a better feel and understanding of the story and just how important OotP is to the series. Too if you enjoyed the movie then you’ll most definitely fall in love with the book.

I rated it average. Personally, I think the character's have definately grown up and are a lot better now (meaning The Trio), and overall, the sepcial effects were GREAT! But, they cut out so much, they changed some things, and they didn't do much character building (especially for Snape and Ginny, who play big parts in the next movie). Rickman did a splendid performance, but I didn't like how they portrayed him as so.. well, I guess my mental image is a little different. Imelda Staunton was probably the best actress there, but Helena Bonham Carter was pretty good also. The movie could've been better, but still, it's okay. Good Job Yates!

I gave it a rating of "good" because it was, but it could have been better. I think this is my favorite one tho, much more true to the book than GoF, especially. The twins' escape and Umbridge's ride with the centaurs were my favorites, those scenes were played very well, I thought, and were pretty hilarious to watch, as well. The alleyway scene with Mrs. Figg was weird, that was the oddest alleyway I've ever seen, and since, at the hearing, they didn't say she was a squib, anyone not totally familiar with the book could have forgotten that and wondered why she didn't just do something about the dementors instead of making Harry do it.

I do think that Sirius's death scene was rather touching, however if the sound had been used, to actually hear Harry screaming, I feel it might have been better, and the veil was just downright disappointing. It was supposed to be a curtain, and Sirius arch backwards into it and just disappear, only seeing shadows behind it, not this funky mist stuff that it was... He just sort of became one with the wall and faded away, a very disappointing death to me. I wasn't very happy or as emotional as I thought I'd be during this time, instead I spent most of that time wondering what kind of a curtain acted like that.

Grimmauld Place, and The Black Family tree, was amazing, tho yes they did leave out Sirius' mother, not like I'm especially heartbroken not to see the wretched woman screeching, but it would have been good to help set the mood of the movie as well. It would have helped explain Sirius' urge to get out of the house and see Harry off, besides being locked up all the time.

Umbridge and her violent pink outfits disgust me, sickened me. They started out just fine, sort of, being a light baby pink all over, but each time you see her she's a more and more violent shade of pink, and at one point was even wearing a fuzzy coat. Staunton plays a wonderfully wicked Umbridge that you have to just love to hate. She definitely got her comeuppance with the centaurs later on. I think they did great work on her.

The Room of Requirement was off, wayyy off, they only walked up to it and it showed the door, when they are supposed to walk by it 3 times and it be across from a tapestry. But I suppose to shortcut their way through the "snitch" scene and all, they had to do it how they did. Even tho, the mirrored walls were really cool to see the spells being shot like that. I LOVED seeing everyone's patronuses. However the Harry/Cho kiss scene was VERY awkward, in my eyes, as they were talking about her dead boyfriend and then proceeded to kiss, right in frolnt of Cedric's picture, which was taped on the board they were in front of. That is, to me, a bit uncaring, as it is supposed to be only a year after Cedric dies. Struck me as odd, it did.

Overall tho, I did like the movie alot, and seeing Tonks in action is great, all the characters have developed a bit more since GoF, even if it was just in their acting. Luna is great, Evanna fits the character wonderfully, she just makes it all a more positive feeling and just the perfect Luna. Great movie, tho some parts are twisted, others are missing, but then again you can't possibly fit everything in a book into the movie.

The movie was just amazing to me. I voted it as excellent. I already saw it twice! Midnight last night and then again today. This movie had a really great impact on me and made me realize why I love Harry Potter soo much. It really made me think about life in general, as weird as it sounds. Any movie that can impact me as much as this one did is truly remarkable.

I thought it was excellent overall..yes there was lots of cutting out but at least the main points were in there...i loved how you could tell ron was beginning to get a thing for hermione the way he talked with her! anyways the last scenes were the best with the battles...i cried when sirius died!

there were loads of things i loved about the movie but i left feeling dissapointed, alot of the things i was looking forward too werent there or just wasnt done how i imanged them.

I enjoyed the movie and liked it.

Although the cutting of the Two-Way-Mirror and the scene with Sirius and the veil annoyed me very much. I wasn't pleased with what they DID cut considering this movie was shorter than the Goblet and it seemed more like short snippets of chapters rather than the fleshing out of the story.

