Okay, so hi, I'm TheYoungTimpani (or Emilee if you're insistant on real names) and I've been known to dabble in art. I'm going to assume that this is how the portfolio buisness works, if not, please don't kill me! I'm just a...just a...just a something.

Anyways, I dabble in art and its decidedly cartoonish. Not realistic in the slightest. I've seen the other portfolios here and, holy cow, those guys can do some realistic stuff. I applaud them for that, but that's just not how I roll.
So, if you'd like to look at some of my cartoony stuff, feel free to stick around. I've got a ton of stuff, but I'm still working on scanning it all and all that jazz.

Here's just a bit of my work. Perhaps this will sway you one way or another.

Okay, so apparently 57 (or so) views have been logged here...I'm guessing that I account for about...30 of them. Give or take.
The point is, not many people are looking at this thread. And even less are commenting...approximately zero, I think was the last figure my people gave me. Whatever.
Maybe the Teddy Lupin thing wasn't your thing. Okay. Fair enough. How about this lovely picture of my favorite characters from the series?

From left to right: Remus, Teddy, Tonks, Sirius, Fred, and George.
So. George's black eye. Funny story, actually. I accidentally made that eye enormous and needed to cover it up and knew that the flesh color would not cover it, so the black eye came into being. Feel free to make up your own story as to how he got the black eye. I gave him a broom, so maybe it was an incident with a bludger. Who knows.
Also, Sirius's facial hair...I did more research on that than any other part of this picture. I dunno why, either. I mean, I love Gary as Sirius, but I never really thought of the facial hair as making the character. Still, I was compelled to give him the facial hair from the movie.
While on that topic. I really like Nat and the Phelps twins as the characters they play, but I drew them when I wasn't around my computer and was too lazy to change them to match the actors' looks. I have no motivation.
Remus is a little...colorful here...that was an experiment. Not so sure how much I like the results, though. His scars don't show up exceptionally well here, either. Maybe I'll get a better scan later.

Just out of curiousity, would those few of you looking at this like to see drawings of mine that are from out of the HP universe? Because I have them. If I don't get a response, I'll...probably do something like this again. Where I post one picture and then ramble for a unreasonable amount of time...because I ramble. A lot.

Haha I like your drawings! You've only had this thread up less than a week so don't worry if no one has commented yet. The Portfolio section of Madame Malkin's does not get a lot of views, just from my experience, but that doesn't mean the work within is not worthy.

So sure. I would say go ahead and post your other drawings. They speak for themselves and they show your talent.

I'm not incredibly fond of this work. Something about Tonks is just so incredibly off in my opinion. However, I do appreciate the way that their hardcoreness came through.

This is a drawing of my Canadian friend, Sean, in a polar bear costume. He loved it. I had to give him the drawing. He used to get teased when he came down here. We called him a polar bear.

Then here's Scar from The Lion King. I love this drawing. Its probably one of the best pieces I've ever done.

I will, however, stick to a theme today. That theme is the anime TekkonKinkreet. It is an amazing movie. I've done a few drawings of characters from the film. Hope you enjoy them.

That's Black, the oldest of the two brothers from the film.

Here's Black, again. This time he's making a very interesting face...I think this might be on the cover of the DVD. I don't recall.

This is White, Black's younger brother. White represents innocence, from what I interpret.

This is one of White's 'things' throughout the movie. He'll 'check in' with someone. Sometimes he'll pick up a random pay phone, other times he'll just say something. It provides a splash of narrative from White's (very naive) perspective.

Here's another drawing of Black. I call this one "Devil's Smile" Fairly understandable name for the smile of a child assassin who regrets nothing (well, regrets very little, at least).

And the last of my TekkonKinkreet drawings features Black bemoaning the state of his hometown, Treasure Town. "This town is Hell. This is Hell."

The theme of todays drawings is...there is no theme! Its just some random stuff that I'm going to share with you! Yay!

First up is a lovely (I think) Daisuke/Davis from Digimon 02. One day I will get around to coloring this, but for now I'll leave it as lineart.


Now we have some kind of green-haired guy with an eyebrow piercing and gauges screaming into a microphone...alright then!


Here's a drawing of a guy hanging upside down...for no real reason...just upside down guy.


Here's a speed-drawing attempt at a Impressionist-esque turtle...Not quite as good as I had hoped it would be. I did it when I was watching coverage of the Gulf Oil Spill.


And here's another drawing of the same set. Its an Impressionist inspired drawing of a sunset out at sea...I used a bit too much black for my own liking, but someone else really liked it. Whatever. Maybe I'm just too critical of my own stuff. You can be the judge.

So, I was reprimaded for my bad language on one of my posts. As a means of apology (or celebration, I'm leaving that decision up to you) I will now post a friggidy-fracking ton of drawings. Just because I love you. Yes, you. All of you. But especially you. You know who you are.

And before anyone asks, yes, some of these have been censored. I like this website and I like being able to post here. If you want to see the uncensored ones (not much different, just a bit more colorful language in one and two other comics with jokes that wouldn't be uncommon in a high school or middle school, but I didn't want to push anything here) feel free to drop me a line. But I promise, they're nothing inappropriate, just a little sophomoric teasing between classmates.

I haven't posted in so long...geez. Well, finals week is upon me so I decided to post this before things got too insane.
This post's theme is Ace of Cakes. These drawings are based on illustrations in the Ace of Cakes book that I have. I hope you appreciate them.

First up, Celebration Cake. This is actually only in a little picture in the book, but it seems to be a reoccuring cake illustration on the show and around the shop.


Then we have a little Duff. This one is not my best, but whatever. Its not bad.


Then Mary Alice. I don't think this really looks like Mary Alice, but this is the illustration that's in the book, so I just went with it.


Now for a little Geof. *sigh* Geof's my favorite. I love him. However, this did not turn out very...Geof-like. It just looks off to me, but I had to try.


As much as I didn't like the first Duff drawing, I love this one. I think it looks quinticentially Duff. Awesome.


And this one is the crown jewel of my Ace of Cakes collection: Duff and Geof. Duff being all Duff-like and Geof being a perfectionist. I really like this one...I especially like the way that the Celebration Cake turned out.


Also, afterthought, going back and looking at these drawings, Duff really looks like one of my professors. Awesome.
