The class is the same with the proper chairs with soft cushions to sit and lean back on, and they are still are charmed to take the most comfortable shape and height once a student is seated. The walls are still a soft, calming blue. There are one big, grey rubbish bin by the door and a white, porcelain washbasin with a tap for those who wants to wash their hands before/after the class and who can't perform 'Aguamenti' charm.
The door is open 15 minutes before the class time. Professor Culloden is sitting at his desk to wait for the students to arrive, with a neutral expression on his face.
OOC: If you are going to RP your characer use the washbasin or the bin, you don't have to take Cosgrach's permission. Just assume he has granted it.
Class has begun, so don't post your characters late. Instead, play them as if they have been here all along.
1. Fill the cauldron with water and light a fire at maximum
2. Add the scarab beetles carefully without plopping them down
3. Add half of the lion fur
4. Stir clockwise seven times with a metal stirrer
5. Wait for 7 minutes for pewter cauldrons, 5 for brass and 4 for copper. In the meantime, mix sheep wool and fox fur with salamander blood in another bowl. Make sure it's mixed well.
6. Once the time is up, add 4 tea spoons of the mixture
7. Wave your wand while saying "Dominentur"
8. Add the rest of the mixture. The colour should turn black
9. Stir clockwise seven times with a metal stirrer
10. Add the rest of the lion fur
11. Wait for 15 minutes for pewter cauldrons, 11 for brass and 3 for copper. The colour should gradually become grey (Note: chop the peppermint if it isn't already)
12. Add the chopped peppermint
13. Wait until it's white (should take a few minutes) Effect: Makes the drinker confident (or arrogant if they already have too much confidence) and choose just the right words for the person they are talking to The taste is sweet Full dose is a glass The effect lasts for 5-6 hours Overdose: More than a glass a week. Makes the drinking too arrogant and the words mocking
Good Merlin she was the first one there. The world was going to a end today for sure. Maybe she should wait for someone else to come along and go in after them. Ugh she pushed herself to walk on it
She walked in and walk passed Culloden, "Hello, professor." She waved as she headed to the back of the room. First person prime choice of back row seating. Score!

Kevin felt bad for missing the first potion's workshop as he had been looking forward to it. If only Cat Man and Old Man hadn't locked him up in the criminal cell at that time... the mere thought of it made him feel annoyed. Still, it was time for potions again and it made him feel better.
He entered the classroom and was surprised he was one of the first one there. Normally he was one of the last. Actually, this was a good thing. Instead of walking to a seat, the young Gryffindor made his way to the Professor's desk and stood in front of it. "We need to talk" he said as he looked him straight in the eyes. "I mean" he scratched the back of his head as he thought of more polite words and he breathed out long, puffing his cheeks as he did so because being polite was hard. "Can i come to your office some day? i need to ask you something" that was better right? ugh this was hard.
As he waited for a reply , he noticed Cinna already seated in one of the chairs and his cheeks burned a bright pink color. No one saw that! nope ...no one!

Potions. That's what lesson Hady Eason her way to this morning and she was a bit early. Not incredibly early where the door wasn't open yet but earlier then usual for her. That was fine really seeing as she enjoyed this lesson. Tugging her bookbag up onto her shoulder more firmly she walked through the classroom door.
Nothing changed. Everything appeared to be the same and that was also fine by her. Her usual grin in place she waved at the Professor. "Hello, Professod Culloden" she chirped cheerfully selecting a seat up front. Sliding into her chair she set all her things down on her desk taking out whatever she figured she'd need for this class and waited for someone she knew to get there.
Beverly Wayne was running the corridors again. One would think she'd have enough time to get to the potions' classroom on time considering her living quarters. As it was, she wasn't near the dungeons. She had been on the first floor 'rescuing' one of her first years that thought taking a dip into the overflowing swamp was a great idea. A first year who didn't know how to swim. It had been a smelly rescue but she got the job done nonetheless. It was after she changed robes that Beverly ran to the potions' classroom, hoping she wasn't late.
She wasn't. Thank you, Salazar Slytherin.
Catching her breath at the door, she smoothed her hands over her robes and proceeded inside, grinning a blushy grin at the man in charge. "Good day, Professor Culloden." She'd learned a new cookie recipe, maybe she should share it with him. Yes, yes. Later.
Kace made his way to potions class. The first potions class of the term. He was wondering what the professor had in store of them today. As he made his way down to the dungeons staircase and into the cool classroom, he hugged his scarf closer and was glad he brought his gloves with him. As he looked around he noticed Cinna was there. He waved to her and then took a seat right by her. "Sup Cinna?" he asked taking out his school supplies for the lesson.
As he said his greetings to Cinna, he noticed the Professor was in the classroom too. He smiled and greeted him with, "Hello Professor! What are we learning today?" Being the curious puff he is, he wanted to know.

