Hola everyone!
I'm Cristygen also known as Cristy and I'll be your mod of the month during the month of September! I've been a member of SS for 5 years now and I'm currently the Language Support Manager where I oversee all the Department of International Cooperation and its forums. I'm also one of your Newbie Forum mods here at Platform 9 & 3/4 and over at the games forum, Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. I also help mod the Spanish forum, which was my first mod job here on SS.
In real life, I live in Puerto Rico (meaning my first language is Spanish, of course  ). I'm still a Graduate Student working on a Masters in Molecular Biology hoping now to graduate on May. *crosses fingers and toes*
Now I'm here to ask questions, so feel free to do so. Only post questions, otherwise, your posts will be deleted. Be sure to follow SS rules when thinking of a question and I reserve the rights to avoid answering a question that I deem too personal. Otherwise, go crazy! XD | |

Well, while we do work with Sea Cucumbers, we are more interested about their regenerative capabilities, of how they can regenerate almost every organ in their body. However, several attempts to breed them at the lab haven't been successful so we are not well informed about their life cycle.
Although we do know how to differentiate between males and females. After they expel their internal organs, the male have white reproductive organs while the females have pink one. Pretty appropriate, huh? XD
So, stranger, any other scientific questions?

Hmmmm so you are saying a sea cucumber would not make a good pet? I don't want a pet that might go belly up in a few days, I have kids. So do you know of any pets that also regenerate organs I can get for a 2 and 6 year old to play with? The regeneration process is important, my 2 y/o is a bit rough.

Be nice to the old, tired lady! Not really, especially since they don't really do much. And I have the perfect pet for you! A newt! They are also good at regeneration, especially their limbs. xD. I'm 26 years. Favorite book? hmmmm, you know, I don't have a favorite! It's always hard for me to pick a favorite thing like that, same with movies. they just come and go. At some point I like one and then another comes and takes it's place.  Now I do have a favorite color and that would be purple! Although Blue and red are a close second. I don't follow Tennis much but I do admire Roger Federer. His had a long carrier and to remain one of the top tennis players out there is amazing. Quote:

It's great that you like Roger!!! He's my favourite too!!!!! His backhand stroke is great!!! Favorite song is a Spanish song called Luz de Dia (Daylight) by Enanitos Verdes. Beautiful song.

I don't know why I became a mod. The need arose for a mod and I was an active longstanding member and when they needed a mod, they contacted me asked me if I would like to be a mod. Quote:
