Personally, I've been a "Harry Potter" fan for a few years, having first discovered 'Philosopher's Stones' at the tender age of 10. I became a real fanatic at 12 when I read 'Prisoner of Azkaban' and have been truly Potty ever since! Now I'm nearly 19 years old and eagerly awaiting/dreading the release of book 7!

I actually had to read the first book for a book report/project thing in sixth grade. I never used to read anythign at all unless I absolutely HAD to. I hated reading and actually refused to read the HP books at first. But then I read parts of it for that HP unit and got like 90%, which i felt all special for since i hadnt really read the whole thing. So I started reading them after that and became a huge fan. Now I go to Chapters and wait til midnight for teh book to come out, was second in line for HBP, woulda been first but lets not get into that....=P

I first saw the preview of the first movie... then I went to the store and saw a good deal for the books. I fell in love when I saw the first movie..

Well im a fan because i absolutly love the books i found it in a book shop once (Waterstones i think) and it ticked all my boxes:
1.adventure
2.magical
3.good & evil
*ding ding ding* so i bought it and read it and it was AMAZING it totally rocks!

Also i believe in magic; i think there is a magical world. whether it is like Harry Potter's world we do not know... JK may be closer to the truth than we think she is...

there is nothing else to it...

because they're the types of books you can read without thinking too much and allow yourself to dream whilst reading them

I love Harry Potter, ever since Prisoner of Azkaban came oput, I have loved it even more, I love it more and more everyday! I think its the magical world, the way JK Rowling writes and the tensions and atmospheres she creates makes me eager and keen to read these wonderful stories! That's why I read them millions of times over!
I hope veryone else feel the same way to becuase I doesn't cost Warner Bro. millions and millions of punds to create dramatic and wonderful movie, so like the books. All the actor work especially hard to keep entertained! Harry Potter rules! <3 <3 <3

It's hard to remember a time in which I didn't like Harry...but I do remember I use to make fun of it with my cousin up until the third grade. My third grade teacher was gonna read The first book aloud to the class every morning and that night was when I had my mom go out and buy me the book from Target. I guess I've been addicted eversince and have become the only Harry Potter wiz in the family. I wish I could say the same for my cousin, but...

well, first of all, i loveto read, so, i was captvated forst by the books. ten, well, im a person, so duh i love TV, but i thnk the srorties were so powerfully written, i mean, there are little things mentioned tat turn out to be soo important in te story, it has little complex mini plots that twist and turn into the real one at times, and sometimes jab away, having nothing to do with the story.

The dream of a magical world is one that I always hoped would come true. The Harry Potter books and movies have gone a long way is satisfying this dream! Being able to escape into this world.......away from kids, husband, job.......enables me to recharge and gives me a bit of fun to face those bothersome Muggles.

justin247 - I find myself asking the question "are you as sarcastic as me?" I doubt it... *giggles!*

I love Harry Potter because it takes me into a world that's so free and I really feel like I'm there. It's pure escapism. (and beautifully written and well planned out)

I have been reading since I was 2 (yes, those bath books count!) and at the age of 14 I read the first four books, as i had been given the american set for a birthday present... i loved them and have been a fan ever since! In fact I am so much of a fan that I stole my brother's fifth book and read it before he did! lol

I like Harry potter because it's a very good series, and I have a very big imagination, so I was able to imagine the characters before the movies came out.

I've always been facinated by magic... My brother gave me the first HP book for my 12th birthday and I got hooked... Reading HP makes me think that magic really exists...

I can't really remember WHEN it was that I first read the Philosophers Stone, but I became a fan when I got to the part where Hagrid came in.

At first I hated Harry Potter like anything after that my friends and my family forced me to watch it on pogo. After watching the movie I really loved it. Since then I became the biggest Harry Potter fan in my gang.