With a grin plastered on his face Kyroh the dungeon classroom that he couldn't help but love. Gazing around the third year made a small check to see if any changes had been done from the last lesson but nope- everything looked the same. Quickly he made his way up to the front of the classroom but NOT to take a seat, no. Just so he could talk face to face, MAN TO MAN to Culloden. "Hullo Sir!!! I would give you a hug but you're sitting so that's kind of weird. So...so...yeah!" The grin -if possible- grew and Kyroh gave a small salut to the man before finding his normal seat.

They had a tendency to blow up in Dante's face. His own fault, of course. He just will never admit that. Though he had told himself this year would be different. And has been doing good so far. No explosions or anything. Not even lighting people on fire. Success for Dante.

The Gryffindor walked into the potions room feeling a little less meh than he normally did. Which was a good sign, right? It meant that he felt a little lesson intimidated by the idea. Which was definitely a good sign. It also meant that... Actually, what did it mean? Either Culloden had really gotten to him or Sophie Brown had. And he wasn't sure which was worse.
As he walked by the Professor's desk he gave him a humble nod of the head. Normally he'd give him a look that said 'absolute terror' or something... But now that the man had agreed to help... And now that he'd promised Sophie Brown that he'd try and look past the scary human that was Culloden. Yeah. Just a humble nod. "Hi, Professor.... Is it just me or... Does it look a lot calmer in here?" Or maybe it's because Zander felt calmer.
Weird.
Also, he noticed Kevin staring over at Cinna, so maybe he'd avoid that... Yeah, instead he'd go take a seat near the front of the classroom because he really really needed to pass his OWLs. See, this is what maturity was. Zander had it. He was going to be smart this term.

Potions time. Or also know as, let's see what Finn here is capable of doing depending on which direction the class would go in today. It could be two very different things.
He walked in through the classroom and gave a quick, "Hell-oh Professor" before making his way around to the desks. Hmmm, this time he hesitated slightly and decided to sit somewhere in the middle. Better for learning and less distractions. A step up, as well, from sitting in the back.

Benny found over time he was loosing his apprehesion about potions lessons. Granted there was still a little bit of nerves residing within him each time, but it was almost as if something was trying to keep him in check. Like he didn't want to get stuck thinking he could now do everything about potions that was sent his way with ease. Not that he believed any of that anyway. Even if his head had been buried in the potions texts given to them for the creatove assignment lately.
"Hello Professor," he greeted with a polite nod as he spotted the man at his desk. Upon further inspection of the classroom he noticed he was the first of their usual quartet to arrive. Even Adi hadn't made his way down to the potions classroom as of yet. That was an oddity for the Hufflepuff was the more interested of the two in the subject matter. Benny made his way to a random free seat and sat down, setting his supplies down on the workstation in front of him.
Domino walked into the classroom and muttered a hello to the professor. She made her way to a desk and sat at a chair only a bit surprised as the weird looking chairs took shape to fit her for sitting.

Zeke was ready for whatever the lesson had in store for them, cause this was one subject he was SUPER confident with. Yep. So with a SPRINNNGGGG in his step, Zeke entered the room and went straight for his usual seat in the front row.

Kate loved brewing potions, and even though she didn't think it was the right time for her to join that Potions Club, she was still looking forward to class. Maybe she'd join the Potions Club next year, when she was a little more confident of how she'd do. Walking into the classroom, she took a quick look around. It was never, ever a bad idea to do that when walking into a Hogwarts classroom. Kate learned a long time ago to look around and be aware of her surroundings, especially at Hogwarts.
The blue walls caught her by surprise every time. She expected a dungeon classroom to look different, but that was the power of magic. She didn't wash her hands, because by this point in the school year, she knew how to cast Aguamenti. "Hello, Professor," she greeted. "Happy Holidays!" She still couldn't believe December was already here.

