| I think he did a great job playing Sirius just he didn't look exactly like I pictured. I pictured him to look more handsome in a way. But maybe he will look better in the next movie. |

| Did Gary do a good job?? NO!
He did a SUPERB job!! I thought he was fantastic as Sirius and I can't wait for him to rekindle the character in GOF, because I love Gary Oldman and I don't think anyone else could have played the part as well as he did.
"Oh go play with your chemistry set Severus" Best quote in that entire movie!!! Along with the tapdancing spiders of course...
GARY, YOU ROCK!! :sorcerer: |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Isabella Thompson First | Quote: | I mean he wasn't as charming as I thought he would look | Yeah but he was in Azkaban for 12 years, did you expect him to come out looking all prince charming like? In the next book we all know that he looks much better because he starts living a little more normally and getting some good eating and stuff. |

But what's with all the tattoos? | They said the tattoos were Cuaron's idea... but I thought it didn't fit either... I mean, he really wasn't a criminal and I really doubt he would tattoo himself in a wizard prison...
I also felt he acted well... but as to 'good looking'... I don't thing Oldman could have been the 'best looking' in his class at any time... but as well, we should't expect them to follow the books descriptions either. (ex. Ron, George & Fred) |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Isabella Thompson First | I actually thought the tatoos added a nice touch to it, seeing as he was like the 'bad guy' and he was meant to look scary. |

Well, in some other fantasy novels, not to mention films, characters that have gone to jail have tatoos put on them as identification and also to mark who're the prisoners and who aren't.
I thought it was a spectacular effect; it gave the situation a sense of realism. |

^ I totally agree with that | What would you rather, they change the story? In the book he's in it for very little too. So in that sense it was true to the original text. |

| I think if they'd slowed the Shrieking Shack scene down, I would have liked Oldman's performance better. I thought he was too frantic, which might have been because of the pace of the scene. The way it went, I'm glad he was only on the screen for a little while because he really annoyed me. If they had slowed it down, and paced it like in the books (an impossiblility for the movie, I know) I think Gary would have really done a great job. How it was, however, I thought he acted like a drunken fool. lol. Sorry to all the fans.
I liked the tattoos... I think they fit. Sirius either could have gotten them in jail, which is not that unheard of, or he got them himself pre-Azkaban. And I really don't doubt Sirius getting a tattoo on his own accord. He probably even got a matching one with James. lol. Sirius seems like the sort of person who'd get some tattoos put on him, so I didn't really think the idea was far-fetched at all and I agree with Cuaron. Besides, if JK didn't picture Sirius with body art, she would have said something. |

| Yes, he did a really nice job. He looked really thin; it would take a lot of motivation to loose weight for a role. Yea, he was a bit crazy acting, but that's Sirius, right?

| I thought he did a great job! A lot of my friends wanted Jonny Depp to play Sirius... but I dunno, Jonny Depp seems like to much of a pretty boy to play Sirius. |
