It's truly amazing and magical.
I was also watching and reading the harry potter books when I was a little annoying brat, it was great to be brought up in the generation where everyone was hooked on harry potter, wondering when the next film will be coming out, and who finished reading this book first, etc. And now, the magic hasn't stopped, the new generation are enjoying the magic we experienced. I guess ,the magic never ends
Honestly, I think I'd be more hyped and eager to go to school, if I went to Hogwarts |

I love Harry Potter because it means so much to people who have read it when they were quite young.

I started to read the stories in my reading cass in 8th grade after my teacher recommended it. What caused me to keep reading it was that realisticand fantasy balance in the series. The series took me four weeks toread.

I bought the complete set of books for my youngest daughter. She was potter mad, loved it all. I read the books when I had run out of something to read and thoroughly enjoyed them. I have just reread them and enjoyed them so much again. i wanted to join a site so I could meet other fans and find out some behind the scene gossip and also to register with pottermore.
I have just watched Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2 and they were very close to the book. Which is a good thing
I think JK Rowlings is an amazing writer and has produced a wonderful set of books that are able to be read by everyone all ages
I guess these sites are for the "kids" but just to let you know that us older ones enjoy the books just as much as the younger ones. I bought the books for my youngest daughter when each one came out, she is the only one who shares my love of reading, and when she moved out she left them here. I have been looking after them for her, she will need them for her kids, and then I will have to buy my own set. I have just reread them and found them just as great as the first time I read them. I have just bought the DVD set and look forward to watching them

I read them my self even though I didnt understand some of the words. It helped me with my reading level when I was younger it was great. ^^. But yeeah thats how it came to be I have been obbessed with it ever since then. You should have seen how many times I played SS on the old play station ><

Share your stories with us! Reminder: I became a fan when i was in Elementary school.. we had this thing called "book orders".. idk if they do that in other states, well anyways.. everyone was talking about this book .. HARRY POTTER.. and i found it quite annoying. like who is this friggin' harry potter guy?!
so my former tiny self decided to invest eight dollars in the purchase of this book that had everyone so excite.. the rest is history!
I don't know what it is about Harry, perhaps it's that i always felt a bit like harry myself, a little bit left out when i was younger.

My sister used to like the films a lot and then she grew up and gave her books and films to me because she thought I might enjoy them and now I'm either reading the books, watching the films, on SnitchSeeker or on Facebook/Twitter looking at pictures of it<3

I didn't become a fan until I was in my mid twenties and to me it's a form of escapism. Apart form the obvious magic, there's a certain magic in Rowling's storytelling that just appeals to me. It's just a fabulous story.

Well, to begin with, my mum used to read me The Philosopher's Stone before bed, and I fell in love with it. I loved the characters, (at that time, I preferred Hermione, but that may just be due to the fact that i'm a girl...). Ever since then I've been obsessed, completely with the series. I love the fact that I can come home from the worst day in my entire life, pick up a Harry Potter book, read it, and become apart of the magical world itself, instead of being bothered with the hustle and bustle of a "muggle's life" I can laugh about Fred and George's firework explosion of Delores Umbridge's classroom, or I can cry about the deaths of my favorite characters. Harry Potter never gets old. It always makes me feel better. |

Well, I'd have to say the books because the first real book I read was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

When I was in 4th grade my teacher read the sorcerer's stone aloud during our breaks. After that, I read more and saw the movies. I loved to read them and be taken away from my life for a while.

I started my Harry Potter journey when I was 7. I picked up the first book and 12 years later i'm still hooked. J.K. Rowling and the genius that she is, helped to teach me how to dream and grow my imagination.

I like th eworld of hp because it's a world unlike me own, but with characters i can relate to. that's what i find really interesting.