One of the best subjects at Hogwarts with one of the most awesome Professor so the combination went well together for Adi. He happily made his entrance into the classroom. "Hello, Professor!'' As usual, the man got one of his signature grins before the boy went off to grab one of those comfy seats.
Of course he just could NOT ignore his friends already there. Heyyyy, Kevin, Hady, Kace, Dante, Zander, Domino, Zeke and Kate! Beverly got one of his grins and a wave because she was one of his favourite people, you know.
Finally, the fifth year made his way to his bestie, immediately taking the seat next to him. "Hi.'' Smiling broadly, he set about organising his workstation with his books and writing materials.

It was time for Potions and Janelle was a bit nervous. She reallllly wanted to do well in this class. Well she wanted to do well in all of her classes, but she was excited for Potions. Remembering what her sister had drilled into her head, she stopped at the washbasin to clean her hands. Now she was ready to get the show on the road.
"Hello Professor Culloden", Janelle said as she passed by his desk. Then she found an empty seat and settled into the comfy chair. After sending waves to Beverly, Kate, and Adi, Janelle set up her things and prepared to go to work.

Potions. Awesomesauce. Even though the class involved a biiiit too much cleaning for her taste, it didn't stop Norah from being EXCITED. See, Professor Culloden? Your class was even worth dealing with CLEANING. That was the highest praise, really. And she totally wasn't going to blow anything up. Totally. Third years did NOT blow things up, even if she did have to remind herself of this fact before each lesson.
"Hi, Professor Culloden!" she said as she passed him, snagging a seat right in the front. Now he could see all about how she DIDN'T blow things up. Woooh!
Ugh Potions.....Margo has forced herself to come to the lesson today. She wasn't a huge fan of potions, nor was she any good at them, but none the less here she was. Margo always thought hard work would pay off she Margo arrived to the lesson on time and was ready.
Washing her hands in the basin before class because Margo wasn't ready to try yet another spell and not be any good at. "Hello Professor." Margo added and then took her seat, she tried to be happy.

Potions! Hayden was generally a big fan of potions! She tended to be pretty good at it, and she usually liked it. And there was also the fact that Culloden was one of her favorite professors. She entered the classroom happily, with a cheerful smile on her face. "Hello professor Culloden," she greeted brightly.
Hayden went to take a seat. She smiled at her friends. There was Margo, Adi, and Kate. Hello guys. She waved to them before taking her seat. She waited patiently for the lesson to start.

As much as the dungeons frightened the poor fifth year, Dylan loved Potions class. It was definitely one of his favorites! But still...making his way through the dungeons always scared him a bit. For a guy who looked so tough most times (at least in his opinion he did), he sure got scared over the smallest things.
Entering the classroom, he let out a slow breath. He had been practically holding his breath the whole trip here, as usual. His racing heart-rate returned to normal as he made his way in. "Hello, Professor," He greeted as he passed Professor Culloden's desk and took the first empty seat he spotted.

There was no way he was gonna miss THIS.
It was a wonder what a bit interest could do to him. While his general attitude towards homework and most classes was: 'ugh, WHY' with a mix of 'how late can I put this off before it's too late'. But for this class, the boy was willing to do extra work and it was kinda weird, to be honest. Especially to him.
Still. He was here. More or less on time, too. "Hey Professor!" he called, smiling and giving the man a 'sup nod as he headed into the classroom. It looked normal as far as he could tell and he hoped that that meant that there wasn't gonna be any fishy business going on. And they were gonna be brewing potions, weren't they? Because the boy had kinda missed that.
Seat? Somewhere in the middle? Perfect. Striding confidently towards an empty seat, the Slytherin sat down and took out some writing equipment. He was ready, yo!

Dot eagerly looked for Sophie as soon as she entered the classroom, and when she didn't spot the girl yet, she made a beeline for the front of the room. It was okay if her former-lab-partner hadn't arrived yet, because it gave Dot a chance to remind the professor that she was working on being his new favorite.
"Hi, Professor! I mean, good day." Dot winked broadly at him in the most cheerful way possible before taking a seat right in the front row. Sophie could sit with her when she arrived.
With a slow step, Paloma hummed her way into the Potions classroom, looking around for where she could sit.
"Good day, Professor Culloden." She greeted, giving him a warm smile and greeting nod. While looking for a spot again, she could feel her hands a little dirty as she had handled a few cats and their hairs, which was completely unsanitary. So, she quickly turned to the washing bin and casted the water spell and cleaned up the hair stuck to her robes.
Quickly, she took her seat on the middle rows.

But she wasn’t doing the wave and nod thing she usually did for everyone. Instead she gave smiles to her friends and took a seat in the middle row as…Owls. She needed to do well.
