interesting, because it doesn't really make sense. i'm sure once the book is out and read and eveythinig it'll make perfect sense, but i'm sure it has to do with Voldemort being the deathly honor spoken about... sorta. he is sort of holy, to his followers, so ya. he would be an honor, so deathly hallows could mean just something about Voldemort.

I don't think JK really wanted to raise more questions, between "who's going to die" and learning "all we need to know" about Harry's parents....there's probably enough questions out there, the problem is that they're all rather old. But still a lot of fun to discuss.

If it's obvious to you, then what's the Deathly Hallows? Will Harry die and return to life? Will he walk through them and speak with Dumbledore? His parents? Or is it just a book? Or is it similar to Tom Riddle's Diary? Remember, "Hallows" is just something revered, not actually a hallway.

What more do you want?? It's the last book...(okay, what more besides another book like the rest of us ) and we're to have all of our questions answered....according to JK.

The books have been growing steadily darker as time progressed, so, in my opinion, it only makes sense that the titles would grow dark too *shrug*

Its a great title - but its a bit confussing when you look up what the words mean - like deth and to make holy??? baffels me!

Ditto! To tell you HONESTLY from my part, I found it a little corny. Im not being slang here. I found it corny. When I solved the puzzle, the only thing that came in my mind was like "Huh? What? Deathly Hallows? What the hell is that?" I really am not being rude, just bluntly frank.

Interesting view ... now was a horcrux evil or not ... Does Harry just have to find them or destroy them. I like your view.

All Hallows Eve was the night when the evil was supposed to be removed from the world in preparation for All Saint's Day. However through time and religion we gained Halloween a scary night vs its true meaning.

Reading on many of JK's researches, etc. this must have to do with ancient times in my opinion and also nothing is what it seems as with all her books!

i agree^ i thought it was a strange title at first as well...i dont know what it is about it but it just seems different than the others...but im sure as with all teh other books it will turn out perfect lol well maybe not b/c im sure i will be disappointed with a death in teh book...i like most of teh characters so teh odds of one of them getting bumped off are high

Well the first thing that had popped into my head when I heard it was 'cool a title' but then i thought it over and felt kind of bummed out. I guess this means that either a lot ot people will die or an important person will die or several important people will die or all of the above; neither which sounds like a happy book. I guess we'll just have to wait until the book's out...I can't wait!!

I like it, it has the word, "Death" in it so it makes me wonder who is going to die. I really want to read it. Im like on the list of ordering it for whenever it comes out like from all my emails. *How many is that? I need to count lol*

The title sounds interesting...and it makes the book sound eerie and dark, it also seems as if the main theme is death....can't wait!! >__<
