Rowling's creativity with the Harry Potter series is second to none, for one. For another, the different themes she weaves throughout the books are timeless, and it's always nice to be reminded of them every now and again.

Having just lost my dad back in December, I've started reading the books again in order to try to get my mind off of things, if only for a little while.

I was introduced to the amazing world of Harry Potter through my school library. Luckily I was one of the first to check out a copy of the Sorcerer's Stone. I finished it in just a few days and was left wanting more. Chamber of Secrets only solidified my love for the series, and haven't fell out of love yet.

The way jk wrote these books was amazing.
I feel I get lost in the books time has no meaning.
I can imagine myself in there world.
It’s magical and everyone wants a bit of magic in there life.

I love that I can switch off from the real world and escape for a few hours.

The writing, of course, is amazing, and once you start it pulls you deep into the story, as a reader I loved the immersion, as a writer I am in awe of her craftsmanship.
But the story itself, the way it’s told, I love that. There is a basic storyline everyone can relate to, mean people, many judging you for who they think they are. And then those unexpected gems you find along the way that becomr your true friends and share your experiences and your life. But all ofnthis relatable things, and the possitive messages of friendship, strength, confidence and fighting for what you believe in, come in this amazing magical packege where there are wonders everywhere you look. It’s a world any of use would love to live in.
So in long, that’s basically why I love The Potteverse so much

I like Harry Potter because everything is very thought out. There is nothing to compare him with. So that I do not read or look, it is not worth that level.

My mom first read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone to me as a child. Before bed, she would tuck me in and read a chapter. By the time she finished the first book, I was ready to read the rest on my own, and I was hooked from there! We would watch all the movies together as they were released and had some pretty neat discussions about them. I am so grateful that I had my mom to talk about the books with - a lot of my friends weren't huge fans, so it was amazing to have someone to talk to. I think the Wizarding World is so special because it allows us to escape from our everyday lives. We can forget about the bad things going on and just focus on the magic. It's such an immersive universe that J.K. Rowling created, and it makes it incredibly easy for us to jump into it.

When the first book came out, I was pretty much the same age as Harry, and I read it immediately and just wished that I had gotten my letter, too. (no such luck!) - I've been hooked ever since. The books have helped me through some of the darkest times in my life, and will always hold a special place in my heart.

Harry Potter has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. The world seems so real and its far more exciting than the one we live in. The characters have actual personalities and their emotions are portrayed in such fantastic ways. Additionally I love the fandom. Of course its not perfect but HP fans will always hold a place in my book.

Aw man, wish I could go there. Unfortunately, living in the UK and having no money stops me. I'd take my own wand, though, and hack the interactive magic...

I started reading the books when I was 9 and at that time it was practically impossible for me to go anywhere without them, to this day I'm still very attached to the Wizarding World and the stories and people within it.
Harry Potter changed where my life was going at that point, and it helped me to not feel alone, it helped me escape. The books encouraged my mind and my creativity and just opened my eyes to a world of possibilities. I can't imagine where my life would have gone had I not read the books and they will always hold a special place in my heart.

My mom bought one of the books for my birthday and ever since then I've been hooked. Now I'll be reading Harry Potter for life. I think HP might've started my love for magical/fantasy books.

I've been reading the books since, ironically, the age of 11. I read PoA first and was hooked. Eventually read all four that were out at the time in the correct order after my parents bought them for me, but really what it's always boiled down to for me is that the Wizarding World has served as a place of escape for me. JKR has created a world that is so beautifully intricate and vast, with so much information to uncover (and still things yet to, I would assume!), and each time I come back to these books, I find that I learn new things about the HP universe and about myself.

The books made me feel less alone at a time in my pre-adolescence when most of the time I felt weird or unpopular or, well, alone. It taught me the value of friendship and sticking up for what is right, even when it costs you. It taught me acceptance for myself and for others. And it continually reminds me that no matter how bad the world around us gets, there are still people in the world somewhere who are fighting to make it better. And that we have the choice to be that person too.

The fandom has provided a place for me to belong too! I made a lot of friends through online forums, fan sites, fanfiction and roleplay sites, and even on instant messenger groups. Name a platform and I was probably involved on it, haha! But really, knowing that something like HP could unite so many people around the world is still really cool to think about. And I love that no matter whether you're solely a book fan, solely a movie fan, a fan of both, or stumbled into the fandom late or by some other strange circumstance, we can all find common ground with our collective love for Harry Potter.

(I just have a lot of feelings about the HP universe, sorry not sorry.)

I love the themes of Harry Potter, ones that younger and older readers can catch and go into. The world is also well fleshed out throughout the seven books, enough that I could imagine it well while reading. I remember getting lost in the world of Harry Potter, and all of the characters and creatures.

Sometimes my life is pretty much a bum trip, and Harry Potter helps me escape from my problems for a while and makes me feel better. It’s actually kind of amazing.

Harry Potter lets me get lost. There's so much potential in an entire world of magic that you can read the original books, but there are Harry Potter theories that you can listen to, and there's also so much fanfiction that, contrary to some other great books, Harry Potter can entertain you and inspires you in a million different ways, and there's always something new that you can find.
