It's magical. I've necer thought that I could do anything and now with this world it makes me feel that I can do anything if I just put my mind to it. I know it sounds lame and that magic isn't real, but not everything they(the Trio) succeded in was because of magic, it was because of their brains and their determination and their faithfulness to each other. That's why I love it. Well, that and the fact that you have Fred, George, Charlie, Tonks, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Neville, Luna, Blaise, and Draco. |

| I love the books because they truly are just magical. They are captivating and unforgettable. Rowling created a wonderful world that I don't think I'll ever quit enjoying. The characters are rich and lovable and the writing style is easy and fun to read. I cannot wait for the day when I read them to my own children. |

i think i cant explain why i love harry potter so much...
i read my first boot when i was 9 so i waitet on the hogwardsletter for 3 years
i really had dreams about when i would get this letter.
it was my biggest wish .. but when i realized that i would not get that letter i cried. i truly cried. now imagine a 11year old girl crying cause she doesn't get a letter from hogwards.
i also love harry potter so much because i love the characters, espacially hermione. i can identify with her really good and she truly helped me through bad situation. generally hp helped me through a lot of situations i couldn't handle by myself.
again i love it cause you can get lost in this world.

I was really young when I started to read the books, and after a while I got hooked. I love the way that J.K. adds suspense. I also love the plot and especially the magic.

| Here's how I got into Harry Potter;
I watched Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in the cinemas as did many other children my age.. I then proceeded to watch Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, ETC. So each film I watched in the cinemas, then as soon as they were released on DVD, I purchased them.. I must admit that I did not read the books until Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was due to come out.
But here I am now, a complete Potter-head madly in love with Daniel Radcliffe! |

When I was quite young, my older brother would read me 2-6 chapters every night after I got ready for bed. Once we got through one of the book together, I'd read them on my own. My neighbor and I used to 'play' Harry Potter every day after school. British accents and all I was always Hermione.
Harry Potter has always been my escape. Escape from reality, escape from my troubles. It taught me to be strong and to challenge my fears. I still adore all things Harry Potter, and one day when I am married and have children, they will read the books and watch the movies and escape their troubles and challenge their fears as I did.

I think the things that most interested me about the HP universe were the very interesting way that the magical and muggle worlds intersect. The characters were interesting, though I don't agree with some aspects, especially in the later books.
It amazes me that it started with JKR writing notes on napkins! It sure has gone far beyond that!

Harry Potter,
Is the only thing that helped me transfer myself into a completely different, and magical world! I fell in love with the book.

I have A LOT TO SAY WHY I AM OBSESSED WITH HARRY POTTER and the HP WORLD. Life is boring that's just it. I wanna be able to whip my wand and say accio water. i wanna be able to clean my room without actually CLEANING IT. Being a witch may be a little be absurd (as my mom says it) but i love the idea where you can just ride a broomstick and fly to the sky and feel the wind in your face. I mean, who doens't like playing quidditch and drink butterbeer or going to the weasley shop for some awesome prank souvenirs?? Did i just sound psycho or what?! LOL!

I think what made me a pottermaiac is that while reading the books, I could picture myslf in another world and it was nice to get away from the harshness of real life.

Here's my snarky input: Because the other fandom option was Twilight. D:
But the real reason is because there is Nothing flat in the verse. Everything and everyone has a story and a round personality.

I was in high school and my sister got the SS DVD for Christmas. Me, being an annoying little sister, swiped it and watched it. I just fell in love with it. I love the idea that all this could be going on right underneath our noses. :-)

Well, first I hated Harry Potter really.
A friend of my, had her birthday. She would go to the cinema with us.
The Half-Blood Prince was just in the cinema, so she told us we'd go to Harry Potter.
I was like 'What?!!' I absolutly didn't want that. There was a moment where I even didn't want to go. But I decide to go, and that week everyone who was going to the party talked about it. '' Yeah, I'm scared about Dementors'' ''The Goblet of Fire is my favourite''. They all said something like that. And I thought: ''What's a Dementor?''
But when we went to the cinema, and the film was over, I was like: ''Wooowwh''
I really loved it. I was talking about it the rest of the week. And then I started watching the other movies. They were great! I was getting a fan!
And now, they are really getting sick of me, because I'm every day, every hour, every minute, talking about Harry potter. I know everything!

Florence Ares Magical Games & Sports | I became involved with Harry Potter when my sister-in-law starting obsessing over it about 5 years ago. I watched PoA first, then kinda didn't watch/read anything else. Then about 2 months before HBP hit theaters, I started listening to PS on audio book. I've been absolutely obsessed since, and have read the books multiple times! And now I work at a movie theater, so I can see the movies for free! =] |

It all started in fifth grade... (*flashback*)
Okay, so half the class had huge, thick books on their desks. And I kept wondering about that. I had heard of Harry Potter, but I wasn't really interested (or allowed at the time, because of all the socery and whatnot). Well, I told my father, and he said that he owned the first book, and that maybe I could read it. So I did. Then I ended up reading all of them, buying every movie, quoting it, etc. My mom read them with me. I gradually because obsess... I mean, a fan.
(*This is irrelevant, but you Reading Counts, or AR? I got over 800 points that year *)

I love Harry Potter (not the character himself ,) because you can escape into the magical world and leave all problems behind and it lets my imagination go wild as well.

Did not read the whole thing. Sometime in primary school my mum got it for me for Christmas. I didn't really get into it through the first chapter so I set it down for a couple months and picked it back up out of boredom. I read it and loved it. I couldn't put it down. I never saw the film in the cinema but my grandmum get the tabe for me. I loved the movies as well.

| It's the books! My brother read the first book first like 10 years ago and he said it was great. I've always think his taste in books are good since i've read the twilight series and house of night series because of him. The first book was really funny and yeah, it makes me hate the dursley. I mean, nobody ever introduced me to the magical world like how j.k. rowling did (",) |