The prophecy and Harry's fear of becoming Voldie was glanced at. Having only Harry's fear mentioned once to Sirius (and seemed random since there wasn't much build up to it) and then the possession at the end (which I loved to bits, as it was filmed really well, but didn't make sense with again, no build up or seeming any reason to it). With the prophecy being the big 'twist' at the end it seemed kind of silly since first of all, they didn't say the entire prophecy and there wasn't the huge deal or explanation to Dumbledore having known this for a long time, his reasons for not telling Harry (which would have built in his care and love for Harry) and even the throw in of Neville which had been recieved so hugely from us readers!

Characters such as Tonks and Bella were great to see but they weren't mentioned much. There was LOADS and loads of extra students which was great to see, but it was sadly very Trio-based. Silly to have so many extras, but no thought to interact with characters other than the Trio.

Not too happy with the Cho kissing scene (where was the awkwardness???) or the replacement as her being the Sneak (although a handy way of writing her out I suppose). I felt the Snape Memory was done terribly since it didn't seem to be of any use.

Enjoyed Kreacher. Loved Luna to absolute pieces. I did get teary at the use of the flashbacks - namely with Harry and Sirius hugging after the veil scene. I was VERY happy with the change to how they communicated with the fireplace. In fact, a lot of the detailing such as the Death Eater masks, how they moved, the head in the fireplace, Umbridge's Cutting Quills, the Twins' fireworks and such were very well done and better represented in this film than the previous ones.

I did love the creepy feeling this movie had. But I do think it could've been really confusing to those not reading the books. To me it felt like it didn't capture any of what the book was suppose to be getting at, but I still did like it and will probably see it again and again.

SCENES/SETS
- Dudley Demented, it was very sunny and hot! the Dmentors hir are unhooded, new look!
- Peck of Owls?, no, only 1 owl, animation of the letter was fine though, Harry ddnt defend himself!
- Advanced Guard , was so cool! and the London sceneries were great!
- Grimmauld Place was so cozy and clean too...
- Ministry of Magic set was so awesome! i ddnt imagine it that big! and the fountains was a good sight..
- The Hearing was full of details, and that's fine...the snubbing was so heartbreaking really...
- Sirius's a different dog hir!, as last seen in PoA...
- Loved the old Order of the Phoenix pic! i ddnt see Lupin though..
- Threstrals were fine as well, you can notice Ron looking at it in exact position during the carriage scene, when Harry pointed the threstral...
- DADA lesson scene was full of emotions hir too, Umbridge's very nasty hir!
- Loved the Inquisitor scenes, with Snape & Trewlaney...only the funny scenes..
- Hog's Head scenes were so gloomy,but yes the actors played well
- Room of Requirement needs improvmnt for me, there are no books or cushions..but i like the idea of mirror there with attached memories why they need to fight...
- i like the way Harry and Seamus fight! very convincing!
- A lot of D.A. meetings! i loved that! and they practiced Levicorpus!
- and wow Harry & Cho's kiss scene was done professionally...goodie good!
- Loved the scene after the kiss! That's the trio talking, Hermione explaining, Ron laughing and Harry speechless!, memorable scene!
- Detention with Dolores was rily nasty!
- Loved Ron when he said "I'm Hungry!" to Hermione....haha!
- Cool Snackboxes too! loved them and tons of Decree...
- Eye of the Snake scenes details were enough,even though a lot was removd..
- No St. Mungo's! nor Career Advice!
- and what's the urgency with Occlumency? details were enough though, all said..
- Family tree was so big! to give way for the pics? nicely done though..
- Hagrid's Tale was so short! but again the details was enough..
- The whole D.A. was caught! And the culprit was Cho! poor Cho! its not her fault! she got interrogated...
- Didnt expect Grawp to be there! i thought he'll be removed, but im very glad they included him as well as the centaurs, and the scenes were good too!
- Snape's Worst Memory scenes were fine,a bit short, wish it could've extended for another minute or so...
- Weasley fireworks! scene was not that funny though, but Umbridge deserved it!...i was waiting for Catherine wheels to appear, but none came..
- Harry's desperation to save Sirius ddnt need further argument when he said "He's the only family i got!".. .even if i was Hermione, i wudnt stop him...
- When Harry was caught using the fireplace, where did Neville, Luna and Ginny come from?it ddnt show what happend..maybe in DVD...
- Fight scenes with Umbridge and centaurs....its not enough for me though..Flight scenes were very good!
- Department of Mysteries, Hall of Prophecy, Death Chamber were really really excellent sets! Especially the veil, i loved it...
- and wow they modified Apparition! good though
- Harry performed a nonverbal spell! you can see it during their first attack when Sirius is by his side and then Malfoy re-appeared...
- Wrong effects hir! When Bella did the Killing Curse on Sirius, Sirius was still abled to move and look at Harry! is should be instant death right?
- also, did someone mentioned why Voldemort want the prophecy? i think i missed that one...
- The duel between Dumbledore and Voldemort was splendid!, good visuals & choreography! destroying the ministry's lobby! why do their wands connected though?
- Harry's possession scenes were soooo sad! especially with the flashbacks, made me cry! loved the quote he said, "You're the weak one and im sorry for you.."
- Lost Prophecy scene was so short too! they only discussed 3 things, who's fault, the prophecy contents, and why tell now...i think they missed a few essential points but i cant think of any at the mo...wait Dumbledore's sorry too..
- i noticed a lot of Luna/Harry scenes hir! with threstals & end of term...wonder why??? how sweet!!!
- also there's a lot of romance between Harry & Cho! also notice Ginny's reactions! like after the Hog's Head when Hermione mention Cho at Harry, you cud see Ginny looking bothered and most noticable is aftr one DA meeting when Harry approchd Cho at the mirror, you could see Ginny looked back and looked miserable...poor Ginny!
- there's not enough grieving done for Sirius! he deservd that! there's not enough emotions there, in the book, that made the readers anticipate for the book6, they shouldve included at least a scene where Harry wants to be alone...
- Lastly, also loved the last line.."They have something worth fighting for..."

