| I think Gary did a fabulous job. When I saw him in Dracula he was really good. I'm very glad they got a wonderful Sirius. I also think that most of his tattoo's were ancient runes symbols as were I think the first 2 symbols on his azkaban number. |

| Quote: | I also think that most of his tattoo's were ancient runes symbols as were I think the first 2 symbols on his azkaban number. | They are... I did some research on Runes, and the first two symbols in his prison number are indeed Rune Symbols. The first one, is a symbol for the dice cup, symbolizing fate and Quote: | It urges you to make your own choices and take charge of your own destiny. | If that doesn't fit JKRs theme for the books, I don't know what does.
His second symbol - is the symbol for an elk. I know Sirius wouldn't have gotten to choose his number, but that does have a connection to James. It symoblizes protection.
There you go.. I know it was slightly off topic, but I found it rather interesting. |

| To quote Star Wars: I have a bad feeling about this... No, what I mean is: GoF is the longest book they make into a movie until now, so I reckon they'll leave the most out. Does that make sense?
Yay, Gary Oldman is superb!!! (Go Mr Zorg!!! ) |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Cale Markus Newell Sixth Year Ministry RPG Name:
Benjamin Peter Cobblesten Accidents & Catastrophes | Yeah, I hope they leave most of it in. I mean, if LOTR movie 3 was 3 hours, 20 minutes can't Harry Potter be that long?
I think Sirius was excellent. He did that whole "scary-murderous prisoner" thing VERY well. |

| The only complaints I have about Gary Oldman is first, that he was short. Well, he's 5'10, and I'm 5'6 and a half, so I guess I really can't complain about him being short, but you know, 6'3 David Thewlis dwarfed him. David was like a head taller than Gary.
Also, Sirius has been in Azkaban for twelve years. Don't you think his hair would have been longer?
Other than that, Gary was excellent as Sirius. He was able to convey the character well, and make people who have read the book before believe that he is really talking about killing Harry. And even though he did look rather hobo-ish, it fit the character. You could see all the darkness in his soul behind his eyes.
Gary Oldman is a good actor. Just think how good he would have been if they had more for him to say in the Shrieking Shack *coughneededMWPPexplanationcough*

Sirius was supposed to be taller than the rest of the Marauders, and he was instead the shortest. Also, in the book he has "elbow-length matted hair". I'm trying to figure out how that was interpreted to mean curly, chin length hair. lol. I know those two things aren't Gary's fault, and didn't affect his performance - but I would have liked him to look closer to the description we're given. |

Not really. The ragged clothes were invented in the time of PoA the book which came way before the PotC film.
Gary Oldman is Sirius. I loved both him and Thewlis.
Lupin - "Dont be an idiot Severus"
Sirius - "How can he not be? It's force of habit by now for him."
Lupin - "Be quiet Sirius"
Sirius - "Shut up Remus"
Snape "Look at you two, arguing like an old married couple!"
Sirius - "Oh why dont you just go play with your chemistry set!"
Earlier
Sirius - "I've waited for 12 years.....in Azkaban" .... "Peter's alive Harry and he's right here in this room. Come out, come out Peter" *insane cackle*
Earlier
Sirius - "So, are you going to kill me Harry?"
BAFTA worthy in every way. Bravo maestro! | Exactely! I totally loved him as Sirius! He had preascious little time to build up his character in PoA so it's not that easy to judge his performance, but from the little we saw I think he was brilliant! |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Isabella Thompson First | ^ Completely agreed. And about his appearance. I mean there isnt much they can do about the height of Gary Oldman, yeah they could have made his hair longer but it did look like he had been in Azkaban for 12 years with the way it was styled |

| I think Gary Oldman was wonderful at Sirius. The way he went from calm to scared to calm again when the dementors come to give the kiss of death was soo cool! He is a great actor and you can really tell on screen. He is a the best actor to play Sirius ever and i hope that they dont cut some of him out in the 4th movie, since Sirius comes back in the end and in the middle. |
