What do you think of the title for Harry Potter 7?

It's still sinking in for me! I love it though! I have so many ideas floating in my mind for what it means.

Oh, I love it! I can't wait to read it!!

Hallows or Hollows? What's the diff?

Hallows:

1. To make or set apart as holy.
2. To respect or honor greatly; revere.

Hollows:

1. Having a cavity, gap, or space within: a hollow wall.
2. Deeply indented or concave; sunken: "His bearded face already has a set, hollow look" (Conor Cruise O'Brien).
3. Without substance or character: a hollow person.
   
4. Devoid of truth or validity; specious: "Theirs is at best a hollow form of flattery" (Annalyn Swan).
5. Having a reverberating, sepulchral sound: hollow footsteps.

Since Voldemort is respected, it could be a play on words for him, or even the dead halls where well-respected wizards go once dead (ie Dumbledore or even *gasp* Harry!)

It's so eerie and forboding. I'm in love with it <333 It makes it sound like the book is going to be the utmost of the darkest, which I'm sure it will be. But Deathly Hallows? Why does it make it sound like he's on a trail of death? =/

I'm wondering o.O Either way, it definetly has a big thing to do with Death; as in a main theme, moreso than other books, I think.

it is kinda odd but once we read it we will understand why she named it that. i am just so excited. i cant wait for it to come out.

It is definite an appropriate title to end the series as we know death will occur but who will die? Obviously Voldemort is my theory and I suspect Harry will as well to end and bring the series to a complete stop. That way there cannot be an 8th book as much as we would all love that is not going to happen.

Brings to mind the title of the HBP who is the HBP that is still a mystery right? I have to re-read HBP haven't since it was released.

I must admit I am not thrilled about the title.

I got the feeling this isn't her original choice. Maybe this is the one she came up with in the shower.

Well, i am in two minds about it. One side of me is jumping up and down and screaming my head off with joy because i love the title, but the other side of me is thinking that its just a bit obvious. I don't know if this was her original choice of title but i think that its just not raising enough questions for me. I love the title but its still to simple for me, i am intrigued and shocked thats it all going to end, but will harry die? Will voldermort die...

I havn't made up my mind completly if I like it. It lacks something that the others had I think, maybe it is becuase it seems rather dark. I am super excited that we have a title, but at the same time, I feel it is rather ominous. I am extremly excited about the release of this book, and at the same time dreading the possible outcome.

i think it sounds awesome but i would've thought that it would sound a little different. but i still really can't wait to read it!

WOW finally at last we all know what the 7th book is called. All i got to say is "You got to be Joking" seriously. i now feel really scared to read this book, hehehe but it's also a very great way to end the series!!

At first I thought it was a joke. I guess it's for real (since Amazon and others are taking it seriously). In that case I hope it grows on me. I'm sure it will make sense after we read the book. Then it will probably be a great title. Now, it's just bah.
