I drew this as part of a birthday banner for a friend - hence why there is part of a 'Y' in the right hard side of the picture. Sailor Moon has always been close to my heart and I especially love the coloring of her Super outfit.

My favorite part of this drawing would have to be the coloring.

A little while back, I was toying with the idea of writing a story based on Asian mythology revolving around dragons. I had set up a story where four sisters, who were the Goddesses of the Four Directions, lived in a kingdom that was at war with itself and lived in fear of dragons (there was so much more to this, but I am afraid I have deleted the word document). These sisters had the ability to turn into both humans and dragons and were being hunted down by their own people. To save themselves, the sisters went into hiding and perform magic that put them to sleep for a thousand years.

There was more to it, but, like I said, I have sadly forgotten it all. Anyway, this drawing is of one of the middle sisters and represents North, Winter, Black, Water.

This was one of my first serious attempts at editing one of my drawings in photoshop...and IT TOOK FOREVER!

During the third and final lesson of the School RP's Transfiguration lesson of term 27, students were given the task of catching rabbits by creating a cage around them. The homework assignment was to either write a brief essay about what we did, or illustrate it.

Clearly, I chose to illustrate! The girl on the left is my School RP character, Kurumi Hollingberry which I drew, scanned into my computer, and quickly colored. The rabbit is clip art that I found online as is the cage. The background is actually from Studio Ghibli's film Tonari no Totoro/My Neighbor Totoro. The small wand in Kurumi's hand is actually from the Warner Brother's online shop. I think it is Hermione's wand, but I can't remember at the moment.

Pogrebin (XXX)- A Russian demon which is about a foot tall with a hairy body and smooth gray head. When crouching, it looks like a shiny rock. They like following humans and making them hopeless, at which point they will go to their knees and the pogrebin will devour them. You can get rid of them with Stupefying Charms or by kicking them.

This was part of Term 26's Defense Against the Dark Arts' final exam in which students had to observe various creatures and identify them. We were then asked to draw a picture of one and here we have everyone's Eino's favorite little rock demon. I drew the line art, scanned it, and then added texture and effects using photoshop. I am sure you all recognize the image used for the background!

This is the oldest of the dragon goddess sisters in that fan fiction I mentioned in a previous post. She is actually my favorite, personality wise, and is an air head in every sense of the word. She is the goddess of the East, Spring, and Wood.

SPOILER!!: { sakura senshi }

So, two of my close friends and I were inspired by the live action drama of Sailor Moon and wrote our own 10 episode script for a show called The Beauty Blossom Knights that was more of a spoof off the magical girl genre than a serious piece of work. The main characters were three teenage girls who were granted powers by the Goddess of Spring herself, Persephone, to defeat the evil Frozor from covering the entire world in an eternal winter. We actually filmed the episodes, made all the costumes, but never got around to editing. Now...the files are lost. Sadness.

This is a picture of my character, Hanako, who is the Blossom Knight of Cherry Blossoms (sakura). Another line sketch that was then scanned and edited. The Japanese characters at the bottom　桜の戦士 (sakura no senshi) means Cherry Blossom Knight.

Once again, another character drawing for that Dragon Goddess series that never got written. I really should get back into the mind set of writing it. I had it fully outlined and everything! But the, my computer died and I lost all the data...

*ahem* Anyway, this girl is the Dragon Goddess of the West and represents fall, white, and metal. She is actually my second favorite conceptually in terms of her costume and look. Personality wise...she is overly aggressive and strong willed.

Another pre-scanner picture and one that I wished I had colored on the computer before I took colored pencils to it. *sigh* Oh well, you live and learn.

Chibi (ちび) is the Japanese word that means "small" or miniature. When this is attached to a drawing of a person, it sometimes takes on the name SD or Super Deformed. Why deformed? I have no idea? It is probably another English word that Japanese just attached to their language without really knowing the meaning. Kind of like calling an electrical outlet a "consent" or thinking that "choux crème" pronouned "shoe cream" will make English speakers think of a cream puff.

This is one that I am tempted to edit in photoshop in the future since my coloring with colored pencils leaves much to be desired.

When I began drawing this, I didn't really have a particular person in mind...but as I drew it, I began to realize that I was drawing myself! So, this is me if I were an anime/manga character.

I drew this while looking at an artbook for one of my favorite animes, Magic Knight Rayearth. I really wanted to add in more details - aka not leave her with a white kimono - but I just ran out of steam. May be another one to edit eventually in photoshop.
