Snitchseeker was established in the year 2002. It has been going on for almost 6 years, and has had several upgrades throughout this period. The site, as you see it today, is the product of all the hard work and contribution of all it's Administrators, Moderators and Members.

You can get sorted if you are a member (10+) and once the sorting opens in May.

RPG stands for "Role Play Game" (i.e. the School/Ministry RP) and OCC stands for "Out Of Character" which is used to point out comments made by you, rather than your character, within the course of an RP post. =]

The "animal" names above your avvie, below your user name, is your rank according to the number of posts you've made so far on the site. As you make more and more posts, the rank changes. The ranks are based on the Magical Creatures found in the world of Harry Potter.

Some of the ranks that you will achieve while posting on the site are given here. There are many more ranks to achieve after those, which you can find out when you achieve them yourself, or come across a rank sported by another member of the site.

Once you obtain your tenth post on SS you will become a member and at that time you will gain access to your User Control Panel. Once in your UCP, just click on the "Edit Avatar" option (fifth one down) and either choose one of the many pre-defined images or upload/link to a custom avatar of your own. =]

Yes you can, you click on Forums, then Diagon Alley, then Gringotts wizarding bank or if you look to the left of the page there is a little white box, the title says Latest FanFics, if you click on that it will take you to the FanFic forum

To actually make a signature yourself you need to have a graphics program such as Photoshop or one of the other similar graphics type programs (there are many available, some good ones are actually free, like the one I have! You might even be able to make some basic signatures using Paint.) The signatures I make are usually about 375 wide by 140 tall, that's a pretty good size to use for a siggy if you are planning to create them yourself. I make my avatars 120 x 120. I then save them as a jpeg and upload them to Photobucket, then they can be saved into SS as your signature. If you don't want to venture that way and would like someone else to create a signature for you (at least at first!), then you should definitely check out Madame Malkins, where there are many, many talented signature makers who would be more than happy to create anything you may have in mind! Who knows, you may even open your own thread there some time soon! In any case, it's a great place to check out, it will give you tons of ideas! Madame Malkins

You can get a wand in Ollivander's which is located in Diagon Alley. However, Diagon Alley won't open until the time of the sorting. Once it does, you'll be able to take a wand quiz and you'll receive a wand from the shopkeeper.

How fast does time go in this RPG? Is it real time, because if it started in 2002, then the highest anybody should be is in their 6th year.
