Hi, everyone, I'm Linda, and I'll be your Mod of the Month for the month of August (in addition to Tiffanie).
Here's a little bit about me. I first got involved with the Harry Potter series in 2000, after a relative recommended them to me (I read Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire all in a row, finishing in a couple of weeks). From that point on, I was hooked.
I came to find Snitch Seeker in August of 2006, so this month marks my third year on the site. I am currently the Muggle Studies professor Antonio Dumont as well as Department of Education Head Samantha Rose, and I am also Yearbook Editor, a SOTS writer, a ghost writer for the Daily Prophet, and sponsor and officer of many, MANY fan clubs. I love the site and love to help out with fun events for our members. Nothing makes me happier than to see people having a great time here.
I live in California, and work full-time as a transcriber typist. I was recently laid off, but was able to find another job in the same classification. My main hobby is knitting (which is all consuming to me!), but I also enjoy bowling, scrapbooking and reading. I love writing, as well, and enjoy traveling to new places. My favorite styles of food are Italian and Chinese.

My favorite character from literature is Scarlett O'Hara from Gone with the Wind. She had such an indomitable spirit, even though she had seen a lot of tragedy in her life nothing ever broke her. She's a great character.

Heehee, that's an easy one for me!
My patronus would be a fox. The reason is because the fox has all the traits I most admire - cunning, clever, survivor type instincts. Very nice skills to have!

Well, my job originally was to type a bunch of boring reports from machine dictation, but I switched to a new department (not voluntarily!) and now I do mostly record keeping and correspondence, as well as working with a court docket and keeping track of a large group of clients. My job is a little bit different now and in some ways more challenging.
My favorite song changes all the time. My fave of all time is one I shared with Becky by Aerosmith called "Amazing". It really is an amazing song! Quote:

Hello Linda I'm very pleased to be given an opportunity to meet an adult potter fan i have read all the books and am awaiting the movies anxiously but i have no one to talk to abt it as the only fans i know are much younger than me and discussing some points are kinda hard to do.