PERFORMANCES

- Sirius is very dramatic, and there's a lot of Harry/Sirius bonding! and yeah that's good!
- Evanna's performance was really excellent! she portrayed Luna very well! loved her!
- Imelda Staunton brought out the nastiness of Umbrigde! great performance, with the cough & silly laughs!
- also Helena Carter did great! her evilness was very palpable, great perfomance! great!
- Emma Thompson & Alan Rickman's performances were really classics...
- i hope you guys noticed but Ralph's performance as Voldemort got scarier! he's fiercer and meaner this time! very good!!!!

DETAILS that should have mentioned in the film...
- to whom did exactly the dementors took orders? Voldemort's or Umbridge?
- also Snape's work for the Order, but maybe it will be included in the next movie...
- and why Harry needed to stay & go back to the Dursleys every summer...

OVERALL...

Something wrong with the script, its too bookish, also i ddnt saw "raging hormones" from Harry, this proved to be essential in the success of book5...but Harry's attitude althrough out the film compensates for it, his attitude to Ron & Hermione and the frustration on what's happening to him..well that's ok..Im also glad they included a lot of characters hir,including Percy, Amelia Bones, Tonks, Shacklebolt and even Wormtail! a lot of Filch scenes hir too! that's great!
But...its not as magically great as the last 4 films, it seems that it lose the spirit of Harry Potter too....it wasnt exactly adapted the way im expecting it, there's little sadness, lack also a lot of details....bad cinematography too.. but as a Harry Potter fan, i still loved it & im planning on watching it again!!!

I thought it was pretty okay. I'm sorry that I didn't like the movie more; maybe it was because my sister and I read OotP aloud right before seeing the movie, so we were comparing it a lot to the book, and I find the books are always better than the films.

I felt that the scenes, if they weren't skipped altogether, skimmed the surface. They didn't seem to have a lot in them, in my opinion. THat was just my first impression...I know I need to watch the film again!

The acting was awesome, though. Everyone was amazing. I was thoroughly impressed by Evanna's performance (what a perfect Luna!).

I found the end duel between Voldemort and Dumbledore a bit disappointing for some reason. The statues in the fountain didn't move! But the CGI, which was practically everything, was great!

The part in the DoM when Harry is fighting with Voldemort in his head is absolutely excellent.

I found the end a bit disappointing in Dumbledore's office; it didn't seem really real to me. Harry didn't even seemed extremely irked or saddened by Sirius' death.

I loved how they finally hinted the ships right! The Ron/Hermione action in this film was adorable. And I'm not a R/Hr shipper; I'm a D/Hr shipper, curiously enough. But R/Hr actually grew on me because of this film.

On that note, I loved the whole trio bond. They really seemed like genuine friends in the movie, more genuine than was evident in other films, I thought.
