Hogwarts RPG Name: Isabella Thompson First | Yeah exactly. Not everyone can be nice to him all the time. It wouldnt be fair, he is a human being. |

| When David was first cast I had my doubts about his 'looks', but after you see him in the movie he is amazing. He really pulled off the 'personality' so who cares if he didn't look exactly like I imagined! He really pulled off the part quite nicly in the end. I can't wait to see him in future HP movies. |

| I thought Thewlis was amazing.. he did an awesome job. About the friendliness thing.. i think it will show him more that way in the 5th movie (if there is one..and thewlis is in it). He wasnt exactly how i pictured him..but I like the Thewlis Lupin more than mine.. I dont get how some fans thought he was going to be handsome.. i pictured him old (not age wise..just looking older than he is) and tired looking with bags under his eyes. |

| YUK!!!
I really liked the movie but Lupin was soo ennoying!
He was totally wrong, he isn't how Lupin looks like. Lupin doenst have a ugly moustache and weird hair. Lupin doesn't put on music during the boggart lesson!
WRONG WRONG WRONG!!
I can go on for hours, but to conclude it here: they casted the wrong actor! |

| i really didn't like him in the movie i am sorry to say, though i loved him in some of his other movies. it really through me that he was cast becuase he doesnt look like i had pictured lupin looking (dont call me shallow or anything but i did imagine him looking more handsome),but i was willing to give him a shot. sadly, i was let down. i guess i always thought of lupin as a fun person to be around almost like a person still stuck in his teens even though he was growing older. to me he just seemed bland, almost like he didn't have much of a personality. |

I think Thewlis did a nice job, he didn't knock my socks off or anything, but he definitely could have been worse. But, I did find myself wondering at times - this guys is a Marauder? He could hold his own around Sirius and James? He didn't seem to have enough personality to be able to get along with those two as well as he was supposed to have. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Isabella Thompson First | He did have a personality. He was sort of mysterious in the film but then he really came into his own when he was telling Harry off or when he was in the shrieking shack. |

| I though Thewlis was pretty good. Maybe he wasn't what I pictured appearance wise but his acting was awesome. I thought the scence with Remus and Sirius was done soooooo well. It like gave me chills. I can't explain it. The boggart scene with him where he put the music on was great! I thought it showed him being a little michevious. All in all I thought Thewlis was good in this and I hope he returns for OoTP. |

| I think David Thewlis did a great job portraying Lupin, he was able to play a very believable Professor Lupin or at least I think so. |

| Nothing against Thewlis as an actor, he did as well as he could, but in my opinion he just wasn't the type for Lupin. The moustache was irritating, and he looked way too well-fed. Lupin ought to be less tall and, mainly, skinnier. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Isabella Thompson First | I thought though that at the end of the film he did look a lot more skinnier and a lot more gaunt, the way that Lupin is supposed to look. |

| At the end of the day, we were never really gonna see Lupin as we picture him in the book, I know I certainly had him down as being FAR more attractive in my head. But Thewlis is a fantastic actor, and did so very well. |

| i saw POA again last night and i have to say i loved David thewlis he was exactly like Remus he may not have looked like him but he captured the spirit of the charactor and that was what was inmpotant.
i for one cant wait untill OOTP untill we see him again. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Isabella Thompson First | Yeah I agree and I think by then if Thewlis reprises his role, then he will be even better than in PoA because Lupin is a much better character in OoTP |

I wasn't only the hideous moustache and everything. it only was that you cannot say: 'OMG! Is HIM!'... like I did, for example, with Aragorn or sam in tlotr... or just Snape, for that matter. I'm a big Snape fan (as well as lupin's and sirius') and ala did fill the part, even though her appearance wasn't what I imaged... he is Snape.. I don't know if I'm making sense now... |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Isabella Thompson First | No, not everyone is pleased with him. I thought he was fantastic and I thought he looked fine. But what I am saying is that not everyone is happy with his appearance and because we all have a different view of what we think Lupin should look like, we cant all be pleased. |
