1. I love to read.
2. You can break down every single moment of the books.
3. Nothing is "cut" out like in the movies.
I love the movies because:
1. The books are brought to life.
2. It is more realistic.

In the books, you can see what your mind perceives what hogwarts looks like, what Diagon Alley looks like andwhere the shops are, the goblins in Gringotts and how they walk and talk and act like, etc. You can basically make a movie your own head. Whereas in the movies, you can only see what's there on the screen and how it looks and you think that that's how things are supposed to be. They take away your imagination.

I can't decide because the books are absolutely AMAZING and I love them to bits. But the movies made it real and you could see it in front of your own eyes. So I LOVE THEM BOTH

They are just so rich and you get so much more from them. I'm happy we had the movies, although I wonder what it would have been like if we had a miniseries of the books so they could take time and actually include everything

Mostly the books. I have no problem creating the visuals in my head when I read, and there's a lot of detail and backstory in between the pages.
That doesn't mean I don't like the movies. They definitely help when trying to make graphics for the fandom.

I love the books because of the imaginative detail and backstory available. Though I love the movies as well, they are limited in time and are primarily the creative vision of the director. I've also almost always found that the books are immensely better than the movie in just about movie adaptation I've watched.

I had to vote for the books. Most of the movies are still pretty good, but they cannot compare to the whole story in the books. Also, I absolutely loathe the 4th movie because I felt it didn't do justice to the story. That doesn't stop me from watching, lol. My name is hyperin and I am a Harry Potter addict. | |
