Howdy everybody!
I'm lemondrop13, also known as Tiffanie (and a whole slew of other odd nicknames - feel free to inquire!) and I will be your Mod of the Month for August (in addition to Linda.) Here on SS, I am the Ministry RPG and Diagon Alley RPG (including the Daily Prophet) Admin, as well as a Ministry Department Head in the Minister's Office on Level One (I play the newly elected Minister of Magic, Reagan F. Taylor!). In the School RPG, I play Macadrian Ashling Shackleton, the Arithmancy Professor and Hufflepuff Head of House, as well as the Gobstones Club Advisor and Quill Advisor/Editor. I also am the OOC Coordinator of the OWLs and NEWTs that students take in their 5th and 7th years, respectively. I've also had a number of roles on SS in the past, and though I won't list them here, feel free to ask if you're curious.
In real life outside of SS, I am a dental student due to graduate in May, at which point I will finally be a dentist and will either be doing a residency or will be entering a practice. I am engaged, no children just yet, though we do have a pair of bunny rabbits (who live in a 3-floor condo!). We all live very happily together in Connecticut, USA!
And so, without further ado, let the questioning begin!

What is your fave book? (Aside for HP, that is) Ya know, ever since I was a little kid I always LOVED going to the dentist. My pedodontist was really great with kids and I never had a bad experience. So I think not having a negative experience still kept it in the realm of possibilities for me. Then in high school, I was very much interested in forensic science, specifically forensic odontology, which uses dental records to identify criminals and/or victims. In high school we were asked to do an internship somewhere we wanted, and I wanted to go to the crime lab, but they were no longer letting students into the labs (it was shortly after September 11th and security was increased significantly), so I decided I would go observe the dentistry aspect of it. I ended up LOVING dentistry from my exposure during that internship and its been dentistry ever since! (Though I most definitely plan to do some forensic dentistry when I'm older and need to retire when my hand skills decline.) Nice long answer for you!
As for my favorite book aside from HP, I simply could not choose because I love to read and have so many favorites, but I'll name a few: The Plague Tales, Twilight series, the Gemma Doyle trilogy, Canterbury Tales, and a bunch of others that I can't think of because I just woke up  Quote:

My favorite HP professor... probably McGonagall - she's strict but she's fair and she truly cares about the education and well-being of her students. She stands up for what she believes even when it may be detrimental for her. She's an ideal professor in my book.

Not only does each employee get to play integral roles in their department's plots, but there are tons of ways to get involved in Ministry-wide plots!
And let me tell you, we have a SUPER FUN new plot beginning very VERY soon, so everyone should get themselves acquainted with the Ministry and keep their eyes peeled for opportunities to join in on the fun!
Also, there are NUMEROUS opportunities to get promoted and take on more responsibilities either as Division or Department Heads for those people looking for ways to get more involved on SS. Not to mention, Ministry employees get to RP in Diagon Alley year round and mingle with the shopkeepers!
What's not to love?!

since i know you were at one point deeply involved in the fan clubs, then do tell us what your favorite(s) are and why? My favorites are probably the ones I used to sponsor, which include the JKRFC, the MEMFC, and the Graveyard. I'd say the Graveyard is probably my all time favorite because we organized some great, superfun events while I was a sponsor there and we had a lot of member participation. Nice to meet you too I would say that yes, I have definitely encountered people who find it odd that I am such an avid HP fan at my age - and my response to them is usually that it is FUN and entertaining and that I can appreciate books written at any level as long as you approach the genre knowing what to expect. Besides, they're just jealous
